Just one question: How does all these cards make up an OTK scenario from 30 health?

Edit: yeah turns out I had to only click to get the guide. Thanks Thonson.

Click on the deck, it's in the guide.

Quick!  Someone give me something clever to write here.

I just don't see the advantage of making this a highlander deck. Combo decks thrive on consistency, and only being able to run half of your good draw cards doesn't help that. This is a deck that I theorycrafted before the expansion dropped with the same idea, just no highlander. I tried it, and it's pretty bad in this meta though. You just get killed way before you can complete your combo.

it's better as a highlander and the main reason is, you have to draw less cards to accomplish the combo.

Think about it: in a non highlander deck, you have to draw 2 moonfires + 2 satyrs + 2 germinations + malygos = 7 total cards

Where in this one you need only 5: elise, satyr, moonfire, germination and malygos.

Secondly, as a highlander its more flexible (you just replace the other half with other draw options such as overflow), and you get the zephrys benefit

Besides, in my list theres even more draw than yours.. in your list there's a total of 12 (considering all choose one options as draw) and in mine there's a total of 13 with all choose one options as draw (without counting the keeper stalladris that can make it more and overgrowth at turn 10 that grants another draw)

Had the same idea but didn't think one could reasonably go Highlander,, but I see your arguments.

The main problem I see is that by goign Highlander as Quest Druid you're seriously getting shafted by any aggressive deck. If you don't start on coin you'Re very unlikely to hit Innervate in your mulligan so you usually won't complete the quest before turn 5. It also means that you need to be really lucky to hit your comeback tools and are very limited in what you can actually pull off at any time.

Not saying this can't work, I just don't see the point of running it over regular Quest Druid which is a pretty awful deck in the first place.

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

Fair enough. Aggro would be the main challenge for this deck.. Thats why i added literally every aoe druid has and plenty of removal (even wild pyro + ironbark and other cheap spells to combo with).

Druid unfortunately has poor tools to deal with highly aggresive decks that can swarm the board, or high tempo plays. so the quest is mostly there so once its completed, we have a chance to keep up with the tempo.

The problem as you mentioned, is to complete the quest before its too late.. I thought of adding Licensed Adventurer since the coin he adds is super valuable for the quest completion. (I even thought of Escaped Manasaber)

But yeah, if theres another highlander list without it, it might actually be better. The focus is not on the quest, but rather on the otk
