Well that Big Holy Spell Paladin deck is looking pretty sweet right now. Even Big Spell Mage would use this minion. Well... basically any spell heavy deck would right?

Also: Imagine the effect of Naga Giant included the spells cast by Rune of the Archmage. Doubt it would right, that'd be broken

Damn this is pretty powerful, although I like that it cannot be cheesed by just spamming cheap spells.

If you spend mana on exclusively spells the earliest this comes down for free is turn 6 (which is fair I think). Since I doubt that in this new meta you can get away with just playing spells and no minions it's probably not gonna snowball out of control. Now the real question is, what can you possibly combo this with?

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

The minion is good, but what it essentially allows is to play spells (removal, etc.) and put out a 8/8 as early as turn 6 (or less if youre druid). To do it you have to play nothing but spells until turn 5, and then whatever spell you play on turn 6 will be followed up by a 8/8 filling up the rest of your mana. Is it really as impossible as it seems? Its not like we haven't seen decks doing exactly that.

Now all we need is a payoff worth going through all that. If its true that Zola the Gorgon is coming back, that would be one of them. Brings back memories of playing giants rogue back in the day.

Very strong card. Giants have always seen some kind of play, and often were very strong. The only "giant" that didn't really see play is Jumbo Imp which wasn't really a giant. Naga Giant is i.m.o. a way better version of Arcane Giant because it's cost gets reduced by the mana spend on spells. So casting a 7 mana spell = -7 mana on Naga Giant, while with Arcane Giant it would be just -1 mana.

The only problem i see with Naga Giant is that most decks with big spells try to cheat them out for cheaper. Just look at Big spell mage with Clumsy Courier.

But regardless of that, i think this is still a very good fit for Big spell mage, and Holy spell paladin at the very least. But any other deck that uses either a few big spells, or a bunch of smaller spells might just slot Naga Giant into their deck for the swingturns it can create.

In wild lets be honest, Open the Waygate MIGHT include this, but this might be the the one case where Arcane Giant might be better, just because that deck prefers cheap small spells like Ray of Frost and stuff to complete the quest. Outside of that, maybe Libram paladin deck runs it.

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

I like it! Pretty strong and will find a place in the upcoming meta - maybe paladin or even priest!

Seems better than Arcane Giant, and if that saw play I don't see why this shouldn't.

As far as I've been able to figure, this can't come down until turn 6 at the earliest. As it stands, this is a fairly balanced card I don't think we'll see a lot of, but for my money I would bet that Druid is the class it finds a home in just because of the amount of spells that class usually runs. Buff Paladin (?) could potentially also find a spot for him, considering they might also be running The Garden's Grace.

Initial reaction is that it's a really beat up Arcane Giant.  But looking at the cost of so many spells in the current meta and it will still be a mean board presence mid-late game

So now we have a giant for mana spent on spells. A bit like Arcane Giant, except that one counted the number of individual spells casted. I'm sure this will nearly always be played for free.

Depending on the classes, this might be abusable. I think Mage, Priest and Druid are probably going to make the most effective use of this giant. Maybe Shaman too, in some capacity.

Feeling like Druid and Priest are the only ones that can feasibly use this giant, especially the former. Playing on Turn 6 at the earliest seems pretty slow for Giants to make an impact.

Quite easy to get to 0, so Druid and Mage should love it!
