Scion of Ruin is having its mana cost increased to 4, from 3, in a patch later this week.
How do you feel about this change?
Once these changes are live, players will be able to disenchant the adjusted cards for their full Arcane Dust value for two weeks.

Fair, could even be 5 let's face it 9/6 in stats is disgusting on turn 3/4
Have you ever played a fully buffed Scion of Ruin on turn 3/4 tho? I did it once, and I climbed like 4 ranks with it.

IMO the main thing this does is eliminate the bullshit swing turn from Galakrond into Scion. Which is great. That swing turn is fucking bullshit.
It also Reduces the turns where you play 3 copies of Scion or 2 copies of scion and copy them twice. Those have never felt as bad. But I suppose it doesn't hurt.
Was that Nerf really that needed? Genuine Question.
I only encountered a handfull of Gala-Warriors (mostly in Wild), but that Card was never a problem, not even buffed up.

This card was too good.. and it's still good but now copying it and playing it multiple times is much hard to do and if you are greedy and playing Dragon Breeder you are punished more for waiting..
and probably Barista Lynchen is out of the picture..
Spirit of the Rhino is still great with it.
This was a ridiculous card. 3 mana for 9/6 in rush stats was too hardcore. Raising the mana cost even by the 1 makes this a lot less scary. Even if someone was able to bust out Barista Lynchen and get 3 copies of it, that would be turn 8 at the earliest.
Well deserved nerf. Man, I wish they had designed Galakrond around fair cards at the outset, because if you take away these unfun, busted cards I doubt those decks will be able to stand on their own. What a shame /s.

Card is still very good IMO.
3/2 x 3 with Rush on 4 is still very strong.
Ritual Chopper to Awaken! to Scion of Ruin is still a strong tempo play.
Didn’t hurt that much IMO. Hardly played this one on turn 3. so this big point here as said before is the combo with other cards in the same turn.

It's a good change, that won't even kill its main combos. You can still play it with Dragon Breeder and Barista Lynchen, the only thing you can't do anymore is play the buffed-up version after playing a fully invoked Galakrond, which I think is a great change because getting an Arcanite Reaper and three 7/6's with rush in one turn was way too busted.
Gala-War in Wild?! That's like the fringe of a fraction of a marginal sub-group within a minority that plays it there, unlike Standard, where it is a strong Tier 1 option. The Nerf is not only fair but also well deserved ; can't believe they printed that without seeing how crazy OP it is. I would still play it at 5 mana! 3 was just too greedy
