I am curious how will discover work this time? I wonna know what is the chance to get another Malygos from this card? in other words how often do u get class cards and how often neutral cards from discovery cards
Statwise it looks terrible and at cost of 4 mana it's hard to properly utilize that spell power. Only upside is fact that it's a dragon that discovers another dragon, which can be enough for this card to find its way into dragon decks. (Also do you remember Evolved Kobold? We've come a long way since then.)
Paladin explorer was revealed and confirms that mage got the short end of the stick with explorer dragons. Why couldn’t this be 3 mana? Could reduce spell damage to +1 if that is the issue, but at least it would make this playable.
Just am okay dragon discover card with some spell damage bonus that can sometimes matter. In wild, the discover dragon isn't enough value to justify being put into highlander wild mage decks in addition to now its less likely to discover itself
It seems a generally good card, that is just overall effective enough to see play at least in Highlander mage. Of course it’s good in a dragon mage and of course it’s bad in tempo mage.
I dont like the cost, but it might be tested on the place of cosmic anomaly, just because this one loses 2 attack for the chance of discovering a dragon, which is a powerful battlecry.
Dont really like this one. No use for the spell power in a highlander deck, tempo mage hasnt been good in a while. The other dragon explorers seem better
Discovering a card it's always good. Maybe the stats are lacking but with the +2 spell damage it acts like a taunt. You don't want Mage with +2 plus damage.

Th real question is, is this or Bronze Explorer the cutest of the explorers?
Worst Explorer Dragon

Talk about Power creep... :D
Good card to slot into highlander dragon mage deck since they need a dragon anyway. This can help to get more values
I mean it is a bunch of value, but I don't think it is all that powerful by itself.
Seems too slow to me. Understated and will seldomly give you spell damage value
the worst stats of all classes so far

A bit too overpriced, maybe if cost and mana damage were -1 both, this could have been a thing.
Obligatory cute card of the expansion.

4 mana is a lot, but the +2 spell power is nice and he generate value. Probably it's just mediocre.

The cuteness factor is real.
I feel like this could maybe make a highlander list, but beyond that I don't know that the lack of stats is made up for by the spell damage.
