Speculation on The 23

We know that Ragnaros the Firelord and N'Zoth, the Corruptor are going to be included in the group of 23 cards that will be in standard for the upcoming event. Let's start some speculation on what the other 21 cards will be.

We know that it will have to be cards that are currently in Wild or the Hall of Fame. I suspect that it won't be just legendary cards that get added in. The announcement said it would be "some of the most popular and game-changing cards from across Hearthstone history".

I'm going to say that Sylvanas Windrunner and Dr. Boom will be cards that they bring back. I also think that Grim Patron has a chance to make an appearance.

Anyone else have thought as to what might show up? Do you think they will include Death Knights?

Well, this was going to be a fun discussion thread until the leaked cards news appeared while I was creating this post. Blah.

I want see cards like Brann Bronzebeard, Loatheb and Dirty Rat back. They can be a nice add to stardand highlander's deck.

Maybe Genn and Baku will back as well.

I want a way to make an exodia mage again. Or something to beat Priest.

I thought about this, and I don't think they actually would.

Realistically, there aren't many classes that would even benefirt from an upgraded hero power that much.

Outside of Warrior and Rogue I don't see any class making good use out of Genn or Baku (at least when compared to what they currently have)

Those cockroaches always find a way. Even warlock still has Twilight Drake, Mountain Giant and some new self-harm cards. 

Even paladin has always been a good deck in standard too. 

I'm surprised they didn't add Yogg-Saron, Hope's End though, if those leaks turn out to be true.

To be fair, Warlock would really appreciate having any other option than Zoo, and Even paladin lost most of its powerful cards with the rotation anyways.

Honestly I hope they do the same event  next expansion and bring backk Genn and Baku just so we could actually see how they would have impacted the meta if they never rotated at all.

Yeah that's a fair point. Warlock is in dire need of a new archetype.

It's just that I still have PTSD from Genn and Baku in both standard and wild which is why I don't ever want to see them in standard again.
