Hearthstone's shop got plenty of new offers with the release of the Naxxramas Mini-Set - let's take a look around and see what the necropolis brought with it.
Runestones
Runestones are Hearthstone's own currency that can be used to buy everything available in the in-game shop. If you want a reminder about Runestones' pricing, check out the table below.
You can find monetary conversions of the Runestones to selected currencies below:
Runestones | USD | EUR | CAD |
500 | 4.99 | 4.99 | 6.25 |
1000 | 9.99 | 9.99 | 12.49 |
1500 | 14.99 | 14.99 | 18.99 |
2000 | 19.99 | 19.99 | 24.99 |
5000 | 49.99 | 49.99 | 62.99 |
8000 | 79.99 | 79.99 | 99.99 |
As you may have noticed, the biggest bundles aren't actually the cheapest option to obtain Runestones. We've bolded the best deals in each currency in the table above for your convenience. Note: Due to the recent price adjustments, we do not have up-to-date information on the new Runestone pricing for the regions we used to have.
Price Adjustments
Blizzard gave a nasty surprise for a variety of countries with the latest update, as they announced upcoming price adjustments (read: mostly increases) in their official forums just a day before the patch went live. For some countries, this meant that the price of Runestones was reportedly multiplied as Blizzard changed the pricing to be a direct conversion from USD to local currencies instead of adjusting them to local economies.
Quote From Vyraneer With the 25.4 update, the price of various in-game items in Hearthstone has been increased for certain countries and regions, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Georgia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. These adjustments are active on all platforms and storefronts. Any initial disparities in platform pricing will be resolved shortly.
Constructed Offers
Hero Skin Bundles
The patch brought plenty of new Constructed hero skins with it: Mages got Saraad, Death Knights another Darion and Rogues another Maiev. The latter two come with 5 Class packs and a price tag of $9.99 or 1000 Runestones, while the Saraad Bundle also includes a special card back and therefore costs $14.99 or 1500 Runestones.
Warriors got some extra love in the form of a legendary 3D skin for Varian Wrynn. In addition to the portrait, the bundle contains 5 Warrior packs and costs $24.99 or 2500 Runestones.
In case you're curious, a Legendary Hero Skin consists of:
- A fully 3D animated portrait that responds to in-game actions with special animations (such as attacking, playing minions, casting spells and emoting).
- A unique hero tray, more gilded than ever before.
- New voicelines.
Card Sets
With the arrival of the new Mini-Set, we now have two purchasable cards sets with the same pricing: Return to Naxxramas and Path of Arthas.
- Golden Set: 7000 Runestones or $69.99 (comes with a Diamond Legendary card).
- Regular Set: 2000 Gold or 1500 Runestones ($14.99).
Naxxramas' Diamond card is Thaddius, Monstrosity and the Death Knight card set comes with Diamond Lady Deathwhisper (which also remains as a standalone purchase for 3000 Gold or 2500 Runestones ($24.99)).
Tavern Pass Cosmetics
The Tavern Pass for March of the Lich King Rewards Track remains available with the usual price of 2000 Runestones or $19.99, and will get you three XP boosts as well as the cosmetics listed in the spoiler below.
In addition to 3 Chromie Mercenary Portraits and Diamond Grand Magister Rommath, you'll also get the other cosmetics listed below.
Pack Bundles
This time the pack deals were directed at Wild players, who get to choose from a shiny but expensive bundle or a regular one:
- Golden Wild Bundle (3 Golden Legendaries and 20 Golden Wild packs): $69.99 or 7000 Runestones.
- Wild Bundle (2 Legendaries and 25 Wild packs): $19.99 or 2000 Runestones.
Battlegrounds Offers
Battlegrounds was left out of the Naxxramas launch party with no new offers. Bob does have some personalized offers Just for You, ranging from old Bartenders for 500 Runestones ($4.99) to old Battlegrounds skins (100 Runestones/~$0.99 each) and old emotes (50 Runestones/~$0.50), and the Battlegrounds Pass also remains available for 1500 Runestones or $14.99.
Mercenaries Offers
Mercenaries is celebrating the final new Mercenaries added to the game mode with deals directed at the newcomers. The new Legendary Jandice Barov even got two separate deals:
- The Mercenary (or its portrait if the base card is owned), 10 Mercenaries packs, and 300 Jandice Coins for 2000 Runestones ($19.99).
- Two Jandice portraits and 10 Mercenaries packs for 2500 Runestones ($24.99).
Arfus and Mr. Bigglesworth got a Furry Friends Bundle with 400 Coins for each Mercenary for 1000 Runestones ($9.99), while a general New Merc Coin Purse, covering all six new mercenaries, was also introduced. The Purse includes 3 x 300 Coins for random new Mercenaries and comes with the same 1000 Runestone-price ($9.99) than the more specific bundle.
Additionally, there are some partially personalized offers available for different random Mercenaries of Epic/Legendary quality, their portraits, or just standalone coins - which character shows up where seems to vary per player, while the contents of each bundle tend to be fairly similar. We have seen several variations, probably influenced by an individual's spending power and collection: ranging from 1000 Runestone ($9.99) Coin bundles to 3000 Runestone ($29.99) Mega pack bundles.
How did your country fare with the stealthy price adjustments? What do you think about the new skins? Are you planning on grabbing some of the swansong deals for Mercenaries? Let us know in the comments below!

As Argentinian, I'm now certain I'll never be able to spend money on the game. They increased the value by a 600% and now you need a week of the basic salary to pay a bundle: waaaaay more that what I'm willing to pay. It's just sad
I'm extremely nervous that my country's pricing will increase soon coz the local currency value has weakened a lot compared to USD 😒
That Varian portrait is so fucking hideous. It literally looks worse than his Heroes of the Storm model, which is from six years ago and also is primarily seen from top-down at a distance.
Jesus H. Christ.
Agreed, the wrinkle line under his eyes really doesn't make him look attractive.
This is meant to be a high fantasy game, old man Varian hits too close to reality 😅
The price adjustment is unfortunate, but predictable. Far as I understand, these countries dont pay in USD but on their own currency and fixed exchange rate (kinda like steam). So obviously with USD on the up its only a matter of time before they start changing the rates a bit. A moment of thought for those who have to pay in USD while in a foreign (and mostly third world) country, a mere 20 bucks can buy you up to 8 square meals.
That animated skin for Varian is pretty bad in my opinion. And considering that state of warrior right now, is there any reason to even buy it?
And Saraad's hp doesn't conjure any special effects, not even the usual jaina fireball. No animation, just a ping to the target.
The longer I play the less I am likely to buy anything but the latest mini set or the rewards track. The main expansions are what gold is for.
I've been saving arena/gift packs a few weeks out from minisets before opening them. I also saved up a good amount of dust in the bank so I just craft what's necessary and skip the rest of the minisets. Seems to have worked fine thus far.
That mercenaries offer should have massive disclaimers about the mode directly in it; not putting that information in there is just absolutely shitty behavior. Not everyone playing HS is totally online and checking patch notes.
I was thinking that same thing. The in-game mailbox says nothing about the end of new content. The current offers say nothing.
While we're not yet at an "end of support" phase in the timeline, this is not the right time to spend real money on Mercs offers.
