Poor card to be honest. In fact, bafflingly poor.
A legendary spell that should theorectically be a build around, ends up in a situation far worse than 2 mana Evocation.
Here's the thing. If I want to discover a spell every turn (assuming that's what I want to do at all) I'd rather do that with mana to spend, because chances are good I'd want to plan my turn according to what I get. Instead this card will only give value only if I have 2 mana left over with nothing else better to do.
At very best you'd play this on 2, skip the hp, and feel slightly good about yourself. You know what else you can do? Just play Vast Wisdom, which will at very least net you two cards, no frills whatsoever.
Looking over the mage decks in the current meta, and making assumptions on the next, I cannot see any situation where paying 2 mana to discover a spell actually does anything useful, less so because of finale. Is it really that difficult for team5 just to give the spell a 1 mana discount? If nothing else, at least I'd feel it's objectively better than vast wisdom, which at the moment it is not.
Pretty bad for one reason alone: You always have to discover last and you never want to do that because Discover is about finding answers to your current situation not a hypothetical future turn.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I think people are being too harsh on this card. Discover last isn't usually optimal, but it's not the end of the world. There's plenty of times when you play a Discover card on curve for a future turn (For example, Identity Theft, Nerubian Vizier, and Venomous Scorpid are frequently all used this way). This requires a slow matchup for maximum value where you can afford to grind out a bit of value every turn. It's too specific to maindeck, but I think this will be a solid ETC card for midrange/control Mages and a top-tier Discover itself.

I'm the only one who stops to see if he's dead.
Hmm. Turns out he's dead.
I like this card for control. It is like the Vision of Darkness only it can grab any spell and as long as you play it last, not a problem, you get to do it again.
None of you see Big Mage potential? I can use it for unspent mana.
This could be nice. At least I don't know if I would mind an infinite supply of spells, even if I always have to wait a turn to use them.
If youre playing big spells then youre playing Barbaric Sorceress, of which this card is anti synergy.
Ditch barbara, and the win rate goes spectacularly down. I think we've seen it already in this meta plenty of times.
Seems bad considering you have to discover last, however this does refill your hand a lot alongside Grand Magister Rommath, and of course helps you recast a bunch of spells you discovered.
I feel like this will certainly see play during festival of legends, because of the small spell pool. But it will probably fall off once more sets release.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
I'm struggling to think of a good deck to put this in. It's sort of like Sister Svalna's Visions of Darkness, but you could use that to discover multiple times and still have it for next turn. This wants to be played last, and it'd be only once per turn.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Wow ... compared to the other symphony-like cards, Mage is getting the short end of the stick ... Discover-able value, sure, but far from a win-con on its own ... kinda "mhe"
