We've got three new bundles live in the Hearthstone shop today - Tavern Special & Bob's Bargain (Year of the Phoenix & Wild Editions).
As we previously reported, these bundles use the "custom" logic from Blizzard to "target" which one they think you'll buy so there are different options for each of them at different contents and price points. Originally we reported there were 3 different tiers for each of these bundles --at 10, 20, and 30 packs - but now we know that they are even more complicated than that!
As it turns out, the bundles that are now available can have weird numbers of packs or have even over 30! Our own FrostyFeet received a Bob's Bargain bundle that contained 24 Wild Packs and drummerdummbatz on Reddit has reported a bundle that contained 40 wild packs. Since we will not go through and find all the different combinations, we can at least tell you what you can expect out of the various bundles.
Tavern Special
- Legendary card(s) for Forged in the Barrens.
- Forged in the Barrens packs.
Bob's Bargain - Year of the Phoenix
- Legendary card(s) from Year of the Phoenix.
- Year of the Phoenix Packs.
Bob's Bargain - Wild
- Legendary card(s) from any set.
- The newly introduced Wild Packs.
You will see two of the above three bundles in the shop, so login and see what you got and let other fellow Out of Cards members know what deals you have access to in the comments below. Also, be sure to let us know if you decide to pick yours up!

Didn't even offer me the Wild bundle, and I probably would have ponied up for it lel
"these bundles use the "custom" logic from Blizzard to "target" which one they think you'll buy ..."
Their algorithm seems very smart cause they offered me Tavern Special with 2 legendaries and 35 packs from Barrens set for $30 even though I already have all the legendaries in that set!
The Other bundle is the Bob's Bargain with 2 leg + 40 wild pack for $30 from wild set.
I'm not sure if I want to buy wild (most probably I won't) since it contains lots of unimportant legendaries and I have over 100k dust (inc. dust from the extra cards) which I can use for crafting a specific wild legendary.
However, if they would have offered me the year of the phoenix bundles, I would most probably buy that..
So they offered me the two options that I don't want to buy. Very smart of them..
Yeah their logic doesn't take account of your collection just past purchases SMH
I don't remember buying a wild pack before. I'm mostly buying offerings from standard sets.
It is correct that I've bought the latest barren offering with the legendaries. But with that one, I've completed every missing legendary. There is no need to offer me more of that set :)
If they don't take your collection into account, they should upgrade that "custom" logic because it is failing miserably :)
Own 100% of Year of the Phoenix cards already and I'm only missing three cards from Barrens (2 Legendaries, 1 Epic). So of course I get offered 2 Barrens Legendaries and 35 packs for $30 or two Phoenix Legendaries (guaranteed to be duplicates) and 20 packs for $20. Meanwhile my incomplete Wild collection gets no love at all.
Nice "custom logic" Blizzard.
I am in the exact same unfortunate situation as you. I feel you...
Standard: 2 legendaries + 35 packs from Barrens for 37.49 CAD
Wild: 2 Legendaries + 40 packs for 37.49 CAD
Bought only the wild package (I have all the standard cards so not much worth for dust only)
Standard: 2 legendary 20 packs $20
Wild: 2 legendary 24 packs $24
The wild one would be better for my purposes but theres so many legendaries in wild that theres no way this "deal" is even close to worth doing. If they let you pick the legendaries or gave you 3200 dust instead it would have been better. At least for the wild "deal"
What was offered to me:
Tavern Special ($37 CA): 2 legendaries and 35 packs from Forged in the Barrens.
Bob's Bargain ($25 CA): 2 legendaries and 20 packs from Year of the Phoenix.

Got the Tavern Special right away, because I missed the similar deal that was offered just after release. Very happy with the results: I now have only 5 cards missing from Forged, down from 11. Sadly, Xyrella still eludes me, but I finally nabbed new Kazakus!
I haven't decided on my version of Bob's Bargain yet. I have 9 cards missing from that year, all legendaries. If I assume I'm marginally lucky, I could open a third legendary in the packs. I'm really only looking for Ringmaster Whatley here; none of the other missing cards have seen play, which means a 1 in 3 chance *at best* of getting him.
I wish one of these bundles had been Wild; I've got hundreds of missing cards for these expansions, including some rares!
They gave me the 2 legendary/20 packs for both Barrens and YotP, each for 39 reais. I'm tempted to get the former, but here in Brazil that is not exactly a small amount. I wish we could at least choose the Legendaries, I don't want to spend all that money to get f..ing Kargal Battlescar and some other random Legendary for a class I don't even play.
Tried to give 20 bucks to blizz.
"Sorry youre not eligible to purchase this bundle"
Well, decision made I guess.
I have been offered 2 legendary/20 packs Forged in the Barrens and 2 legendary/24 packs Wild. Both $19.99
I got:
Tavern Special - 35 Barrens Packs and 2 Legendaries for 37 CAD
Bob's Bargain - 20 Phoenix Packs and 2 Legendaries for 25 CAD
I ended up getting offered:
Bob's Bargain - 2 random wild legendaries and 40 wild packs for $29.99 USD
Bob's Bargain - 2 random standard legendaries and 20 year of the phoenix packs for $19.99 USD
I have all the standard cards so it makes sense that they offered me a bigger wild bundle. My brother was only missing 2 barrens cards and was offered a 40 pack bundle for barrens.
Tavern: 2Leg, 35 Barrens = $30
Bobs: 2Leg, 20 Pheonix = $20
Probably not taking them. If there was one for like 10 maybe I'd grab it but saving my money for now.
Tavern Special : 2 Forged in the Barrens Legendaries + 35 Packs for 29.99 EUR
Bob's Bargain: 2 Wild Legendaries + 40 Packs for 29.99 EUR
I got in the shop but am not purchasing:
Tavern special $20: w FiB legendaries and 20 FiB packs.
Bob's bargain $20: 2 random wild legendaries and 20 wild packs.
I don't have much of anything in wild except a budget disco warlock and murloc shaman decks, so this Wild bundle seems a drop in the ocean for covering old sets.
I'm sitting pretty well on my collection now, but the Special would have been a purchase in the past.
If you don't have a full set of Wild commons yet, you'll get 5 new cards per pack, instead of half the packs being 40 dust. On the other hand, there are a lot of unplayable legendaries in Wild, so that part of the bundle is not guaranteed to work out well.
That's super weird ... I have a full standard collection and I am mainly a wild player, still I didn't get the wild offer. Their datamining is weird.
same happened too me!
