If you've seen the excitement around the next Battlegrounds update which is hitting next week and bringing in Naga, you'll be happy to know that Battlegrounds isn't the only game mode getting love in Hearthstone patch 23.2.
In the original tweet sent out by Blizzard on the official Twitter account, there were references to a N'Zoth Mercenaries event, improvements, and bug fixes that would all also be arriving in the patch. Unfortunately, details other than that aren't available as it looks like this was simply the wrong tweet text and the URL that was referenced just went to the Battlegrounds-only notes.
Gotta love having a copy of their tweet open before it got deleted.

One of the previous mentions of Mercenaries by the devs suggested that the next change would introduce a bunch of new characters.
That could be the Old Gods, or N'Zoth and his naga creations.
And some underwater bounties.
That's some head-up reporting, Flux! Nicely done.
Well, I was thinking of how much longer we have to stand for this meta and turns out its until next Tuesday. Nice. Most interesting would be to see how team5 deals with Drek'Thar, having sold him for an unprecedented 25 bucks. Turns out that a neutral call to arms with an insane play/draw win rate isn't exactly healthy for the game.
I wouldn't be too surprised if quest hunter gets nerfed too, just because how many non games it creates.
And perhaps more importantly, bug fixes. A major problem as of late. Among which are both sylvannas in mercs, and blue gill warrior's pics being cursed apparently. All Im seeing are black pics, and whenever they come out the game hangs for about 10 seconds. That, and the infamous nellie bug. Can't wait to see what's next.
I'm not aware of the Sylvanas bug. What is it?
I think I encountered a bug yesterday where my Long'Xin swapped places with Trigore and took a hit, but Trigore's Backlash did not trigger. Has anyone else seen this? I've been using this strategy a lot in PvP because it absolutely dominates the early game. I wish I could remember what ability it failed on, as it works with everything else.
If you scroll your merc collections for fighters, at some point your game will hang and then when its back you'll notice that slyvannas' portrait will be pitch black. I think this only happens with the normal, non golden portrait.
I notice the same for bluegill warrior too.
Also, if trigore doesn't get a cooldown nerf on backlash I'll be very surprised. This one merc dominates pvp with none but one move and unsurprisingly it doesn't attack. That's what separates it from mr smite, which has nearly the same move. Wonder when team5 will start noticing that attackers are at a huge disadvantage in mercs.
You're so right. I've been abusing Trigore so hard by using the Long'Xin swap (using the equipment so it has no cooldown). Turn 1: Long'Xin swaps Trigore into the center, Backlash, then I run in with either Diablo or Illidan to force more Trigore damage. It was going great until opponents started figuring out how to play around it. If you know Long'Xin is about to swap, target him and you'll hit Trigore instead.
Attackers are often at a big disadvantage. However, those who can ignore taunt (Valeera and Krush, for example) can still do some serious damage.
Fingers crossed for a Ny'alotha miniset. N'Zoth Fish showed up in the Sunken City cinematic and is otherwise unaccounted for, so that seems like a natural fit.
It would be really awesome if the event also included his diamond skin, similar to the leeroy event. He also has way more potential for a cool kit than leeroy, which turned out to be rather boring.
They could leak a tweet saying they'll give out every Mercenary card for free and I still couldn't care less, tbh
Agree. The game's overall quality seems to have dropped like a brick, consistently, over time. Maybe HS 2.0 won't be made with Unity anymore.
How has this anything to do with the Unity engine? Also how is your reply related to the original comment in any way?
Didn't see this happen on Twitter but on FB. I thought it got corrected because they weren't adding these in this patch with wanting Mercs content to have it's own patch hype. Well, if it does come, it'll be welcome.
I'm not betting on an Old Gods party to happen in Mercs, but fingers crossed for Neptulon in the real content drop.
Was hoping for another balance patch to be honest since they said they can't do too many patches per month. Don't feel like waiting for another 2-3 weeks
They'd probably have to do it anyway, because certain bugs like azshara and nellie breaks games. It even featured in the last masters tour. Imagine having to deal with this for the next 2 weeks.
