Have you ever wanted to buy those standard packs, or maybe the new wild packs that were datamined? You're in luck! Blizzard appears to be making these available for purchase at all times which can be an exciting way to boost your collection where you've previously been missing cards. Newer players may also see some great value in these packs, being able to very quickly collect the budget-friendly common and rare standard cards.
Information isn't official yet, but things are looking very promising! Pricing on Standard and Wild packs is going to be the exact same as packs for any expansion.

Maybe late to the party but I´ve just opened both standard and wild packs to see if the first Legendary in 10 packs rule aplies and had Greybough in my first standard pack and Twig of the World Tree in my 7th Wild pack. Seems it works after all :)
Since these new types of packs are available to purchase them directly from the in-game shop with gold, can we confirm that both the standard and wild packs follow the pity timer rules?
I mean, a legendary guaranteed from the first 10 packs opened and then a legendary guaranteed every 40 packs and an epic guaranteed every 10.
We cannot just yet, but everyone sharing their track records does help. So far the majority seems to be leaning towards yes, but we've also had reports stating otherwise (don't know if factually or maybe a bug or personal mistake).
Opened a total of 4 standard and wild packs.
On my 3th standard pack i got Ysiel Windsinger. Maybe usefull for some combos in wild? Not sure though. Oh and 1 Chain Lightning (Rank 1) in my 2nd pack, so thats nice.
And in my 1st Wild Pack i got The Skeleton Knight. Whoo 400 dust! :P
Already knew the Wild Legendary was probably a BAD legendary, but this is worse than i could have ever imagined lol. Was kinda hoping for at least a bad legendary that i could use in a meme deck. Unfortunatly The Skeleton Knight is too bad to fit into a meme deck. (Already tried using him in Big warrior for fun, lets say it didnt go well lol. At least one opponent conceded once i played The Skeleton Knight, just out of pity/respect or something lol.)
Got a legendary Tavish Stormpike on my fourth pack (or ninth if you consider I bought the standard bundle with five packs a few weeks ago). But take it with a grain of salt, might've just gotten lucky.
Edit: Got Ragnaros, Lightlord in my second wild pack.
I’ll add my scientific findings to the mix. On precisely my 10th pack, I opened Bolvar Fordragon. I showed it to a public notary, and she stamped my phone screen to make it official.
I opened 9 Wild Packs and got a golden legendary on my 8th pack! Sweet Archmage Arugal!
one of the best golden animations! gratz
I wish I could exchange all my Classic Packs for Wild Packs
Got legendary in my 9th pack but some people on reddit state otherwise. One didn't get a legendary in first 10 and the other got on 20th. Still not sure if they bought the standard bundle few weeks ago
Thanks for the report!
That would be quite an important factor if they had already opened legendaries through that bundle purchase, too bad we can only know so much with their posts.
I opened 10 wild packs and got a legendary on my 9th pack in case anyone wanted to know.
I can't confirm anything but I got a legendary on my first wild pack. Will try standar next
Edit: Got my legendary on the 4th standar pack!
What is the different by this compared to buying packs for each xpac... cant you do that now?
You might be missing, for example, the Whole GVG and just a legendary and epic from TGT (let's think it is usefull somehow) then you open wild packs and have a chance to open those 2 cards while opening other stuff you might need.
In my case I am just missing 2 legendaries from outland and nothing else. I would preffer trying to pull them via standar packs
A simple and maybe dumb question... Will these packs have duplicate protection?
yep
Oh dear, there goes my hard earned gold.
Does the guaranteed legendary in first 10 packs work on these?
We won't really be able to tell until tons of people have opened more than 10 packs of each type and reported their findings. But they should, otherwise the recommendation will be simply not to buy them ever at normal prices, as that's going to be less valuable on average than just buying specific expansion packs.
The only other way to know for certain is to hope any HS developer (like Celestalon) responds to you on Twitter and shares what and why they are doing with regards to pity timer in various pack types.
