Meh, doesn't seem that good. Sure a 2 mana weapon is good, but hunters already have Headhunter's Hatchet for 2 mana, and Headhunter's Hatchet often will be a 2/3 weapon. Bloodseeker will need more time to buff up, and might be hard considering a LOT of 1-2 cost cards these days have 3 health. Still i don't want to completely disregard Bloodseeker. It has potential, but i don't see it being used in any existing hunter deck right now.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Reminds me of the Phaoris' Blade treasure, in that you want to use it to go face eventually, but you build it up by attacking small minions.
There's lots of potential with this one, but Stormhammer it is definitely not. Because the attack scales when upgraded you'll reach a point where your weapon simply can't gain any more durability simply because your opponent's minions either get too far ahead, or have too little health.
I'd expect this to see play simply because it discourages people from playing 2 health minions on 2 just so this card cant snowball the early game and make up a massive weapon in the late game. But since we already know Rustrot Viper will be everywhere - courtesy of Lightforged Cariel - it makes it even less likely this will ever get more than 2 attacks in.
I get vibes of that Storm hammer from dragon hunter. Except worse because it relies on what ones opponent plays. Still, a controlling Hunter could want this. So no Hunter wants this.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
It's a good early game tool, and feels bad to draw in the late game. If you can kill a lot of tokens with these in the early game, it can do a lot of damage to face later on. That feels a little slow for Hunter right now since the class mostly wants to go face from the get-go nowadays. I'll have to see what the rest of the set for the class looks like.
Even Hunter will be fun.
Could honestly just get the Honor Kill once and then punish your opponent with a Fiery War Axe the following turns. Trying to greed more out of it would rely on your opponent cooperating with you... and in which case you're crashing your face into progressively bigger and bigger minions, and Hunter isn't exactly known for their recovery.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Ok card i guess - but nothing more!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
The main problem with 2 mana 2/2 weapons with an upside is that 2 damage is usually not enough to kill something at 2 mana. And now they need you to kill something to even get that upside. No thanks.
I feel like this is very good in arena, but in Constructed there's just no point to it. Realistically you can maybe get 2 or 3 procs out of it, but only one of those will be able to go face so what'S the point. not like Hunter can just shrug off taking damage either. This would be better in Warrior.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
A bit unconvinced this weapon will be good. You'd really need to by lucky on your minion hits, and remember Hunter wants to go face as he's always done. Highly doubt the honorable kill mechanic will be good in hunter
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Arena: Opponents will quickly learn not to play a 3/2 on turn 2 against a hunter, but in later turns I wonder if it's still worth it to play around Bloodseeker. The effect is good, but not detrimental. So, definitely draftable, but not amazing.
Constructed: Nothing to see here.
Arena > Wild > Standard
All around decent. The qualm will be that you continually have to hit things that are getting bigger and bigger to get a lot of use out of it. But even if it only makes it to 3 on the attack, that is still efficient.
I guess there's enough 2 health minions in the early game for a decent chance of triggering the honorable kill. But that isn't a one-time effect, like Spellburst, is it?
Definitely a cool weapon, and on curve it seems like something you could easily get to be a 4/2 before you start losing good honorable kill targets.
If you get the weapon early enough (and there are enough 2 Health minions in Standard (or if you feel like breaking Hunter's tradition and use your minions to, like, actually trade)) then it can snowball into an even scarier Eaglehorn Bow. It does keep you from playing Rinling's Rifle ("oh no, my weapon is growing bigger and bigger so I can't play another weapon :( i guess I'll just hit my opponent in the face with a big weapon ") A little dependent upon your opponent playing minions into it, but the fail-state is an ok weapon so it might make it into Face Hunter decks.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
The honorable kill makes it so situational - some games, it may build up, and on some other, you won't ever have a chance to scale it up - depending on your opponent's play(s)
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
No synergy.
Agreed dapper. This may be 'decent' but the existance (and most likely prevalance) of removal will force this out of the meta

Just ok, no flashy signs - play this to win. Just ok and might get worse if HK won't be a successful mechanic.
This feels a little out of sorts with the rest of the hunter cards this expansion. Is it supposed to be early control for a big beasts hunter? It has to be aimed at controlling the board, otherwise you don't have the honorable kill keyword on it.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
This weapon have an eternal potential until you want to hit your opponent face with it
Does Hunter want to be trading with the face to slowly buff up a weapon? It only takes a couple of missed swings to break it, so I'm not sure this is worth it over other options.
Welcome to the site!
Has great potential because it can scale out of control, but your face will receive quite some damage though. I can see it played in Arena at least.
Doesn't seem very good. How often does a Hunter want to trade, specially since the class lacks healing?
