Except this is garbage and thanks God it is garbage. No way they will cut a good card for this in the final version of next expansions big priest.
This card seems like it can be really strong with deathrattles with the deathrattle activating twice like cairne making a super sticky minion. It's also insane on zillax having it come back with divine shield and taunt again to heal a ton. Also consider the difference between this costing 1 mana vs the 2 mana spell paladin had is a huge difference because usually you want to be playing it on the same turn as the minion you're playing it on so being able to do the combos 1 turn earlier is huge.
Miracle Priest likes this card.
Including its Wild counterpart with Radiant Elemental.
I don't know into what sort of deck this should go in in standard ...
Deathrattle Priest maybe.. (?) for extra value.
Yea, but how viable is deathrattle priest? It's not now and haven't seen any new cards (except for reborn) that would make it worthwhile.
I could think of some resurrect list, but that just doesn't work in standard because it has no good early game or real win condition.
Maybe it would work in a mid-priest build, but the details of that deck are not clear to me yet. Will need to wait and see probably...
Likely to see play. Even Big Priests may choose to run it, I feel.
Funny with Zerek ;)
I dusted him :(
This one is scary
I had such a card in mind and just thought that blizz would never dare to print this. Same reason you can’t give stealth to other minions anymor
Although, Reborn is more like a mix between giving a minion Divine Shield and giving it the deathrattle of another minion on board (in power level.... of course, you're actually giving it it's own deathrattle again). Now, for 1 mana that seems like pretty awesome value I'll readily admit, but it's nothing like hiding a permanent effect behind stealth
This is pretty exciting. Reborn minions can help you trigger heal synergies and make some use of your hero power. Since this is a spell, you get more control over when the reborn triggers. Cool, will try it out!
Reprint of Desperate Stand.
I don't think this is quite a reprint of Desperate Stand - in fact, I think it's strictly weaker (but not worse, as the one mana discount is huge). A creature can stack multiple deathrattle effects, even if those effects are equivalent, but I don't think a creature can benefit from the same keyword more than once (e.g. giving a windfury minion windfury doesn't give it mega-windfury, etc.). So, presumably, you get no benefit from casting this on a reborn monster, and no benefit from stacking it with itself. That's not a huge difference, but I think it explains the one-mana difference.
I see what you mean. I forgot that Reborn doesn't stack, so thanks for bringing this up.
Well, the whole Reborn mechanic was decidedly unoriginal. That said, I'm sure this will help Priest but it's nothing earth-shattering.
Now, if there's a card out there that has synergy with Reborn other than the Paladin quest then perhaps this will be stronger.
This could probably help push a more midrange/big Priest archetype, but if neither happens, the only place I can see this card being played is in Nomi Priest, not just because it's a 1 cost spell but also because it reserrects your [Hearthstone Card (Wild Pyrocmancer) Not Found] and Gadgetzan Auctioneer.
I completely agree with everything you said.
priest cards are so boring, this is no exception
