Really wish they went back to the original system of deckbuilding for these adventures with special heroes etc. Sure, we're getting new cards for the adventure this time, which is nice, but the content itself seems, honestly, like a total hackjob. You get a premade experience with specific hero against specific boss, generally just breezing through on a wave of your deck's overpoweredness which you had nothing to do with, and then when heroic comes around, you just grab your best deck or some sort of OTK and kill the boss in one or two goes. No replay value, no fun deckbuilding shenanigans, no amazing new synergies, no treasures, just grab your OP deck of choice and kill everything as if it were ladder. Feels really lackluster, cheap and not worth the asking price compared to adventures, at least in terms of the gameplay you get out of it.
Boompistol Bully does NOT increase mana cost of cards that have been reduced to 0 mana. Just lost to a 0 mana Crazed Netherwing after double bully effect from reduced cost Shudderwock with doubled battlecry. It should have been 15 mana...

Check this video at 2:06. It has the same interaction.
"It costs 0" does not has the same meaning as "Reduce its cost to 0". One fixes the cost to 0, thus cannot be changed again; while other just reduces it and can be changed.
Ah, I see. He got the Crazed Netherwing from Tome of Origination. This makes sense now, thanks for clarification. Feeling like a dummy playing this game since beta and having forgotten about this interaction.
Hearthstone, more like Grammarstone. It's very easy to miss, especially in the heat of a match.
Boompistol Bully hype reminds me a little of Rebuke. While I have no doubt its very strong, unlike Loatheb or Rebuke it doesn't necessarily stop board clears from happening, and at best delays your opponent's win condition. Not so sure if that's enough honestly
At the moment, it only hits rogue hard, but does nothing against embiggen druid or token druid.
The simple fact that Boompistol Bully shuts down all Lacky nonsense for a turn is enough for me to place this card in every deck of mine. All other interactions are just icing on the cake.
This week(3) was a bit cheap, 2 of the boss fights are identical on normal.
Looking forward to mage hero next week!!
Okay, this is just my guesswork, and could be proven totally wrong, but I think Boompistol Bully is going to be absolutely insane. It locks out HALF of the cards of the most popular Highlander Galakrond Rogue deck (according to HSReplay). And the remaining cards are mostly just low-cost spells like Praise Galakrond! and Shadowstep.
The effect is proven to be really strong by Loatheb, still played in Wild to protect a large board. But the difference between these two cards is that this locks out tempo and value options for the opponent. So dropping it on curve can put you greatly ahead in the tempo race. Not to mention this is a 5/5 as well, no drawbacks in stats.
Another attribute that may not appear on first glance is that this is one of the few (or only) cards that are techs AGAINST THEMSELVES. If both decks in a game run it, the first one to drop it wins more. This will bring many swingy and chaotic games. Even stronger with bounce effects like Shadowstep. This may be the strongest weapon of Rogue and against Rogue. A very interesting paradox and I can't wait to see how it will actually work out! (Even if I turn out to be totally wrong.)
It doesn't stop board clears or wide area buffs (Savage Roar, Bloodlust, etc.) so you can't just play this and expect to either win or delay your opponent's win next turn. It can stop a Leeroy Jenkins and that's about it
In simple terms, its not as powerful as Loatheb, not even close. It delays win conditions and blocks tempo (conditionally). Its really good against highlander decks (delaying both Zephrys the Great and Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, and Dinotamer Brann, all very very good cards), and against some rogue and shaman decks. Aside from that, its really not doing much else, but that it counters highlander decks may warrant a slot somewhere.
On the other hand, Rogue is the only Galakrond deck left that's popular and Embiggen Druid barely case about battlecries (woohoo, you delayed the Big Ol' Whelp, what a play)
In Wild, Boompistol Bully + Loatheb
Boompistol is the mvp of this chapter for me
This looks to be strongest chapter.
Pulled that Rotnest Drake out of a "discover a dragon" effect today. It felt dirty! I briefly imagined getting to shockingly smash a taunt to win, but my opponent didn't play one and I drew Leeroy for lethal anyway.
Deadly Shot on a stick. You pay 2 extra mana for a 6/5 dragon which also activates other dragon synergies. Seems so strong.
Actually it is more like a 6/5 dragon for 5 with optional Deadly shot. Still good. Passes the vanilla test
That's how I looked at it. It's a cheaper Highmane that can hard remove a random enemy.
dragon highlander hunter says hello
Boompistol Bully could be a big part of the meta game. Delaying some big battlecry cards by one or two turns, like Galakrond, Kronx, Heistbaron Tog, Dragonqueen Alex, etc. I like it
Oh, you think you're safe from my board because you think you'll just get a board clear off of zephyrs? Bam! Good luck getting a board clear from your 7-mana Zephrys!
