Fantastic defensive Secret, improves Rinling's Rifle by a lot because now you really have to spend mana to test for a multitude of things.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This is one of the better secrets in the game. I think I'd often rather play this over Counterspell, and it costs 1 less. You also get hand knowledge when this sends the spell back which is kinda cool.
INCREDIBLE defensive secret. One of the best ones in the game i.m.o. You probably get to know what spell they tried casting as well. Worst case scenario you make your opponent pay 1 mana for a 0 cost spell or the Coin. Freezing Trap sees play in order to counter minions, so i bet Ice Trap will as well. Especially decks like Questline mage being pretty popular still. We can FINALLY make mages spend at least 1 mana on spells. lol.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Very cool card but I think this is a big fail. It's mana war and you do gain tempo over it... But you lose big in card advantage. This card basically draws your opponent a card in it's effect. Maybe with the objective spell if the tempo is that high it might work in constructed but I'm screaming avoid at all cost in Arena.
I mean seriously this is 2 mana counterspell; your opponent draws a card that costs 1 more. I'm so disappointed.

Nice thematic similarities to Freezing Trap. Hunter needed another secret that interacts with spells and this one is really great for stalling. Return to hand effects can be quite annoying, especially if used against big spell mage or OTK DH
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I really really like this. It's not a hard counter, but it does slam the pause button pretty hard for a caster
Seems like a good card, not as good as it's little brother Oh My Yogg! but still decent at stopping decks from removing your face-going minions. If a secret deck works this will go in it, else you wouldn't hate seeing it from Rinling's Rifle or Beaststalker Tavish.
Assuming that this is what we're getting, then its good. A counterspell option for 2, for a class that even small disruption is a massive advantage.
That's really it. Its not as impressive as Oh My Yogg!, but for a cost of 2, and being something that forces your opponent to maybe waste mana, it just going to see play regardless of its powerlevel.
This is so disruptive, so evil - I love it!

Similar function to Counterspell for 1 mana less but the opponent gets to keep (and potentially recast) the card.
Freezing Trap for spells. Nice. I wonder why it doesn't make them cost 2 more.
Weak because a 0 or 1 mana spell will get to play around this secret way too easily. Oh my yogg works decently against 1 mana spells with synergy
It really is trash and I feel they were worried about Mage stuff so held back making it increase only (1) when (2) would be very much more fun.

I love the implication that it will affect quest mages, but worried it will become so dominant that all spell based control decks will suffer as well.

Super disruptive and cheaper Counterspell. Sure the latter destroys the card while this tosses it back to the hand with an added tax, I think the initial casting mana being wasted still makes this worthwhile to run for any Hunter deck interested in secrets.

Another hunter secret that can potentially break 10 mana cards so basically one built to counter mage if big spells ever make meta. Beside that, it's nice disruption tool but I wouldn't justify running this without more secret oriented deck with cards revealed so it all depends on their combo. If it's ok, it will be played.
I love this card, Freezing Trap but for spells. For playing the card I like the ability to counter a spell and for this being played against me I like that you don't just lose the spell. It just gets delayed a little bit and you still get to try and work it in.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.

Sometimes delaying a big spell by one turn is all you need, and this does that job well. I don't know that you'd run it without focusing on Secrets overall, but certainly a good addition to the pool.

Good Counterspell for Hunter. Doesn't fully deny the spell, but it does waste Mana and wasting your opponent's Mana is usually really good for aggressive decks. Rinling's Rifle is a lot better now (and it was already pretty good).

I have played this new Hunter secret in Duels and my experience is quite meh. Not broken, but fair I guess.
Pretty good trap, particuarly since it's one more thing that needs to be tested whenever you play a secret. Quite disruptive!
