A new bundle has appeared in the Hearthstone shop - The Wild Bundle!
- The bundle costs $15 USD.
- You can only buy the bundle if you have reached at least Rank 25.
- You get 24 card packs, 3 packs each of the current Wild-only expansions.
- Card packs come from Classic, Goblins vs Gnomes, The Grand Tournament, Whispers of the Old Gods, Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, Journey to Un'Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, and Kobolds & Catacombs.
Are you planning on picking up the Wild bundle? Do you think this is bundle is good value?

What am I really likely to get? A few epics, maybe a legendary, and a golden card or two that promote synergies I might build a deck around once or twice, but never revisit? The true value of this bundle is in the dust, but the collector in me would never disenchant a card I don't have two of. So, realistically, it's a waste of money.
Anyway, I'll be buying the bundle.
Great value, I got really lucky.. so much so that i wonder if the pity timer for the first 10 packs was reset?
I opened 5 legendaries, 1 of which was a golden Herald Volazj. Immediately dusted that one, so I have plenty of dust for the new expansion.
Very happy.
Definitely good, value-wise. But to be honest I am only getting this because I am a collection-addict and want to add cards to my wild pool. Else, I wouldn't bother. Lately even modes like Brawl are becoming more "Standard friendly" in order to eliminate disparities between newer and older players (smaller vs bigger collections)
Not bad. Happy they support wild.
Personally, I hope they have targeted bundles for a specific season in the future, for example Mammoth Bundle containing packs for that season.
Definitely getting this. Been trying to build up my collection of wild cards.
Ended up getting three legendaries and several epics. Plus almost 500 dust because the epics were duplicates. Overall it was a great deal for me because I had no cards from the first two expansions . Interestingly enough, two of the legendaries were not from expansions that I had no cards from.
24packs/$15 doesn't sounds like a bad ratio - at least for what we got used to - but I hate how they divided it in chunks of 3 packs per sets ... pretty useless if you are gunning for anything in particular from those sets ; +3 on your pity timer for 8 different sets sounds like a rather poor ratio. Guess it only depends on what you value, but imho that bundle is solely a dust booster.
As you said it depends on what each player values, so I'm not preaching, but I did analyse it a little differently.
Irrespective of the pity timer, 24 packs are still fairly likely to net you 1 legendary with the usual average of 1 per 20 packs. Granted 24 isn't high enough above that to fully expect a legendary, but equally you can do better (I lucked out and got 3 for instance, and I haven't even opened the Classic packs yet because I am waiting for news on the set rotation and getting better odds of something new if there are more Hall of Fame replacement cards).
More widely, you shouldn't really open packs when "gunning for anything in particular". Unless you REALLY want a common that you cannot craft for some reason, even 20 packs of the appropriate set isn't enough to expect anything specific to turn up. In which case it doesn't make a huge difference how the packs are split across sets.
Did Amazon got rid of the Ear Back Amazon coins thing? Last time a saw it for hearthstone was back when Uldum adventure release and can't find apps with the yellow banner on the app store
It isn't active 100% of the time =(
In hearthstone yes it only for hours with months apart, but there wasn't a promotion since Uldum there were at least 1 with during pre-orders, and there used to be the "Earn Coins" Tab on the app and now is gone with "best games to use coins" add.
Pretty great bundle for new players who never opened any pack from these sets. If they're lucky, they can get quite a few legendaries.
6x epic, 3x golden rare, no legendaries.
I'm surprised Wild only packs contains classic packs. Maybe this is a hint of changing the classic set?
Is it available only if you have reached rank 24 in Wild or Standard counts as well?
1. You need to reach Rank 25 not 24
2. Anyway, to play wild you need to reach rank 25 in standard, so if you are 26+, you can't play wild. The moment you reach rank 25, the wild mode will be unblocked, and you begin Range 25 Wild, there isn't ranks 26-50 in wild.
Thanks for the clarification.
24 packs for 15 euros isn't bad deal. But you will need a whole lot more (I think) in order to start climbing in Wild.
I am not a wild player tho, so maybe there are some budget decks as well.
Thanks for the clarifications, it is interesting to hear the actual process for new players and what is being unlocked, and after which milestone is it available, etc. I think many of us never had to transition from Standard to Wild, as it was more our collection that migrated and our cards were no longer accessible in Standard. After nearly 6 years, I had totally forgotten how it is to start over a new account.
You can't pass 24 packs for just 15 euro. It's a great VfM, in terms of missing wild cards and for some extra dust
Its a good deal, for the number of packs on offer. But unfortunately, its 3 packs per expansion, and if you're wanting to have a go with wild, 3 packs is hardly a good starting point to start from. They should have just let you choose the packs you want instead, really.
So, have to be a skip for me I'm afraid.
It’s mainly for newer players I’d think, since it they’re guaranteed a legendary in the first 10.
Still kinda sucks though, since most of the older expansions don’t really see much play anymore
