sidequest for Unseal the Vault but the quest is meme so...
It seems... ok at best? Maybe a quest hunter build could use this?
I honestly find the sidequests kind of confusing and excessive.

I'm really not seeing DoD's Hunter ..
Hope I will be happily surprised
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Seems like it could be a fun card, maybe get it early'ish to help establish board control.
All you need is a Desert Spear and this is a 1 mana 4/4 Rush. It also works with Unleash the Beast. Considering those are both great cards, I think this is an easy include.
A man is lying on the street, some punks chopped off his head
I'm the only one who stops to see if he's dead.
Hmm. Turns out he's dead.
It could be good for Quest, with the help of some springpaws and the spear... I don't se any other use for it other than that...
I think, it s for control hunt (singleton) support. Some free 4-4 rush for def yourself vs aggro and working very well with Zul Jin you will get 2 5-5 and 4-4 with rush.
It looks mediocre, BUT ! It is 1 mana 4/4 rush. What good rushes can we put in Hunter tho? Zilliax, Vicious Scalehide, Unleash the Beast, lynxes... They all look reasonably powerful and you were running em anyway. So it is quite good, I would say.
This deck is cool. Play it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Play Swarm of Locusts to instantly proc the Sidequest, feel sad when the 4/4 doesn't appear.
This seems like a "decent at all, master of none" kind of card. It can definitely fit into most Hunter archetypes at the moment, but hard to see this taking up deck space when compared to other cards better suited for various rolls. I mean, aside from POSSIBLY leaving a body if you can rush the gryphon into a smaller minion, it's not really that much better than Wing Blast which is always played at 1 mana as well.
Seems good for queat hunter but nothing exciting.
I think this card is too weak and won't see play. They pay-off isn't good enough on its own, and even in dedicated Quest decks it's a bit lackluster imo.
really easy quest to fulfill if you run those rush minions run this, why not? I mean 1 mana 4/4 rush? that's quite good isn't it? Springpaw already fulfills 2/3 of it alone.
A 1 mana 4/4 rush is obviously great, and there's no shortage of good ways to summon rush minions in Hunter (e.g. Springpaw, Unleash the Beast). This accelerating Quest Hunter while helping with board control might make that deck strong enough to see competitive play.
The fact that Springpaw practically completes the quest all on its own makes me think that Clear the Way will be a pretty good card.
A 4/4 with rush is a pretty solid minion and it can help if your behind, and hunter already has plenty of playable rush minions. This quest will by no means be a meta breaker, but a pretty solid pick for highlander and/or midrange hunters.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
These quests seem ok but mid game seem slow for a top deck draw
I don't thin this card will be playable. You have to draw this before you play your rush minions, play it, play minions and get a 4/4 ? Only good if you can pull it off in early turns.
Question, if you played 3 unleash the beasts throughout the game (and completed this quest meanwhile) when you play Zul'jin, if the quest is played by it first, can the unleashes complete it? If so, spell hunter can still come to be viable this expansion.
Yes that should work and would be a nice high-roll
This is super easy to complete but also not that rewarding. Even if you're playing Unleash the Vaults do you want a conditional spell that could be an awful topdeck? I also wonder how this works alongside Swarm of Locusts, because the current idea is that it procs it and you get nothing which is terrible, like completeing a quest with a full hand and not getting your reward.
To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.
I don't think this works with quest, I think this is something you put in with Desert Spear and Unleash the Beast to make those good cards even better.
A bit easy to complete, but the effect isn't THAT good, I don't think this will see much play ..
I'm sorry for my bad english :)
I like it. A tempo-ish style of hunter deck will rise?
Never netdeck, craft Whizbang instead!
very interesting, although not sure how sidequest mechanic will be
Springpaw will be enough... not a bad card. Not great either.
-=alfi=-
As I've noted on the other sidequest pages, an issue with evaluating these cards is that they're not something we've seen before. The question that we don't have the answer to is: will a card (that you draw, unlike a normal quest) with a payoff requiring a turn or more of a specific line of play be worth it? After all, one of the best ways to evaluate a card is to ask what it can do to the board right away, without any synergies, Arena-style, and... this does nothing. Guessing at its effectiveness is unintuitive.
That said, this reward seems easily obtainable for Hunter. The questions will simply be whether it's not valuable enough to be among the 30 best cards for a deck and whether sidequests are, well, worth it!
Better call Thrall!
you guys are really underestimating how good this is in Quest Hunter
the deck already generates plenty of rush minions (Springpaw, Henchclan Hogsteed, Zilliax, Locusts and the Halazzi spawns) so you can probably activate this the turn you play it.
What's even better is the fact that it (alongside Desert Spear) is another way to generate a free minion to use on the same turn as Cult MAster, which is one of the most important cards in the deck (not to mention additional Sea Giant synergy)
I'M going to run this as a 1-of in my Quest Hunter (probably replacing Knife Juggler) and if it performs well enough I'll double up
I've played Quest Hunter almost exclusively for the last weeks and I have to say that this would have come in handy in a multitude of situations. A free 4/4 is no joke, especially in a deck that basically just needs to stall the early game until they can burst or overwhelm you.
Also, if it works like normal quests, this should work fine withSwarm of Locusts. the quest will complete on the third locust and summon the Gryphon inbetween, so you don't accidentally waste it.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Not really a fan of it, might see some play but I kind of doubt it really. Least the class does have some decent rush cards to use for this
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Hunter has a good amount of rush minions to finish the quest easily. However, sidequests don't start in your hand which means this card can become situational.Removal is always good though and a 4/4 removal for 1 mana is quite good.
Well it's over
Though for a hunter, all sidequests play nicely with Zul'jin, since he'll re-cast the quests you've finished, which is nice.
I'm assuming that if Zul'jin recasts spells like Unleash the Beast it counts towards completing the quest? If it does, that's a mixed blessing, since Zul'jin is pretty likely to fill the board with minions, and the quest could finish without summoning anything if the board is full. OTOH, since Zul'jin casts in random order, he might restart the quest late in his cast sequence. If you throw ZJ down and end with a full board and a recast sidequest that's 1/3 or 2/3 filled, that's very nice.
Beast Rush synergy deck
Now for a 5-mana Beast Rush
Springpaw + Unleash the Beast makes for. Strong turn 6...assuming you draw the quest. The hard part is justifying putting this side quest in your deck.
Assuming this goes into a Aggro-tempo style deck, I sure as hell wouldn’t want to top deck this card as I’m running out of steam. With Master’s Call rotating in April, I’m not sure about the impact of this card in future sets. 2 stars for now
The quest isn't hard to complete as said before but the question is will this card be good enough to include it in your deck? Right now i feel like it's not.
If only this would work with Swarm of Locusts. Still pretty good with Springpaw, Unleash the Beast and Desert Spear.
No the best card but fits hunter in general.
Interesting one. Hunters already include rush minions in their meta decks, so the only question is not "if this card is good or bad", but rather "if I have room to put it in my deck". I think - yes, but we will have to wait and see.

EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
it might work, I am actually quite sure you summon 6 1/1s and a 4/4 with this card(the quest procs mid swarm just like unleash the vault quest)
It should work that way at least.. if so it's a natural fit into quest hunter.
Is it only me that thinks that this card is weak? sidequests are weak in general and unplayable/barely playable :/
Comparing it to Underbelly Fence, i think this is not impactful enough to be worth running. You either wait for the reward too long (while having one card less in the early game), or you get it fast late when it's not that important. Best case, turn 3 reward, which is good but not game-breaking, and will be rare. Late 1 mana 4/4 rush, great, but is it worth the occasional early game choke when you don't have the rushers? I don't think so. Additionally, top-decking this could also be a problem.
interesting card, 1 mana 4/4 rush seems good if you summon rush minions anyways. the delay might not be worth it; I'm curious how this card turn out
I thought that there is only 1 sidequest cards for Good guys. It seems there will be more than I thought like Twinspells.
I liked this one more. It is not just Desert Spear thing, Like I said under mage's sidequest, it is also good for mid-late game because we all have leftover mana on that spot. 4/4 beast with a rush isn't so bad even in late game for your leftover mana. With so much rush minions in hunter it is also not so hard to activate it.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
that's probably not how it's going to work.
Quests have always completed in between summoning animation.
Hunter Quest for instance, will complete in the middle of Swarm of Locusts and give you the hero power...after that the spell resumes. I assume this will work the same way and the Gryphon will be summoned inbetween locusts (esentially giving you a +3/+3 on one of the Locusts)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Quest is literally a competitive deck that can go toe to toe with Quest Shaman. It's only held back by bad matchups like Combo Priest or Control Warrior
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This card rewards the player for doing something that he already wanted to do, very strong, especially on a class like hunter that generate many rush minions
This card is just so... boring I guess? I´m not impressed by the reward and it could potentially be somewhat impactful in the early game, but for that you need to have the sidequest and those small 1/1 rushers (can´t remember the name right now) in hand. 4/4 rush later than turn 6 is just not good enough to make a difference.
Decent value for one mana. Seems too slow to help Unseal the Vault much, but might be good with Zul’jin. Don’t put this in a deck with Swarm of Locusts.
Decent addition to Quest Hunter, but it doesn't seem to strong otherwise though
This seems MUCH better than the other side quest. Great midrange card, rewards you for doing what you want to do anyway.
Maybe early in the expansion might see play but dont think will see play ever again. Top decking quest in middle of game would suck
Rush Hunter could be a lot of fun
Seems a bit slow and meaningless..giving a 4/4 after completion doesn't seem so rewarding..compared to other smorc cards that has already been revealed for hunter, this one seems to be a filler to not make all of the hunter releases a smorc card..
I don't think I'll be Rushing to play this card.
Technically, a solid card, but I don't see it replacing any cards in current Hunter decks.
I think that you do end up getting the 4/4 gryphon. When you use Call in the Finishers, the quest Unite the Murlocs will interupt the summoning to update your quest progress. Same for when you use Plot Twist for Supreme Archaeology, the quest can trigger and change your hero power in the middle of the Plot Twist.
So the way I see it is that after you use Swarm of Locusts on an empty board:
you get 3 locusts, you get your 4/4 gryphon from the sidequest, you get 3 more locusts and then you end up losing the last locust (if your quest had no progression).
More dragons? Yes please!
There are enough good hunter rush cards for this to take up a deck slot. I'm sure it sees play in some form. Nothing amazing, but not that shabby either.
too slow, and no so good
Will all those Lynxs this is fairly easy to complete early, or whenever you want to, in the right deck. Potential for a strong T6 if you time it with Unleash the Beast.
i think [Hearthstone Card (Hunting Mastiff) Not Found] will see some plays with this one
Ok at it's best. I don't think this will see a lot of play even though it is quick enough to complete.
I think its a solid card gives extra value and can really trigger at any time and with zuljin you might get a full board from this and a few of that other rush spell
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
Very solid card, works very good in Hunter right now, they love to play some kind of Rush minions and has some synergies with Zul'jin
it's good, Springpaws and spear, its a 4/4 with rush for 1-mana soo.....its ok i guess
Obviously a powerful reward, huge tempo swing whilst likely trading off any enemy minions.
Only issue I see is whether there are enough good rush minions for Hunter to make this side quest reliable enough to warrant a deck slot.
This one is not that good as the other sidequest.
Quite good, but not so good as other sidequests. I believe that this may not deserve a deck slot and will not be played.
Don't know if this is worth a slot in a deck... It's not even this good when casted by Zul'jin...
it's okay, paladin sidequest looks more interesting but this one is at least playable
Yeah, I think this is the best place for it.
In the early game can be a good card (if can be completed fast enough), but this is the tipical card that you don't want draw in late game.
Hunter can complete the quest easly, but this isn't the best card of the set for sure.
If only this was for Charge keyworded minions, my little face hunter heart would positively sing.
unsure if it stated in your hand i think its good but to play 3 rush minions later in the game might make this a dead draw so i think its bad.
Its at least "good" , but i dont see it being played in constructed.
Summoning three rush minions is easy for both highlander and midrange Hunter. This card will definitely included in both decks. The synergy with Zul'jin is also interesting, especially if the Wyverns are summoned after the side quest.
Interesting card, and I originally thought it could fit well with the current hunter quest, but since it is a side quest, this won't happen. There are good rush minions for hunter in fast decks, so this card can fit in there.
I don't actually expect this to see much play. Delayed 4/4 rush
1 mana for a 4/4 rush is great payoff, though it might be too slow to complete in most games.
This played alongside Unseal the Vault is rather scary to me. You already play a few Rush minions in Unseal the Vault or summon Locusts with Rush from Desert Spear and Swarm of Locusts. You can complete this sidequest, get another medium-sized Rush minion and tick up Unseal the Vault that much quicker.
Jaina is best waifu. Always.
Definitely one of the better quest. Mage and hunter sidequest is the only reason I'm warming up to the idea of these. This however could see some potential problems in the late game and end up pretty useless (like some of the other sq tbh), making me unsure about running this.
Just a very strong, well designed Card.
First, Hunter has a lot of ways to summon Rush-Minions, so activating this is extremely easy. And Second, summoning Rush-Minions is in no way punishing and actually helps you to control the Board.

Though for a hunter, all sidequests play nicely with Zul'jin, since he'll re-cast the quests you've finished, which is nice.
I'm assuming that if Zul'jin recasts spells like Unleash the Beast it counts towards completing the quest? A support card for Quest Hunter with a very good reward. I think Quest Hunter will be a pretty good deck with the recent cards from this expansion
It's limiting that it needs multiple cards to complete. Maybe it will be played, the reward isn't bad. If completed in the same turn it's played, it's great tempo. Diving Gryphon helps it a lot.
Put your faith in the Light!
There are some cards in hunter that can complete this alone, but overall seems a bit weird. Don't know, if Midrange (Quest?) Hunter somehow returns, this could be a good card.
Pretty easy to trigger, good reward - definitively will see play. Quest hunter approves.
Fun and interactive game.
Pretty good reward for a sidequest, but you have to put a decent number of rush minions in your deck in order to include it.
I've been impressed by this card in wild. The weakness of midrange Hunter had traditionaly been coming back after losing the board. Not anymore.
I run 2x spring paw, 2x diving gryphon, 2x desert spear and 2x faceless corrupter as my rush cards, along with 2x dire frenzy. Seems to be enough to reliably complete the Quest.
