Would this be of interest?

I'm contemplating writing an in-depth guide for the deck I've been picking up Legend with in Wild for the past few seasons (Mecha'thun Warlock). The decklist wouldn't be anything particularly new - the point would just be to give a full explanation of the mechanics involved and the strategies required of the main matchups in the Wild metagame. It would, however, be extensive - meaning I don't really want to bother if nobody will read or care!

So - would anyone be interested in seeing a full deck guide of this nature?

    Short answer: yes.

    Long answer: the guide is the main reason we should read lists. Without the guide we are mindless netdecking bot. With the guide we are intelligent people looking for ideas. And with the guide we are more able to modify the list as we can and as we wish.

    Last but not least, I usually write long guides for my lists; I don't know if people enjoy them (almost every deck I have ever written about are without comments), but I did enjoy writing them.

     

    Oh, and remember to add in the end a section for teches and swaps. Expecially budget swaps.

    I am not sure Wild Mecha'thun Warlock needs a guide, at this point in the game, since it is a kinda old deck, and everyone in Wild should know how it should be played by now.

    Surely an extensive guide is always insightful, but i wouldn't bet it'd be interesting to the average OOC user.

    Another story would be an extensive guide to sn1p-sn4p Warlock.

    I may be wrong ofc.

    It's rare that I see a decklist that needs a guide. It's usually pretty clear from the list what the intent is and how to play it.

    Btw, you could actually turn the deck guide into a climbing and meta guide.

    It would obviously start from the Mechathun perspective, but a focus on matchups and how to counter opponents would definitely be interesting.

    For me personally, I think the guide for a deck is almost as, if not more important than the actual deck itself. If you build a deck people have seen before with a very long, in-depth guide, people will like it.

    I personaly do not play wild but a decent or in-depth guide is always welcome and could only work in your favour regarding deck upvotes :)

    While it's not a hard deck, I often see M'Thun Warlock players doing the same mistakes against my Reno decks - mainly being too impatient trying to combo asap instead of maximizing their chances against Dirty Rat.

    Often the game comes down to Mecha'Thun cycling through their decks while the Reno Deck does a whole bunch of nothing and at some point rolls the dice with Brann + Rat. And many times M'Thun wastes their cheap minions to cycle faster, instead of managing their hand size by dropping cheap spells and refill it with Sense Demons created Worthless Imps. Also a discounted The Soularium may throw bad Reno players off, because you combo a bit earlier.

    If you have time and taste for it, i say go and make a great guide! Even just putting the words down give you something back already, it's like going through your replay, you write down how a deck should be played and you might realize you sometimes miss a step here and there and this could remind you to do it corectly :)
