Flashy New Signature Cards
Signature cards are being turned up to 11 in Festival of Legends! The Festival of Legends Signature cards will feature new Golden-style animations, vibrant full-color art, and thinner frames that show off more of the special alternate art. Additionally, the card text is now out of the way and shown through a tooltip when you hover over the card, so the art is front and center, getting the spotlight. Festival of Legends Signature cards will be obtainable through Festival of Legends Packs, Festival of Legends Golden Packs, and special means like events and the Rewards Track.*
Starting with Patch 26.0, all Signature cards (even those from March of the Lich King) will also follow normal duplicate protection and be able to be disenchanted (but not crafted—we want them to still feel extra rare and special). Look for more details on the new and improved Signature cards in the 26.0 Patch Notes.

This is actually a pretty cool event, having to choose who to support (or cheer). Would be interesting to see the stats on which of the 3 choices was picked the most. I went with JAM Kingdom coz it's kinda my go to music genre and also that Azshara skin looks better than the other 2.
I was gonna go with that one but Rocker Rokara seemed cool. Also, the Azshara "bundle" of packs you can earn did not include a Mage pack, despite her being a Mage skin. Thought that was odd, so I avoided it lol.
So the way I understand it, the class that gets a skin doesn't get a class pack. So no class packs for Mage, Druid and Warrior
Edit: Oh wait, this is incorrect, didn't actually check which class packs the other 2 options provided, they do give a druid and warrior class pack.
The entry theme songs for the legendaries in this expansion had better be FANTASTIC. My ears are ready!
Will we get a bop to rival Tirion?
The video doesn't generate any hype in me for some reason. Seems underwhelming, or maybe its something I ate while watching it.
Would be nice if certain cards in this expansion can change the hearthstone background music so at the end youre probably listening to some crazy medley of different genres. Would reinforce the theme of the expansion as well.
Finale as a keyword is basically going to succeed if only because its the easiest to trigger. The only bumps being that the higher your maximum mana the harder it is to do it. Ironically it might be the only keyword in hearthstone history that is actually harder to trigger the lower the card's mana cost.
Harmonic spells need to be really good, because otherwise it'll never be played. We've seen this in witchwood and it was crap then because the cards were fairly poor and the lack of consistency doomed whatever hope it had.
I hate the new weapons already. Surely druid will get one, and that's yet another trigger in wild for that bs twig. Looking at Record Scratcher Ive a feeling that the weapons would suffer several nerfs or ooze will once again be in every deck.
All in all, seems like we're heading towards a good start of the new hearthstone year. Let's hope the usual bugs, balancing issues, and druids dont ruin it for me this time.
Climactic Necrotic Explosion will be a great card to discover. Probably not worth running mono colours for like Sindragossa unless more support is added
And Leo Robles has now confirmed that it can't be discovered.
Slightly unfortunate, but I think it's understandable.
How annoyingly unintuitive. Forcing it to be an exception to the basic rules "cuz it strong" is a pretty stupid argument; I guess it didn't take long for the Rune system to threaten collapsing in on itself :/
Unintuitive, sure. But for balance sake I guess we can make exceptions. Especially since it means we dont nerf cards just because one particular card is causing trouble.
I wished they have just done this with Mr. Smite and not nerfed the shit out of him and all the other associated cards like nellie.
Heeey, the signature card look is exactly as i recommended a while back 😂 basically OG hearthcards locations that get full image picture and no card text. Also made note of SNAP card design. Im sure this isnt based off my feedback, but nice to see them taking the direction i wanted.
Looks like a bunch of stuff that wasn't part of the announcement article got pasted here.
So they took the Witchwood's lycanthropy mechanic, which wasn't well-appreciated there, and added it to spells.
Well, the mechanic is the very opposite of broken, so maybe they get it right this time. Doubt it, though -- it's really difficult to use well. (And Thaddeus has a variant of this as well.)
I think they should include some ways of influencing where the cycle lands, though, tbh, I'd be shocked if the effect is strong enough to invest in. Still, if they believe in the effect, they should go whole-hog and not be afraid to provide support.
It looks like only Blood Death Knight is getting goodies this expansion. I'm not sure I'm too keen on how they're splitting up Runes, but here we are.
Starlight Groove. Roame's effective replacement for Hero longevity requires more card investment but less mana and doesn't have the offensive chops that made Cariel useful in every deck. If control Paladin isn't a thing, this exceptionally-strong card will have no home.
Wild will be unpleasant due to this. Not Druid-armor level, but still.
Fan Club. And here we are, the best healing card in Priest and one of the best in the game. I was wondering what would make Heartbreaker Hedanis worth anyone's time because the mana cost to power it was stupid-high compared to the Xyrella it replaced, but this alone almost makes it playable on a wombo turn. Almost. 5 damage popping randomly is way too inconsistent, so the mana cost of that healing still needs to drop from one effect or another.
Record Scratcher. Oh look, it's the Rogue Card That Will Matter this rotation.
The One-Amalgam Band. If Charge is on the list of effects it can get, its future in jank and streamer decks is bright. Eh, no Charge. Too bad.
The options are: Divine Shield, Rush, Poisonous, Stealth, Taunt, Windfury, Lifesteal, and Reborn.
Yup, I noticed a minute after I posted this and had trouble getting back to my post to fix it. :-/ Thank you.
the priest boy band is hilarious
Definitely feel we can make an Anduin/Justin Bieber reference somewhere 😅
And the emo Demon Hunter. I really hope they go all in on the cringe.
Crossing fingers for some kind of Weapon SIlence.
Honestly, as long as they dont fuck up the balancing completely this looks like it will be an insanely fun expansion.
The theme is on point. Expansions where all the classes have their own distinct theme are usually very flavorful. This one will probably also include some really good music pieces, which I think will be very enjoyable to use in play. Additionally it also enables some very fun skin ideas for the Tavern Pass (which is good, because they've been a bit lackluster after Sunken City).
The only thing I find somewhat concerning right now is that Rogue just got a ramping mana-cheat weapon and, by god, I don't think I can deal with that crap for the fourth time in a row...
