Anyone for Token Druid? Only instead of trees for Christmas. It'll be raining Cats and Dogs instead of Snow.
Blizzard: You get Consecration and you get Consecration and you get Consecration. This will surely stop all the aggro decks and won't be too slow or clunky
Not gonna lie though it's a nice card, but I don't see it working out that well. Usually when you lose board as druid it's become impossible to get it back unless you do something busted like alignment. With this I see it as Consecration on a stick, because if you're behind this won't do much.
So clunky
For some bizarre reason I assumed this was obviously going to be a Warrior minion (ignoring the fact that we've already seen it) and figured "sweet, Rush Warrior gets some powerful synergy". Instead...this is a Druid minions apparently.
It's still good and a very good way to snowball the board (or rather refill it after value trading) but I'M still not entirely convinced of the Beast Token build.
Its great when it works. Basically fulfilling the role of a board clear and spammer at the same time.
Of course, that's part of the problem. There's a big likelihood it'll never work out the way you hoped. More often than not you'll summon one wyvern out because no one will play around this possibility, and then this gets removed. The only time this card is a major threat is specifically against token/aggro decks, and even then because of how honor kill works, you might take value trades that wouldn't summon a minion out.
However, if the meta is right this card will probably feature fairly often. And that says alot for a card in a class where many cards are usually deemed good in other classes but absolute rubbish in druid. This one stands right in the middle, waiting for the right time to make its mark.
So, what Top Gun refercence will be in this guy's flavour text?
This can never be good because if becomes meta then people just won't drop a two health minion onto their board, similar to how people wouldn't play a minion with certain health to prevent Defile. Your gonna have to work to set up the board if you do intend to play this, but it will be much harder than Warlock setting up a Defile.
The enemy minions doesn't have to have two health since the aura also affects other friendly minions too, which can have different attacks.
That is true. I just feel like if you are playing a Druid deck where you have a board capable of trading you would rather play Arbor Up and Solar Eclispe to win.
This is cheaper than Arbor Up though, so it could be played on the turn before to trade without losing power on the board. If Token Druid is meta, this card is likely to be good in the mirror match at least.
What I'm more worried about is that when your opponent doesn't play many minions or only plays big minions, you won't get a lot of value out of this. The stats are such that you need to summon at least one Wyvern to make it worth the mana.
That's not a big deal for druid to give +1 ou more attack to their minions to adjust what is needed. Druid also get a lot of spells that can adjust ennemy minions to start the trade loop.
Oh wow. The wyverns summoned by Mulverick would also have the aura effect. This means if your opponent has all 2 health minions, this one card clears the board.
Are Wyverns beasts? It's important because if they are, then they will also reduce the cost of Frostsaber Matriarch.
If they are following the lore and being consistent with previously summoned Wyverns - like 6 mana hunter spell, those should also have beast tag.
