IGN has revealed a new Warrior Legendary card, Remornia, Living Blade! This card is a minion, and a weapon!
- When you play the minion initially, rush allows you to attack right away.
- After attacking, the weapon can immediately be swung.
- The stats of this card transfer between transformations, so each durability lost will remove health, and each damage taken as a minion will remove durability.

All good then!
Seems like a worse The Leviathan for warrior. Honestly it doesnt impress me much. Hit twice for 4, leave a 4/5 or 4/6 body at best on the board.
Could keep it as weapon to make it immune to usual removal but viper is still played a ton.
EDIT: Oh, you can attack with the minion a second time. Oops. So that's 4 damage three times. Definitely better but idk how good it will be in the end
I think Crabatoa is a better comparison since, like Remornia, that gives you 2 minion attacks plus 1 weapon swing - all at 4 attack - and leaves you with a weapon equipped too. It feels like Remornia will do a better job at being impactful on the following turn(s) too, but Crabatoa's 6/5 body is not something we can just ignore. Because of the class differences and the potential to buff Remornia it's difficult to say which is stronger, but that's a promising sign since Crabatoa is objectively great.
I really like how 10 mana cards have been made to feel strong. I think this is a fairly balanced card, but compared to 10 drops of the past Living Monument, Icehowl, Faceless Behemoth, and etc, it feels to good to see them be worth their cost.
This card is 7 mana.
My brain has been so foggy lately lmao
We've all been there!
Very dangerous with buffs. Basically every warrior will be playing this card because why not? Worst case scenario would be to remove one minion, swing once, and then this minion dies next turn. But it would already dealt 8 damage and develop a 4/x minion in the process.
Its plausible to simply hold on to the swing, and then rinse and repeat the next turn until this minion dies off naturally, since as a weapon its only real counter is viper anyway.
The only question would be whether warrior can exist as a class at all next time round. Whatever the case, this is one solid card. Pray your opponent never gets it from juggernaunt.
Edit: As highlighted by Hazemaster, you cant get it from juggernaunt because its a minion. Only gorehowl to worry about then
Does it lose Rush after 2nd summon? If not then it can attack again and back to weapon form
It probably does have rush after you swing, if we follow conventional rules, because technically the minion is 'resummoned' after you swing.
But the description does read 'return this to the battlefield' so maybe team5 have configured it so it can only attack once per turn no matter what. Only testing will provide evidence for this.
Its confirmed. The blade has rush again after you swing. Just watched the video in reddit.
That makes the card all the more consistent. One of warrior's best card so far, and it'll take a lot to dislodge this one off.
It feels crazy this was released in the same expansion that Dude Pally is being pushed. Paladins would be incentivized to not use your hero power against warrior at a certain point if they believed their opponent was holding this card
We don't know yet, since there's nothing stopping team5 from making dudes taller instead of swarming or divine shields. If the dudes get big enough technically this weapon will crash and burn into them which is still a plus.
I dont see why pally would be disincentivized to keep generating dudes even if this does come out. It will remove 3 minions at best, and a deck that swarms dudes out would probably not care too much about that.
A Paladin would be disincentivized because you can send it in to a 1/1 in its minion form then attack a bigger minion in its weapon form to save Remornia's health. A Paladin at 16 health is in serious danger against this weapon because their hero power would allow it to return to weapon form easily for a nice face hit.
Im not too sure even if that was the case. If my opponent would like to waste their attack on a token, then pretty much sure we're still okay at the end. Of all the classes paladin is the most resistant to burn tactics, so I dont expect this weapon to pressure face as much.
Besides which if this weapon is indeed s-tier as we think it would be then surely nearly every deck would be playing viper, so the weapon damage is likely too limited. There are times, particularly against paladin, you'd rather this stay a big minion on board.
But of course, we dont know the extent of how much dude pally would be pushed. Team5 have tried practically everything except making them singular but big, and looking at steward that may be the next destination.
I agree. I don't think the cards that have been revealed for that archetipe were enough strong to make it work, but creating a card like this one without Lothraxion around is another great obstacle.
You can't get it from Juggernaut, as it starts as a minion.
Do we know that for sure? The Juggernaut just says that it equips a warrior weapon. This has a card for the weapon form so it is a warrior weapon. I wonder if Hoard Pillager would bring it back if it broke as a weapon. Would Rummaging Kobold bring it back to hand as a weapon if it breaks as a weapon? Also, is it a result from Blingtron 3000?
Since no one else mentioned it you can get uncollectible weapons back from Hoard Pillager or Rummaging Kobold the way you can resurrect uncollectible minions with Resurrect.
Cards of that type that summon/cast/equip random cards can typically only generate collectible cards unless the card itself specifically says otherwise. This applies to both The Juggernaut and Blingtron which can both only give you collectible weapons. It won't be able to generate Remornia's weapon form since her collectible form is her minion form.
That makes sense. I was thinking there was some rule about collectable cards but couldn't formulate it in my head.
Also, why the downvotes on my comment? It seems to be a valid question and on topic. Is it standard practice to downvote when someone misunderstands a not specifically outlined mechanic?
