Absurdly strong secret, and would be run even if it'S the only one in the deck.
Basically makes it so every single minion you play has to be removed via spells or else you get some very unpredictable value out of it. The bigger the minions the greater the punish.
I expect this to be nerfed to "costs (2) more" within the first month. We're talking about a card that basically gives you a 5-drop at turn 3 that most likely value trades. Even with the amount of possible low-rolls, just the amount of pressure and awkward playarounds this creates will be worth it. It's basically Rat Trap except no way to really play around it over multiple turns.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
The fact it transforms the minion rather than summons a new target is pretty important. You are basically paying 2 mana without knowing the outcome, so a 3 mana boost seems fair and in line with these effects in the past. Indeed, shaman got Explosive Evolution recently, so we know the effect itself is worth about 2 mana. The trade off is the reduced control but additional disruption potential that comes with it being a secret.
Anyway, the artwork is hilarious, and reminds me a bit of Ogre Ninja. Ogres rarely become rogues, but those who do truly are masters of disguise.
Absurdly strong. Why did rogue get an evolve effect card? This is basicly Explosive Evolution. And your opponent has to ALWAYS think that every rogue secret might be this card. Absolutely insane, and is probably the reason you play secrets in rogue.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
It is a powerful card ok but you don't want to play this with deathrattle minions, and especially with Shadowjeweler Hanar and minions that has effects other than battlecry. All of the older secrets (K&C secrets) have more synergies with [Hearthstone Card (Shadowjewler Hanar) Not Found] than newer ones which is odd imo.
Besides those it is really a cool card and has a great flavor.

Thief Rogue stole this off a Shaman
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Its strong because a) the transformed minion is more likely to give you a favorable trade, b) its a secret, c) you get to decide whether this procts or not. (by not playing or playing minions).
This secret does have a negative synergy with taunts or key minions, but its strength more than make up for it.
This is a great secret, and I'm already excited to play Secret Rogue when the expansion hits. Due to it's power level, this card might be an auto-include for every Rogue deck.
Rudy will be honored.

I'm kind of surprised we didn't see any new anti-secret tech to come out with all the new ones given that Chief Inspector is rotating. So at this point Hunters have Flare (a good card in many respects) & everyone else only has SI:7 Infiltrator (not very good at all since it only hits one secret). Unless I'm forgetting something it's going to be a rough thing to play around.
This card looks so powerful. This will definitely be that secret everyone plays around for the next year.
Also that art is so good . .
Carrion, my wayward grub.
I can't think of a class that needs this less. The mana cheats this year are starting off strong
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Like the meme name of this.
explosive evolution costs the same but this makes the enemy attack into the new minion so they can't always react to what you get, that being said weird mechanic.. since it's a shaman one.
probably one of the best secret for rogue..based on historical facts, any form of making a minion potentially bigger and have RNG RNG RNG it makes the card great lol
This secret is broken. 2 mana for evolve x3 is absurd. I hate this card already
Really good card and awesome art! Secret Rogue seems like a blast to play.
Very high potential for very high high-rolling. Which of course means also high potential for low-rolling. But Rogue has many understatted Battlecry and Combo that will benefit from this evolve effect.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Very strong - even if secret rogue would not be a thing, this would see play i guess.
But i think Secret Rogue will be one of the strongest decks this upcoming meta!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Strong secret that is very hard to play around. Not worth playing on its own, but definitely worth playing for Blackjack Stunner.
This could be good or bad, mostly good. Will surely create highlights out of this.
I hate it already. I can easily see this being included in a Rogue deck, even one that doesn't have any-other Secrets. You don't need to be sneaky with this card: just deny them the ability to trade effectively. You have to essentially lose a minion just to test for the Secret, and another (or more) to remove the evolved target. Absolutely nuts.
Assuming that this optimally translates to giving the minion +3/+3, this is probably less disruptive than it looks. Minions in constructed are typically the top percentile of efficient minions, so random ones that cost (3) more are often less superior than you might think. Still, probably good if secret based rogue decks are good. Does not play nice with your shadowjeweller though, so there's that.
This post is discussing the wild format.
This is a strong card, but you'll have to be careful how you play it.
For example, if you intend to have your opponent attack a minion with taunt it might not have taunt anymore.
Same with deathrattles.
With the battlecry and combo minions of rogue this will mostly better your minions. And I love the comback of the secrets!
this card is really good. EVIL Miscreant will become a 7 cost card!
Annoying to play around, so it’ll probably be pretty strong
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Super strong secret, and hard to counter or play around it.
The best secret of the bunch. VAlue trade a minion, watch it get unanswered because there is a "?" over your head. Value trade it again and watch your opponent crumble. And yet, as a standalone card, it's strong but balanced. It's Blackjack Stunner that makes the tempo swings go out of control.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
YES. This is amazing, and I can’t wait for wild secret roug
