This is kind of strong. Demon Hunter is totally new so no idea if it will see play. High cost cards in general sometimes don't see play even when they're strong but I think this might be strong enough to.
It impacts the board, which is essential for high drop creatures. You can trade this and leave behind a huge body. If the first body doesn't die, then it's a sticky threat with a ton of attack that leaves behind a huge health taunt. It reminds me of siamat in that it can be great offensively and defensively. Siamat is probably strong because it's more versatile and cheaper though.
I think it's good.
Obviously very strong statstick, but it's not exactly something that really fits with DHs playstyle of rushing the board early and keeping it that way.
IF this was a Druid or Hunter card I'd be concerned, but with no tribal synergy this is just....good.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Yet another strong Card for DH! I get that it's a new Class and that their at a Card Disadvantage, but damn! They got some powerful Stuff!
Btw, the Artwork of this Card is really cool. You got this Sea-Creature-looking Dude with a fat Gauntlet and some Metal-Augmentations. Pretty dope imo.

Cheers love, the cavalry is here!
Hot damn, that can deal with big menace
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
It has an immediate impact on the board and leaves behind a big guy for your opponent to have to deal with next turn. This is definitely one of the better "big demons" in this set.

Demon Hunter will be strong even in wild. Lot of great cards including that one.
I never apologize… I’m sorry but that’s the way I am.
It's a Naga, not a Demon :P Sadly won't be able to combo him with the likes of Raging Felscreamer.
I don't understand it's artwork. But the effects are nice. Dunno how nice it is for a DH, but we are starting to see some big demons and high mana cost card for the DH, so I guess they want to give the class an option to build control decks as well. Like in WoW - dps or a tank.

Oh yeah, I guess I just saw a large Demon Hunter minion and made assumptions. A shame, it would have been pretty cool as a demon. I still think it is a good card though.

That's a LOT of stats for 8 mana! Plus a Rush and a Taunt! This should be a very strong card.

Really wished this was a neutral instead. I love me some big deathrattles.
But seriously, what went through their mind when they designed this card. Its so much stats for an 8 drop. It has rush so it has initiative and later, taunt so it adds to defense as well.
The only thing keeping this down is that so many dhunter cards are so overpowered that this seemed so normal. Probably a one off in a midrange dhunter deck. Or perhaps even 2x in control decks. Its just good.
The combined stats are great for 8 mana, but rhis card doesn't fit to the aggressive play style of DH. Big Demon DH has probably not enough good cards at the moment, but might become relevant later this year.
This is a very strong arena card though.
Great arena card. But it's not a demon so it doesn't really fit in a DH deck...
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
this is pretty strong, but I don't think it's necessarily broken. Depends on the meta, I guess

Wow, the classic sets looks so weak now. how far have we come :)
Well 8 mana cost minion.. it should be this good!
This is such a great late game card, luckily for the game it doesn't have the demon tag so it can't be discounter/cheated out as easily..
I am ok with the power level of the card it costs 8.
Really good, but at 8 mana... unsure if this will see play. Maybe as a 1-off in a deck?
Very strong removal minion with a fail safe taunt. Cost is tad too high but any lower this card will be too OP. Probably see some day light for this card in Control DH deck.
I love this card; 10/10. The only thing holding it back is the lack of tribal synergy, but honestly that would be too powerful. It's way better than Firelands Portal, that's for sure: for 1 more mana you get +4 damage to a minion, the possibility that the initial minion could live to attack again, and the end result is a 5/9 Taunt (better than any normal 5-drop). The only advantage FP has is that it can go face; an important distinction, but not enough to make me rate it over Coilfang Warlord.
Insane stats for the cost, combining a proactive tempo play with a defensive one. Even just dropping it on 8 without any minion opposing it will threaten your opponent's life total. I see this topping off the mana curve of tempo-y midrange DH decks.
I miss the times where such an effect would habe been on a legendary. Seems pre-Dragon-OP. Or just good now.
Strong card for DH. This is a removal with a taunt for protect DH resource. I think it will see play in midrange DH version
Maybe a good card for a n'zoth control demon hunter if demon hunter gets enough control tools in the future.
This post is discussing the wild format.
I am more excited for DH cards like this than the rush 'em down type of aggro cards. One of the best things about this class to me is the versatility it might have depending on the mix of class and neutral cards you have available. It could go aggro, midrange, or possibly venture into the realm of control.
EDIT: And in Wild it has the possibility to create a Combo archtype with Metamorphosis and cards like Clockwork Automaton and Garrison Commander. Get 2 Automatons and the Commander in hand, drop Emperor Thaurissan, maybe Drakkari Enchanter, then after setting up Metamorphosis you can do a big 40 damage combo the following turn.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
I feel like team 5 started to abuse the comfortability of Rush mechanic.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
This is completely broken in arena. Remember the 9 mana kraken? This dude here is much better and brings a hughe taunt on the board. Good card, but too expensive for wild I think.
Hmm i don't know if this card is nerf-worthy or not. Deal 9, potentially kept alive, if not then there is taunt coming for you is kinda strong.
This is a strong minion in and out of the arena.
the strong attack with rush means you'll clear something gauranteed, the high defense and taunt means you and whatever else is on the board stays safe.
Possibly DH's best single target removal
this card is the winner of "most annoying card in AoO...
This card is powerful for control. Rush to trade, and then leave a big taunt on the board.

It is gonna be great for arena. It is hard to get around, but I still do not know if it will see any play. If paired against aggressive decks, I do not honk this will be great. Plus, this is heavy on mana when you are trying to kill the enemy, and it just does not feel bad or great; kind of average
Seems great, even for an aggressive deck. You can remove a big minion from your opponent, and then get a big taunt to protect the rest of your minions.
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
An insane tempo swing, allowing you to go 2 for 1 immediately and leaving behind a defensive body. Every slower DH archetype will want to include this.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Seems versatile, and probably amazing for arena.
9 damage 5/9 Taunt for 8 is brutal.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
This card popularity is direct with the attack power of the most used cards at the time. you want to kill it on a 5 or more attack minion and get the taunt versus the other minions. IF the average attack damage on board is below 5, you will be left defenseless and playing this, wasting 8 mana in a 1 minion removal.
