This sounds really easy to make good use of. Hunter has plenty of small spells and you can easily get something around 5-6 mana out of this.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
But wouldn't that be at the expense of your own tempo? As the weapon itself already cost 4, to get a decent 5-6 mana worth out of, you'd need to hold on to. I believe it has potential, but I'm afraid its a tad slow for Hunter's gameplay

4-mana 4/2 weapons are pretty decent tempo. and if you need the damag early, you still have 5-mana to spend on spells on the next turn to get a 3 or 4-mana beast out.
It's flexible, that's what makes it good.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
The main problem is that this card is 4 mana.
Imagine spending 4 mana to do 4 damage, risk a viper tech, and then holding on to your weapon swing just for this to gain in value. The best part is there's no guarantee hunter even has the draw or generation to actually do this successfully.
Alternatively, we can play Harpoon Gun for 3 mana, no worries about just swinging, possibly cheat a big minion out (Hydralodon etc.) on turn 4 and have no need to either save any spells in hand for Jungle Jammer.
I know what Id pick.
I guess spell-heavy Hunter decks aren't going away any time soon.
Good weapon. 4 attack is nice damage for SMOrcing, and hunter likes casting spells. So this will certainly see play.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
If I forgot about Bunch of Bananas and Barrel of Monkeys, I'd think this was bad. But with those two cards in particular, I don't think it's out of the ordinary to get a 5 or 6 cost Beast effectively for free.
