Ram wrangler but for dragons. Would it be good?

So I've been thinking about this a lot lately mostly because of cards being released in descent of dragons being pretty reminiscent of other, older cards. And ram wrangler was always one of my favorites to play. So I just thought I'd put this out there. I'm not talking the same stats as ram wrangler since a random dragon is worth way more than a random beast but still. Would it be good or would it be a meme card like ram wrangler was? Wyt? I know they made a card similar to ram wrangler in Barrens Stablehand but let's be real here you forgot that card even existed didnt you.

Living like that.
It would have to be something along the lines of Barrens Stablehand, since most of the Dragons you can get have pretty high stats.

Btw, did you format your post with the indent yourself or did that happen automatically?:o

No, with many low mana cost dragons being added this expansion the card would have too much variance, there is one such effect this expansion with ysera but it has a high number of summons (7) so at least one of them should feel good on average.
Beasts probably have more variance than dragons do: all but a handful of dragons are beefy, whereas beasts are all over the place.
Not that I'm a fan of this sort of design, personally I don't like Ram Wrangler or Barrens stablehand because they're such highroll cards, but at least with dragons you'd have a more reliably high-statted outcome to balance the card around.
alright, I have applied all the filters needed and this is the list:
https://outof.cards/hearthstone/cards/?collectible=true&card_set=31&card_set=32&card_set=34&card_set=35&card_set=45&card_set=47&card_set=3&card_set=4&race=24
those are all the known dragons in standard as of today (26.11) there are a total of 25 dragons
what is a random dragon?
you are probably looking at a a big minion but I wouldn't run a card that generates just one for 7+ mana since it can generate a 3/2 or a 2/2 or a 2/3..
I count 33 dragons, and if I didn't miscalculate the average dragon has 13.75 stats, EG roughly 7/7 on average. That said, the mode and median values are higher; there's really only a handful of low-tier dragons pulling down the average. And that's not to mention additional effects like Ysera's dreams or Kalecgos' free spells.
To be perfectly clear I am completely talking about Ram Wrangler effect here. Not Barrens Stablehand effect. Whereas If you already control a dragon it would summon a dragon. Yes the variance of a random dragon is of higher value than a random beast. But it is significantly harder to play this in conjunction to another dragon like you could with normal ram wrangler. Before with ram wrangler you could play Tundra Rhino ram wrangler and get an easy combo with that and even if you didnt get king krush or something huge it would still be good enough with charge to hit face or trade. Dragons dont have cards like tundra rhino like that that I can think of atm.

Why not use the "if you're holding a dragon" mechanic? Seems the most appropriate for a card that summons dragons. Obviously easier to pull off than having a dragon in play, but IMO that makes it easier to balance.
