Well i like the fact that Rogue gets another Secret Support - so maybe some sort of Secret Rogue will have a comeback.
But because it is a Deathrattle it could be easier to play around it so i guess that makes it a little weaker - but could still be good depending on how many secrets and support for secret rogue we will get.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Pretty flavorful wording explaining the functionality of this card. Although the English version will probably be better. The effect is definitely unique but reminiscent of Sherazin, Corpse Flower and Waxadred where it'll keep coming back as long as the condition is met. Not too sure if Rogue can reliably have at least 1 secret untriggered each turn though. Or this just gets silenced.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I'm not a fan of this, it'll difficult to have this killed before your opponent procs the secrets, the only real good secret to work with this is Fluffy Betrayal.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Not bad. Play it on curve while a Secret is up and you just gained double stats.
I feel like the main problem will actually be keeping secrets up until turn 4 because most of them look like they are very easily triggered (which is good for tempo, but bad for Halkias)
Wouldn#t be surprised if he ends up decent but eventually gets dropped because of too much inconsistency.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Probably not good, but will still see play assuming secret rogue is good.
The problem is interactivity. At its best your opponent will trigger the secret and be unable to kill this, but that's highly unlikely. More likely is that they'll either trigger the secret before killing this, or trigger one and then kill it to ensure it can never do anything useful.
And of course, if you dont control a secret you can never play it on curve, which is another problem. In may ways this may simply be a much weaker Korrak the Bloodrager, at very least that can be played on curve regardless of what happens and require your opponent to have an answer. This card relies so much on your opponent that I simply dont think it'll be any good.
I has occurred to me that Preparation might be Halkias' best friend since, as others have pointed out, it would be optimistic to hope any of the 3 rogue secrets in Standard will stick around for a turn. Prep would let you just play them together and avoid that issue.
In Wild, we have Cheat Death to make him a lot more reliable while helping multiply him too. There is also Plagiarize which the opponent cannot trigger on their turn, so you can pretty much guarantee Halkias will stick around for the next turn when you can play another secret to help keep him going. So he's at least good for shenanigans in low-rank Wild.
I want to like this minion, and flavor-wise I really do. In actual play though, I think it will be an arbitrary minion on the board and not a kill condition and certainly not something the deck is built around.
Undoubtedly there will be some kind of wacky achievement associated with it like... resurrect this minion X times in a single game.
Seems good on paper, maybe not as consistent in reality, as most Rogue's secrets are meant to trigger on your next opponent's turn. I really like the design and already think it is bullshit to kill this minion more than once per game ..!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
This looks neat, but given the number of Rogue secrets currently revealed I'm guessing you will almost never resurrect this more than twice, and I'm not sure it won't just be easy to trigger all secrets, then kill this.
I'll be kind and give it 3 stars, but only because Secret Rogue already looks strong. I don't think this legendary adds much to the archetype, but it doesn't hurt. It looks a lot harder to trigger than other "keep coming back" minions have been in the past, and those have never been all that great. Best case is that it forces suboptimal plays, but it still gets killed permanently in the end, maybe coming back once.
Very cool card, and i like it a lot. The problem? Rogue secrets are EASY to trigger, which means your opponent can easely just trigger secrets first, and then kill Halkias. I really hope they give Halkias rush as a buff, should it be a unplayable garbage card. Because if it had rush, at least you could trade it into something, and if Halkias died it would have gone into a secret right away. Yeah Halkias really is a lot worse because it doesn't have rush.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
If you manage to set Snowfall Graveyard and Forsaken Lieutenant with Sketchy Information and a secret played you can copy Halkias like Greybough at it's moment of glory
Seems like a really fun card, at least. Not sure if Rogue secrets are good enough to make it viable, though.
