Every expansion we get close to Deathrattle Rogue molesting the meta with the fury of a thousand suns....and yet...still no actual Deathrattles.
I wonder if this is good enough to get Sprint back into play. Rogue certainly needs draw, but is it that desperate?
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
ALMOST a bad Prep on a stick, paired with Azsharan Vessel, Blood in the Water, and Smokescreen, it becomes... Okay?...
Yeah, nevermind, this IS a bad Prep on a stick.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Hearthstone players: Hey Blizzard, we really hate mana cheat. It makes the game less fun and usually creates meta games where one or more nerfs are needed to bring gameplay to a more healthy level. Please don't do any more cards with ridiculous mana cheat, OK?
Blizzard: lol wut
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
And yet Prep does not allow playing 8 cost cards on turn 3-4.
This card is absolutely insane. Aside from the obvious synergy with Smokescreen, it basically allows you to play any spell for 4 mana, and even less following an earlier Shadowstep
So, right on top of my head, there's Sprint, Azsharan Vessel, Blood in the Water, and obviously Smokescreen. I can only imagine that this card was printed for rogue because they're absolutely certain that they wont be printing many expensive spells for them, and that they really, really wanted us to play smokescreen.
Good thing rogue can't access cards from other classes...oh wait. Damn
That could be a huge mana cheat .... very good!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
This naga alone could make Smokescreen actually playable. I feel it does limit design space for rogue though as it can become bonkers if more high cost rogue spells are released. Time will tell
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Agreed, although if you look at the entire history of rogue spells they have only ever had 2 that cost more than 6 mana, and one of those (Sprint) was buffed down to 6. So 7+ mana spells were basically never part of rogue's design space to begin with, and it has very little real impact in that regard. It might cement the class' inability to get any worthwhile deathrattles for a while though :(
A better Preparation as long as the cards are 4+ cost. This seems very good alongside ANY big rogue spells. In standard this card might finally give rise to Deathrattle rogue, because it makes Smokescreen playable. This will see plenty of play... As long as rogue has some big spells.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
I wonder if this will make Smokescreen worth running in a deck. I'm not seeing a lot of Rogue deathrattle minions, but 4 mana draw 5 plus a 2/2 body is probably pretty good on its own.
The body is weak, I'll give you that, but the discount it allows is quite substantial, so I don't think it is nearly as bad as you think it is - could be wron
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
This card is absolutely insane. Sure, the minion has weak stats, but playing expensive spells for free on turn 4? Sign me up!
