Around two months ago, Blizzard confirmed that they were working on some competitive events for Hearthstone Battlegrounds that they had called "Lobby Legends". Today, Blizzard fulfills that promise with an official announcement of the first official Battlegrounds Esports event of the year which will be taking place on April 2 & 3. Our recap and full details below.
- Lobby Legends takes place on April 2 & 3, 2022.
- The event has a $50,000 USD prize pool.
- If you'd like to participate, you must become one of the top 16 players on the February 2022 Battlegrounds Ladder.
- Top 16 from each region (Americas, Europe, APAC) will be seeded in an invite-only 48-person tournament held on March 14.
- The top 12 players from the qualifier will go to the Lobby Legends main event alongside 4 players from the Chinese equivalent qualifier.
- A second Lobby Legends event is tentatively scheduled for May, with the March ladder season providing qualifying.

Prepare yourselves as 16 Battlegrounds players from around the world face off for their share of the $50,000 (USD) prize pool!
To qualify for Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders, eligible players will need to reach the top of their respective regional ladders by the end of February. Sixteen of the top Ladder competitors from Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe will then earn invites to a 48-player qualifying tournament to be held offline on March 14. At the end of the Qualifier, the top 12 players will advance to the broadcast tournament, where they’ll be joined by four of the top Battlegrounds players out of China. In addition to the official tournament broadcast on April 2-3, all players competing in the Qualifier and Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders will be invited to co-stream on their channels.
The second Battlegrounds: Lobby Legends is tentatively scheduled for May, with the Ladder qualifying period concluding at the end of March. We’ll share the specific date and official name in the coming weeks!
