Did the Devs somewhere say that they'll give DH some OP Stuff to compensate for the Lack of Cards? Cause this Demons seems to, you know, „push the Envelope".
Like, 10 UNAVOIDABLE Damage + a 10/5 Minion seems a bit much, even if it starts dormant. Also, it's rare, so you can have 2 of those!
Imprisoned Antaen looks like a potential nerf candidate to me. The tempo swing and face damage potential are way too high. This card could end up being a problem.
Dormant as an effect is problematic due to the opponent not having any way of interacting with it. If you have no way to respond to this card once it awakens, it's going to be pretty much game over.
Still remember that you pay 5 mana for a "do nothing" card; if awaken effects weren't good the cards would probably never see play because of the huge tempo loss, we'll see how they will work in practice
I cannot help but feel like these Imprisoned minions are going to be way too slow to be good.
Some of them will be good. The Demon Hunter one, 10 dmg split between enemies and a 10 attack minion is amazing.
It really depends on how you play it. If you've a board full of minions, play a dormant minion that's immune to board clears.
Like most cards, its usefulness depends largely on what you're facing. You can also play strategically to make it worth.
Play Imprisoned Antaen turn 5, opponent develops board, turn 6 Chaos Nova, turn 7 opponent develops board and it gets destroyed by this, and you got 7 mana crystals to get tempo back along with a 10/6.
What! You made a channel? Excited to see great content.
Yeah, we have a YouTube now =)
Not completely settled on the plans for it, but we'll definitely make use of it in the future.
Imprisoned Antaen might actually be busted. If there isnt a card that removes the dormant effects, this one is impossible to dodge the massive tempo swing, never mind being actually capable of lethal all on its own. It can be eaten by Sacrificial Pact (courtesy of Zephrys the Great), but that's not a good reason enough to avoid playing this card.
Soul Split, for now, meh. Unless there's a charging demon this one's not really that great. A deathrattle demon in later reveals might change my opinion.
So the opponent's choices are: build a board to get destroyed and soak up the damage, or get nuked in the face for 10. Reminds me of the lose-lose choices against Explosive Runes.
I am still sceptical about those dormant cards but this one will cause Some interesting gameplay!
It‘s much weaker than Reno though but that’s true for most cards
so a conditional Molten Reflection and C'Thun light. Interessting.
