Anyone else playing with this card?
Seems that it's persistent between runs and heroes. I now start every game with a 12/12 charger with taunt.

I only ever got one, which I met again in the next run with the same hero. I wondered about this card, for I never got a second one. Can you elaborate, whether several Friends fuse, or if you get several of the same or declining strength?
If you play one it pulls the rest from you deck and hand and fuses them into one.
BTW I used Duplitransmorgifyre to get more copies.
If you use Duplitransmorgifyre on it, it will show up in future runs and other heros as well. I believe it is either a bug or a hidden Easter egg
I haven't gotten the option to pick Duplitransmorgifyre, but I did pick BFF once and it ended up in other hero's decks as well. But as a 1/1, so not busted yet.
The flavor text does emphasize the "forever" part, so I think it's intentional.
That's what Best Friend Forever. They stay in your deck every run, they keep any enchantment you gave them every run. If you duplicate them, the maximum of 20 BFFs will be the cap of that minion in your deck next run.
Duplitransmorgifyre is in Hagatha's deck, so play Shaman. Use it on BFF, when you win choose more minions in your loot and keep repeating. You will be able to carry 20 BFFs between runs of any hero (or villian).
I was able to get Glinda and the treasure that reduced my minion cost by 1, making my best friend an (extremely slow) OTK. One of the games where I got to play the combo featured the (most fun treasure ever!) Wondrous Wonderball popping up and turning my already 10/10 BFF into a random legendary, forcing me to play the damn thing 40 MORE times out of hand for the OTK.

That's pretty interesting. Seems like an intentional Easter Egg, given the all caps "FOREVER" in the card text.

I think they put the card in there to promote multiple runs and give that sense of overkill... the card is certainly broken, but isn't that what holiday dungeon runs are about?

It's easily busted. It sticks with you for all heroes in all future runs.
If you get it as an option, take it and go for a run with priest. You get the mirror deck option and you can easily add more dogos to your deck.
They cap out at 20, I imagine it is to give you 30 cards at the start.
I managed a time of 10:20 full clear
Absolutely overpowered. Not capped as far as I can see. With banana split and Spells cost (1) less. Round 6 turn 2 I had THREE 33/33 charge taunt minions. Completed run with a 101/101 BFF.
Speed run complete.
Just beat an entire run in 12 minutes starting with 17 of them with priest. Ended up getting the mirror bucket a few times and the “your spells cost health” passive. By the last few bosses I easily had 2x 20/20 chargers on the first turn X
