  • Our Thoughts on Wailing Caverns' Shaman, Warlock, Warrior, & Neutral Cards

I am a little upset I dusted The Soulariam and cataclysm. I really wanna plat that Mecha'thun deck but I don't want to dust anything either.

Stealer of Souls allready broke Wild again. Your analysis is not up to date!

SoS-Warlock can OTK you even with 6 mana. Healing is not necessary in this deck. Just survive with AOEs until you have 6 mana.

    Quote From Pezman

I love this idea! Pulling off the combo as early as turn 8 is super cool, but realistically that won't happen often. How about adding a Primordial Protector? This can give us significant board presence on turn 8, and ensure Nagrand Slam is in hand for the combo later on.

Thanks for checking out the deck!

I made some significant changes to the build to survive the early game better while retaining the T8 combo, but I think you're right that the most viable version of this will abandon that completely in favor of a more reliable T9 swing turn.

To accomplish this, I really like the suggestion of running Protector!  So far I've played 5 games running the current list but swapping out Scavenger's Ingenuity + Jungle Panther for Kindling Elemental + Primordial Protector and have been really enjoying it :D

  • New Paladin Spell - Judgment of Justice

    Just play Reckoning instead.

  • How to Complete the Forged in the Barrens Paladin XP Achievements

For some reason, there often isn't a notification when someone replies to a post or comment, so I only saw this because I thought to manually check. I'm guessing it's a bug.

I actually wasn't sure if Flux meant future articles would have the new achievements. It wasn't clear that old articles would be retroactively updated.

  • Hearthstone's 94 Purchasable Card Back List Includes the Diablo Card Back - Full List of All Returning Card Backs

I think season rewards costs 500 and others (pre-order, esports) costs 600.

  • Buy One, Get One Free (of Taunt) - Druid Barrens Achievement

This deck is very painful to play :( played like 5 games and didn't get Plaguemaw the Rotting once. You need quite a lot of patience

  • Standard and Wild Packs to be Purchasable in the Hearthstone Shop Like Normal Expansion Packs

Since these new types of packs are available to purchase them directly from the in-game shop with gold, can we confirm that both the standard and wild packs follow the pity timer rules?

I mean, a legendary guaranteed from the first 10 packs opened and then a legendary guaranteed every 40 packs and an epic guaranteed every 10.

  • Hearthstone's 94 Purchasable Card Back List Includes the Diablo Card Back - Full List of All Returning Card Backs

I'm disapointed. Buying cardbacks with gold only it's a bad deal in my country.

I usually buy a cardback paying 7.00 BRL. If I use the same amount to buy packs, I'll recive only 2 packs.

    Paying 7.00 BRL  (1 cardback) + 500 gold (5 packs) is better than 7.00 BRL (2 packs) + 500 gold (1 cardback).

I'll pass. I love cardbacks, but I love packs more!

  • Hearthstone's Wailing Caverns Mini-Set Releases Today - Here's Everything You Need to Know

I think this site has not mentioned it (yet), but it seems that, starting from patch 20.4, expansion pre-orders heroes are going to gradually appear in the in-game shop to be purchased, specifically, Mecha-Jaraxxus and its card back are in sale NOW for 15 bucks (cannot be purchased with gold though).

  • Hearthstone's 94 Purchasable Card Back List Includes the Diablo Card Back - Full List of All Returning Card Backs

Does anyone know why some card backs cost 500 gold while others cost 600? What is the reason for these differences?

Could someone make a list of the prices for each available card back? (i.e. which card backs are the cheaper ones and which are the more expensive ones)

    What? Why not?

  • Rewards Track: Current progress 2.0

Yesterday, I reached the halfway point of the Rewards Track (level 200) right when the Wailing Caverns mini-set was released. Time to start doing the new XP achievements for the additional 3600 (+20%) XP.

I played a funny Wild match against the new Warlock combo deck with Stealer of Souls, Plot Twist, Violet Illusionist, Cataclysm and Mecha'thun. My opponent played the combo while I had a Bad Luck Albatross on board. Needless to say, the combo failed of course and my opponent immediately shame conceded afterwards 😂

  • Our Thoughts on Wailing Caverns' Demon Hunter, Druid, & Hunter Cards

I kinda see Felrattler as a Swipe for 1 less damage and 1 less mana. But ofc being a deathrattle makes it so much better for DH

    Quote From tnrg

I'm not annoyed yet. I started this game during the TF/Fizz and Aphelios meta. I read everywhere that that meta and the current Blade Dance/Watcher meta were the worst ones ever. I can only compare with Hearthstone but even during this two meta's my homebrew and offmeta decks are still very viable. There is also a lot more deck diversity compared to HS. Maybe I'm not spoiled because I missed the perfect meta's but I think it's surely not that bad now.

That doesn't say I'm not looking forward to the 2.11 patch next month because I really dislike the Watcher deck. Blade dance isn't much better either. I also look forward to the buffs! But this surely isn't a reason to stop playing for a while. I'm still having a lot of fun atm.

Since you are relatively new I am gonna give some context so you could understand why there so much negativity at moment:

-It started with patch 1.10, Riot decided to buff one their least played champions at time Lee Sin after a couple of weeks the community realized that buffs made him too good and the he need to be toned down a little. In next patch 1.11 Riot didn't nerf Lee sin, they also buffed a spell Bastion these changes gave birth to one most oppressive deck of all time.

-Flash forward to patch 2.1 this patch will introduce some of the most overtuned cards to game Aphelios and The Veiled Temple, it also introduced Stress Testing a card that made the already powerful TF/Fizz deck completely overpowered, same as before the community noticed Twisted Fate/Fizz and Aphelios/Zoe were both oppressive. In patch 2.3 the only balance was giving Aphelios one less health which didn't matter because Targon has lot's of healing and protection. Both deck would continue to oppress the meta for months.

-Finally we arrive at  Azir/Irelia, Lissandra/Trundle both deck have been problematic. Azir/Irelia had the one biggest win and play rate ever but Riot said the deck was fine and that high play rate was because the deck fun to play so they had no intention of nerfing it. Only to back track later and admit that deck was overpowered after all. As for Lissandra/Trundle, that deck saw no adjustment, While his play rate and win rate are nothing extraordinary the deck made most control decks unplayable.

So you see the pattern here? Riot release something that is too powerful, the community tells Riot that cards or deck are problematic, Riot proceed to ignore the feedback and do nothing, leaving players to deal with an oppressive meta for months. So while the meta is not that bad many players have started to get the feeling the Riot has just stopped taking player feedback into account and only balancing their game based on statics.

Forged in the Barrens mini-set is now out!

    Forged in the Barrens Mini-Set

Our adventurer's find ourselves in the Wailing Caverns. Contrary to Hamuul's warning not to go in, Infinis goes in. The caverns is full of several mysteries and dangers that lie ahead (and Screeching Horrors). What is undiscovered about the caverns though is the aura of Arcane energy to allow reality itself to be altered by whomever however they wish. Having been in the business of time magic after discovering Eternos from his Un'Goro trip with Elise, Infinis is of course intrigued by this possibility and heads in to claim it himself.

I have yet to remake all the old cards with spell schools, but from the counting I've done, Arcanic Dungeoneer has easily more than enough targets to be able to use well. There are about the same amount of Arcane spells for Time Traveler as there are Nature spells for Shaman to use with Primal Dungeoneer.

Could someone make a list of the prices for each available card back or hero? (i.e. which card backs or heroes are the cheaper ones and which are the more expensive ones)

Also… they gave an actual reason that makes sense for why they haven’t been doing the normal balance updates? Cause of the work on the champion expansion

  • Waiting On Changes - Promised On Reddit

Unless they happen to be morons of epic proportion, the new approach should be fairly simple if the whole community tells you that deck is problematic, don't ignore it or pretend that it's fine, also there is no harm in buffing more cards, the buffs don't have to be anything drastic, just look card like Black Spear and Mountain Goat they both receive simple changes that made them viable.
