Looks good and can potentially decide games with spells like Deathborne, or Miracle Growth, but its so meta dependent that Im tempted to just call this a tech card.
Because as much useful it can be, this card can also whiff hard, being stuck in your hand for the longest time because your opponent played around it or there's just plain no useful spells to take advantage of.
The more I think about it the better this gets. Imagine just straight up copying Wild Growth or Nourish while developing the board.
It only gets iffy once targetted spells get into the mix, wouldn'T want to fireball your own face.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Would work well against most Secrets (except Objection) too.
Not only does the card look fun but I think this is one of my favorite named cards. Don't remember him from WoW but he sounds like a badass.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
Obviously dependent on the meta running juicy spells, but other than this Asvendon looks pretty dope
Spice Lord and self-proclaimed Meme Master.
In my experience, expecting the opponent to play a spell is a bad bet in Hearthstone; moreso in wild.
There's some list that simply won't run any.
There's some list that will cast only one or two, as a finisher, so you will never get to copy it.
Even if they cast something, warrior is not priest or rogue thief, you can't expect nearly as much synergy out of that spell than your opponent will get.
The dev' probably expects that card to enable clever battles of the mind (probably in conjunction with Disruptive Spellbreaker). But it won't. Hearthstone is not suited for that kind of card. 99% of the time, the best way to deal with Asvedon will be to ignore it.
It feels like they had something crazy in mind at first, like "counter your opponent next spell. Add a copy of it to your hand that cost (0)". But relented while testing it.
That card will be better in Standard than in Wild; and it's not a good sign.
I'm sorry but this a 2 star legendary at best. And with warrior being in the dumpster tier since Sunken City, this looks even worse. I doubt there will ever be a meta where you would want to cast the last spell your opponent played. It's like a worse Vanessa VanCleef
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I'm going to assume the targeting is random, which means this won't likely be that useful, but since the last spell would be known, it should be feasible to make the battlecry targetable if the last spell was targetable and set what can be targeted based on the rules of the spell. Unfortunately, this is likely to end up damaging one of your own minions or buffing an enemy.
Geez, for only 3 mana you can pick and chose what spell from your opponent's list you also wanted to play, given that it was the last spell they played. This seems pretty flippin' good!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Wow, this is a really cool Thief Priest legendary! This will be fun to play around with it thief priest!..... Wait what do you mean it's a warrior card?
This is a Control warrio card. The problem? Control warrior is dead in a ditch, and it's been dead since Blizz Killed it by over-nerfing it during Sunken City. So i don't see this slotting into a good deck just yet, unless the fire spell package manages to make the deck playable.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Would be neat in Thief Priest or Rogue... Maybe even Mage... But Warrior? Huh?!
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Super versatile card, although it seems a little out of place in Warrior. Still, I'm sure it'll see at least some play.
