I mean, the value checks out (Water Elementals are 4 mana each) but it's a big expensive spell that does very little at the moment you cast it.

Just in general I like having more Big Mage Spells given that Naga Sand Witch is still around. Let'S hope this spawns something other than Highlander and Casino
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Now imagine if you can discount this spell by 1-2 or even more mana, which mages can easily do - we are talking about value here.

Great control card. Also mage LOVES freezes. And Water Elemental is generally a sticky minion. I'm definitely NOT looking forward to seeing this get played in some Wild elemental + DK Jaina deck.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
This is for the Spell Mage archetype because she will need to summon some minions for that archetype like how Druid and Hunter does.
I'm quite happy that mage has such a card.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
In Wild this is a great card for BSM, I like it :)
This card seems way too slow to see play in constructed. If this is discounted by Kael'thas Sunstrider it's OK though.
If you can reduce its cost, then its a good card. Otherwise its just too slow. Still, there's plenty of ways via Kael'thas Sunstrider & Kalecgos to make this cheaper. Definite inclusion into highlander mage.

I think this doesn't have enough value as a standalone.
Needs support cards like Incanter's Flow for spell mages or Dragoncaster for highlander or dragon decks.
Might see play in a more spell heavy Reno mage variant but it's a bit slow and might not make the cut without any support.
8 mana for 6/12 and disable a minion. A bit slow but has potential in spell mage decks as this will allow you to generate some free minions.
Thematically this is a fantastic fit for the mage class - freeze and summon. Doesn't have a deck yet, I suppose.
Freezing only 1 minion at 8 mana seems really pointless. Maybe if it froze all enemy minions and they bumped it up to 9 mana?
2 words: too slow. Sure, 2 water elementals for 8 mana is decent value, but you want to be doing more powerful stuff on 8 mana than that.
Nice card but way too slow. Might be good for wild with Frost Lich Jaina where the elementals have lifesteal though.
Probably too slow, but I love it anyway.
IDK power of creations makes 2 6 drops for the same price.. that being said water elemental is probably really good to have 2 of even if it's a 4 drop plus it freezes the turn you play it plus it's in the mage pool anyway..
Great in highlander, auto include in spell mage, tempo probably not.
This card is an underdog for me. He can shut down any aggressive deck, but 8 mana can be a problem. This card can be find a spot in hightlander mage maybe
A minion generating spell to help out the no minion mage decks. Probably worse than Frost Nova or Blizzard as a tool for mass freezing, but maybe has potential with demon hunters being very reliant on hero attacks? Probably too slow, occupying a slot that is much better filled by the Jaina DK.

Not impressed. Value is ok but you want more effect on board at this mana level. Freeze ALL minions and I'm in!
Good overall card, 4+4 for double water elemental and 0 freeze effect. If the cost gets lower, though.. yummy
freezes a minion, and summons two water elementals.
it's fine for it's cost but it's too slow. Like others have said Kael'thas would make this much stronger, and any mana reduction in general makes it more playable
8 mana just seems like too much for just putting some stats on the field. This card simply doesn't do enough on the turn you play it for it to be worth it.

On its own it’s way too slow, needs some amazing synergy to be even remotely worth it most likely

Seems rather slow given its cost, so doubt it'll see much play.
This is SO slow, although seems like a nice addition for a control mage. The question is, how good is summoning 2 water elementals in practise.
I don't see this card as a 8 mana 6/12, i see it as a 8 mana freeze a minion. That's laughably weak. I assume this only costs 8 mana because of Incanter's Flow.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)

The value is crazy. Cheapening this spell or making it cost 0 is going to be even better. Casting this from the prime card is also gonna be crazy. High amount of potential
