Hearthstone's Alterac Valley mini-set, Onyxia's Lair, is releasing next week on February 15, 2022. We've got 35 new cards coming and they will all be revealed throughout the next few days.

  • We're getting new card reveals throughout the next few days.
  • We'll put countdowns on the site for each card reveal once we know more.
  • Reveals are going to last 5 days including today. Here's the schedule.
  • All 35 cards can be purchased in a single bundle for $14.99 or 2000 Gold.
  • A new bundle will also be available that lets you buy all the cards in golden for $69.99.

  • Lol, the golden bundle is so overpriced.... But netherless, I'm full of joy. Somebody even predicted Onyxia's Lair.

  • There REALLY needs to be a Leeroy Jenkins revival of some kind.  Leeroy has been a staple in the game for years, and now that we are going into HIS realm, there HAS to be some kind of reference to him... even if it's a card where the rest of party is just saying, "God damn it, Leeroy!"

    • Onyxia's Lair isn't Leeroy's area. He was Upper Blackrock Spire.

    • Do we really want him back when his entire thing, both in game and in meme is charge? We already have Mr Smite bringing the spirit of Leeroy to Standard. By the looks of it we have the 10 (probably 9 non-evil) mercs making up the raiding party, so I assume Leeroy isn't there anyway.

        I'm not saying him necessarily... But some kind of representation of it.  Like a spell or battlecry that gives all your minions an attack boost and then die at the end of turn would be hilarious.  It wouldn't be the first time that Blizzard gave a nod to the gamers of old, or even created a card that wasn't all that useful, but funny to use.

  • On the one hand I fully understand how we ended up here. On the other hand, Onyxia's lair is a long long way from Alterac Valley and the pedant inside me is pained by these cards officially being part of the AV set. I guess I'll just have to ignore the pedant and be happy to see dragons again; they always push decks in a direction I approve of.
