Poor The Black Knight. He is getting mega lapped by Kayn Sunfury and Maiev Shadowsong.
Very good card, and because it makes an minion go dormant, she can basicly "remove" DEATHRATTLES without triggering them! Maiev Shadowsong is useful on turn 4 because of her stats and later in the game she can temporarily remove things like Convincing Infiltrator and Winged Guardian. Very solid card that MIGHT see play in nearly every deck. If rogue isn't going to be a top tier class this expansion, (super low chance) at least Maiev Shadowsong will make it feel like rogue has a presence.
Also i certainly HOPE that rogue get's a hero skin. Maiev is the only rogue alt and it is a free hero skin for those who played during the year of the mammoth... which is like 2 years ago... Yeh rogue got a 1k wins skin, but that's not considered an alt.
Even better than a 2-turn freeze because you can go face if you target an enemy taunt minion since it actually disappears from the game for 2 turns. It can also be used to reset hp/divine shield effect of your own minion. Pretty strong card.
Very good tempo card, i can see this card basically played in almost all decks, similar to zilliax.
Making an opponent's minion "vanish" for 2 turns and putting a 4/3 on the board is very strong for 4 mana.
The effect can be used on your minions too, so it has some combo potential.
Or you can use to one of your minions if you feel that your board is already pretty strong and want some protection from an upcoming boardclear.
Versatile and good
If you target one of the new imprisoned demons, will they trigger their awaken effects when they awaken or is it only the first time?
Yay neutral Removal for Druid...sort of
A must-have for its versatility. Use it on your own minion to reset their health or keyword (stealth, divine shield etc.), or save them for a later combo; or use it on your opponent's minion as a temporary sap.
Spellbreaker had to die for this.
Wild-wise, this is probably the best card of the expansion.
What does Spellbreaker have to do with this card? Both cards serve a similar purpose and have advantages and disadvantages over one another. When you say "[Hearthstone Card (died for this" you imply there's some insanely broken combo potential, like "Mountain Giant died for Evocation".

I imply that this card, as a legendary, is more meaningful in Standard without common Spellbreaker around.
Nobody except Combo would craft and play Maiev Shadowsong, if they could play Spellbreaker.
She'd be just a Combo card. Instead, she's a Combo AND Tempo card. Unique AND versatile.
Maybe spellbreaker would have been HoFed regardless, but either way what I wrote was obviously a hyperbole to underline the similarities between the two cards.

This seems like a cheap way to have a solution for all of the busted but low mana cost cards in this expansion, with it being at four mana. You kill the opponents 4 mana obiwan kenobi they coined out on turn three, and they top deck the ghost of obiwan kenobi which is more powerful than you could possibly imagine, and you play this to banish it to the shadow realm until you can deal with it on a higher mana turn.
All that talk of Primes and not ONE Transformers reference? Disappointed.
Yeah, inb4 we see Optimotron and Optimotron Prime.
Time to make your Imprisoned Demons dormant again for double the value lol
Very interesting effect that is going to find a lot of cool interactions.
Surprised no one has mentioned that this is basically a cheaper, 2 turn black knight that takes up a spot on the board on your opps side. Pretty versatile on both sides of the board!

She's not even a class card for the class she's an alt hero for!

This expansion made me come back to Hearthstone.
Almost all of the legendary cards are my favorite warcraft characters so far.
