Blizzard has revealed the details of the upcoming Rewards Track for Murder at Castle Nathria (taking over next week, on August 2), and it's your usual expanded package deal - new Diamond cards, cosmetic coins, Tavern Pass perks, and more! There is also one Uncraftable Legendary card being instantly claimable that's the same for everyone, with infamous Sire Denathrius playing the role this time around; while distinguished explorer Sir Finley is set to become our newest Mercenary gift.
Remember, this also means the end of XP gains for the current set of Sunken City achievements (don't forget about our guides if you still wish to accumulate more gold before the time's up):
Quote From Blizzard It’s almost time to sink your teeth into a new Rewards Track! When the Rewards Track refreshes with the Murder at Castle Nathria launch, all players will automatically be granted any unclaimed rewards on both the free Rewards Track and the Tavern Pass track (if purchased), and a completely new Murder at Castle Nathria Rewards Track of unlockable treasure will take its place.
Reminder, Voyage to the Sunken City Achievements will stop awarding XP with the launch of Patch 24.0 on July 26, whereas the Rewards Track will swap over with the launch of Murder at Castle Nathria on August 2.
Let's see what else is in there:
Murder at Castle Nathria Tavern Pass
The Tavern Pass continues the recent trend, building upon the new cosmetic additions for Battlegrounds and Mercenaries that started appearing since the Alterac Valley version. This is a paid upgrade to the base Rewards Track.
There seems to be at least one notable difference compared to the previous Rewards Tracks - seemingly fewer skins offered, but instead another two copies of Uncraftable Golden Epic card (Insatiable Devourer) reserved for the Pass holders. At levels 20 and 25, respectively, so found very early on the path (only takes a handful of quests, some of which we can save in advance).
The catch? You may not wish to open your Castle Nathria packs ahead of time if you'd prefer to avoid finding any regular (and craftable) Epic versions of the card - duplicate protection won't be in effect, after all. Not such a great news for anyone who was looking forward towards setting up their own Fireside Gathering for a pre-release weekend.
Quote From Blizzard With the launch of Murder at Castle Nathria, a new Tavern Pass will be made available for purchase, offering an infusion of brand-new cosmetic rewards and XP boosts.Purchasing the Tavern Pass at any point during the expansion will immediately grant access to the Diamond Murloc Holmes Legendary minion, a 10% XP Boost that lasts the rest of the duration of the expansion, and all other items up to your current level on the paid track. As you progress with the Tavern Pass during the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion, you can earn additional XP Boosts, the Golden Prince Renathal Legendary minion, two Golden Insatiable Devourer Epic minions, the Prince Renathal hero skin and card back, nine additional Hearthstone hero skins, a new Battlegrounds Bartender, five murder-mystery themed Battlegrounds hero skins, three Sir Finley Mercenaries Portraits, and a new cosmetic coin.*
As a reminder, Battlegrounds Perks are not included in the Tavern Pass. With Patch 24.0, Battlegrounds base emotes will be available to all players; all other Battlegrounds Perks from the current Battlegrounds season have been extended until next Battlegrounds season (Patch 24.2) for players who have purchased Battlegrounds Perks. Stay tuned for more information about the future of Battlegrounds, coming soon.
* Golden Prince Renathal and Insatiable Devourers are uncraftable and can’t be disenchanted.

Comments
I bought the last 2 tavern passes (FAV and Sunken City) but this one I'm probably gonna pass coz the extra 2 golden epics don't make up for the reduced number of skins. Also it's a bad epic that will probably only see play in Arena, so that makes my decision a lot easier.
Seems to me Blizzard is really taking the word Skins literally. No alternate heroes, just... same character, different clothes. Starting to feel like League of Legends here. Just last expansion we got water Sylvanas. We have normal Sylvanas, fire Sylvanas, now blood Sylvanas. We got normal Tyrande, water Tyrande, ice Tyrande, fire Tyrande, now we get holy Tyrande. Its like pokemon evolution lmao.
Morgl Holmes and Prince Renathal are the only true new skins imo, and we already have several murlocs for shaman. Just wish we'd get other big characters from WoW as heroes, like the first skins. There's yet to be any worgen or goblin or pandarean skins!
Worst fo all, Still no Rafaam Skin!
he dint get a hero card like mage in DoD either
The unfortunate reality of abundance is that it gets old, fast. Back even 3 years ago a skin meant a lot because they were scarce, but now with so many flooding in it really does make them all look cheap.
But as a person who plays a load of different decks the many skins at least plays a function, even if its simply for me to keep track of all the different decks I have.
Team5 would do better to use other characters instead of the usual tyrande, svlyvanas, etc. even if they are more popular amongst the community. I would like to see different variations of characters like deathwing, celeste, or sir annoy-o too.
Last year on the reward track for better or worse (mostly worse), we got multiple portraits for all the mercenaries. It gave us a little variety at least. So for this expansion surely we will get the legendary inhabitants (not the suspects) of the mansion, right? No, well ok, then who are we getting then? No.. No... No .... not another Maiev .... and Nemsy.... and Lunara too.... and Arrana as well. BLIZAAAAAARRRRD!!!!!!
Seriously who the fuck at HQ likes these characters this much and why do we need so many versions of them?! On the plus side at least we get another version of Sylvanas. Can't get enough versions of her. Liadrin is alright as well.
Its nice of them to actually give out Sire Denathrius for free, instead of Murloc Holmes. In the past, it was always the good legendary being diamond while everyone gets stuck with the meme legendary for free.
And mercifully, the golden epic out on display is not a good one, so I dont have to torture myself crafting it for standard, like I did for School Teacher. Still, I'd have prefer they just remove it from the pack pool and give us the non-golden card by default because it truly sucks to get one of these from packs.
Sire Denathrius being free just straight-up saved me 1600 dust. Glad for that. That would've been a day-one craft.
This might be the first pass I try to hold some quests for, because getting Murlocula for free is worth. Though I still have no idea what to take out for it -- but it absolutely has to be broken. Anyway, I don't want to draw it, and 4 ranks at the start of the pass should be, at worst, several Battlegrounds games.
Feel like it's unfair to classify Mankrik and Drek'thar as meme legendaries, but yeah, it's better this way even though it makes paying for the pass less attractive. Wish Theodar was the other diamond leggy.
So last pass gave us 12 regular skins total...this one only 9?
That being despite the fact they still haven't bothered to give any of these new frames and animations or even just reuse the already existing ones...
I did not compare as closely (yet) when it comes to skins count, so taking your word for it. Personally I'd rather take another Epic card over a skin I may never end up using, but then cosmetics might have a great value to somebody else.
I actually miscounted, it's 10 skins, but it'S still less than the last pass where we got one for each class and then an extra one for Druid and Shaman.
Here it's just the 10 classes and done...
Also, can't wait to use that Kael'thas skin which is just gonna be a crappier knock off of the one they just released and who, for reasons unknown, will still use default frame and hero power because copying assets is hard apparently.
So all we get compared to old tracks is 2 extra epics on paid track?
Tell you the truth, I'm surprised there's been any change at all. So used to Blizz generally just copy-pasting these reward tiers as they were. I've added a relevant note about it for what it's worth, as it creates a certain dilemma for anyone thinking about opening their expansion packs outright.
