Hand & Deck Buffs - Prince Keleseth, The Mistcaller, Lor'themar Theron, Therazane and the alike - seems to interact oddly with the format. Heck, even my Stormwind Champion did not reduced to 1/1 when he entered the battlefield.
Yea, any hand buffs seem to override the 1/1 aura. Anubisath Warbringer also pretty good
Edit: I see what you mean though with Lor'themar Theron. The double stat buff isn't correct. My Sire Denathrius is an 11/11 with just 1 battlecry effect from Lor'themar
This brawl is so fun with so many different directions you can take your deck, I'm glad Blizzard brought it back after so many years but now can we get it more often compared to other more boring TBs
Making it to turn 10 and playing Brann/Astalor from level 1 to level 3 is hilarious. Playing Rogue, so I could backstab my own minions to make room for more Astalors to come down.
Brann Bronzebeard, Coldlight Oracle, Elven Minstrel, Forensic Duster, Alexstrasza the Life-Binder, Spirit of the Shark
Add in coins gens, Shadowstep etc. You can legit just draw the entire deck and win by turn 3-4. Deny opponents with forensic duster for that extra sauce. Easy for FTP players too.
Also, I think its worth mentioning that this is the only mode that Troll Centurion will ever be good enough to see play.
That Troll is in every brawl deck x2!
Surprisingly, the Pillager Rogue performs really good:

A note about the mechanics: the minions are made 1/1 by an aura effect, so even minions that don't originate from your deck will be 1/1. Hand and board buffs can be applied to them though.
I noticed that minions in the deck are not 1/1s. For example, a "draw two 1-health minions" effect will only draw minions that are normally 1-health minions.
It seems there are also a few bugs. One of my minions got devolved into a dormant minion (Imprisoned Felmaw) and it had full stats when it woke up, then was set to 1/1 at the end of my turn. My opponent used Muck Pools to evolve a 10-cost minion and got an 8/8 giant that turned into a 1/1 after they played another card.
I won my first game with questline Paladin using many buff & draw minions.
Flobbidinous Floop also acts weird: once it has found a target, it costs 4 mana in the hand and shows 3/4 stats. I didn't pay attention to what stats it gets on the board.
I saw that too.
I had an elaborate plan to run Bwonsamdi but decided to not even try because I realized that it probably wouldn't work.
But Taelyn and Vandar probably still could.
any suggestion?
Lifesteal Demon Hunter worked.
Note that the game ends on Turn 5 or sooner against tuned or lucky decks, so you can't use any of the high-cost spells that reduce costs.
Instead, recall that every minion that draws a card costs only 1, so that makes all draw-plus-upside minions insanely good. Stiltstepper plus Brann can draw multiple ards and give you big swings, for example. Azure Drake is spell damage plus draw.
Rogue is the deck to beat here as basically every mana-cheating minion-support Rogue deck that has ever been invented works. Like, old-school Auctioneer works here.
I was going to make a counter-deck to punish the bullshit mana-cheaters by trying to abuse Mutanus, but I realized that I'd have to craft some things to really attack the opponents' hands and got bored and already won my pack so I didn't do it.
I’m having a lot of fun with a Dragon Big Spell Mage. Playing Balinda on turn 1 is ridiculous.
Can probably be improved a fair bit

Thanks. I had no idea what to play so I used your deck: 1 game - 1 win. Cheers.
This might be the best Tavern Brawl - so many cards are viable, it's awesome.
Have it return as a brawliseum - cowards.
This Brawl is meant to be fun. Brawliseum isn't about fun. :-/
Best brawl for me.
Don't forget the choose theee brawl shenanigans!
