Hearthstone Duels is looking to introduce two new Heroes into the mix in patch 22.2.0 on January 25. Read on for everything we know so far.

New Keyword: Allied
Your hero becomes the Allied class after you select this treasure.
This new keywords is currently Duels-exclusive, so you won't see it anywhere else. It also only belongs to the two new "Neutral" heroes - Drek'Thar and Vanndar Stormpike
Drek'Thar
Drek'Thar is a new Neutral hero that has a focus on the Horde faction - Druid, Mage, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior.
Drek'Thar's Duels Hero Powers
- (2) Warmaster's Frenzy - Deal 1 damage to ALL minions. Honorable Kill: Gain +1 Attack this turn.
- (2) Harness the Elements - Draw a spell. Reduce its Cost by (1).
- (2) War Commands - Draw a Neutral minion that costs (3) or less. It costs (0) this turn.
Drek'Thar's Duels Signature Treasures
- Take the Bridge! - Neutral minions you summon this turn get +2 Attack and Rush.
- Summon the Pack - Your Neutral minions have "Honorable Kill: Summon a 2/2 Frostwolf Cub with Stealth."
- (2) Rush the Keep - Give your Neutral minions +1 Attack.
Drek'Thar's Duels Treasures
Some of the treasures feature the new Allied keyword.
- (6) Valorous Display - Discover a weapon and equip it, then destroy all minions. Allied: Warrior.
- (6) Elemental Chaos - Call upon the power of all four Elements! Allied: Shaman.
- (4) Pact of the Lich - Shuffle 5 Fel Rifts into your deck. Draw 3 cards. Allied: Warlock.
- (1) Magister Unchained - Until the end of your turn, after you cast a spell, draw a spell. Allied: Mage.
- (5) Gift of the Heart - Gain 4 empty Mana Crystals. Allied: Druid.
- (1) For the Horde! - Start of Game: Draw this. Shuffle 15 Tradeable spells into your deck that Discover a spell from the Horde.
- Spells from the Horde include Druid, Mage, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior.
- The spell, "Power of the Horde", costs 0 to play.
Vanndar Stormpike
Vanndar is a new Neutral hero that has a focus on the Alliance faction - Demon Hunter, Hunter, Demon Paladin, Priest, and Rogue.
Vanndar Stormpike's Duels Hero Powers
- (1) Promote! - Give a minion +1/+1 and Rush, Poisonous, Taunt, Windfury, Divine Shield, or Stealth.
- (2) Send in the Scout - Summon a 2/2 SI:7 Scout.
- Scout: Deathrattle: Add a random card to your hand (from your opponent's class).
- (2) Battle Tactics - Reduce the cost of Neutral minions in your hand that cost\n(4) or more by (2).
Vanndar Stormpike's Duels Signature Treasures
- Bolster Defenses - Neutral minions you summon this turn get +1/+2.
- Gather Resourses - Neutral minions have "Honorable Kill: Add a random spell from any class to your hand" this turn.
- (2) Thunderclap - If you have only Neutral minions, deal 1 damage and give -1 Attack to all enemy minions.
Vanndar Stormpike's Duels Treasures
Some of the treasures feature the new Allied keyword.
- (6) Forge in Light - Passive: Give all minions in your hand +3/+3 and Divine Shield. Allied: Paladin.
- (7) Spymaster's Gambit - Summon copies of each minion in your hand and give them Stealth. Allied Rogue.
- (3) Stalker's Supplies - Shuffle each Improved Secret into your deck. Allied: Hunter.
- (6) Rending Ambush - Summon the left and right-most minions from your hand. They attack random enemy minions. Allied: Demon Hunter.
- (4) Devout Blessings -Add a copy of each friendly Deathrattle minion that died this game to your hand. Allied: Priest.
- (1) For the Alliance! - Start of Game: Draw this. Shuffle 15 Tradeable spells into your deck that Discover a spell from the Alliance.
- Spells from the Alliance include Demon Hunter, Hunter, Demon Paladin, Priest, and Rogue.
- The spell, "Stand as One", costs 0 to play.
New Passive Treasures
These new Passives can be found during your Duels run.
- Ring of Phaseshifting - After you play a Legendary minion, add a random Legendary minion to your hand.
- Shadowcasting 101 - After you play your first minion each turn, add a 1/1 copy of it to your hand. It costs (1).
- Unstable Magic - After you cast an Arcane spell, transform a random enemy minion into a 1/1 Sheep.
- Guardian Light - After you cast a Holy spell, summon an Ancient Guardian with stats equal to its Cost.
- Flames of the Kirin Tor - After you cast your first Fire spell in a turn, add a Fireball to your hand.
- Mulch Madness - Whenever a Neutral minion dies on your turn, gain 1 Mana Crystal for that turn only.
- Draconic Dream - After you summon a Dragon, shuffle a Dream Portal into your deck that summons a Dragon when drawn.
- Ring of Refreshment - After you cast a spell, refresh your Hero Power.
- Heavy Armor - At the start of the game, set your Health to 10. You can only take 1 damage at a time.
- Sunstrider's Crown - Every third spell you cast each turn costs (1).

Just had a quick skim through these, but I am so excited!! Duels is my favourite mode and these are really interesting additions. I won't lie, I'm a little disappointed we're not getting the 10 Mercanaries that most people expected, but it's something at least!

It's the opposite to Renounce Darkness where Paladin has all shadow spells instead of holy spells... oh wait that's Priest 😜😅
I hope they are removing all the problematic (ultra-rare) existing treasures and passives to make room for this new stuff.
Also, this new keyword seems awfully confusing for those of us who can't even understand the concept of a second (and third) page of decks in our collection.
Does this mean that you can completely avoid class cards by not picking any of these special treasures?
I would like to see the new Heavy Armor Passive Treasure with Quest Priest to set yourself back up to 40.
The Allied mechanic seems alright, interested to see how this will shake up the Duels meta.
