Very nice addition for my freeze Mage. Not sure tough if i will build a Freeze Mage list that will include Hero Power Stuff with Mordresh or Freeze Mage with C'thun etc.
Interesting card and i think at least now (at the beginning of the new cards) lots of players will not think about this card and not play around, so this could be decent enough to find it`s play.
Also can slow down many plays if the opponent only has 1 strong minion on board that can attack - kinda like if you bluff with hunter to play Freezing Trap for example.
Maybe i am kinda late, but i didn't find anything like this anywhere else. I just got out of a gold chest a Draven in the Noxus tree. Right after that, i opened the epic capsule after that gold chest and i got another Draven out of it. I am just hyper lucky or does that happen more often?
Decent Card - could still be a little slow to see play but still decent because it also equips the weapon - so yeah lots of classes could benefit from this.
I think this one is decent - sure not the best one but this could work pretty well in Zoo-ish decks and i think also works as some sort of Soft Taunt because if it isn't removed it still gives you pretty decent value.
At first i thought this card was meh ... would not find a place in the Meta, but the more i think i about it, the more im convinced that this could become better then expected.
Sure most Hunter lists want to run other cards instead of this but lists with Pack Runner or other Cards that summon Hyenas or other Rush beasts this could work as a hard removal for big taunts.
Still not the best card but at least ok even if it will be very situational.
On my 3th standard pack i got Ysiel Windsinger. Maybe usefull for some combos in wild? Not sure though. Oh and 1 Chain Lightning (Rank 1) in my 2nd pack, so thats nice.
Already knew the Wild Legendary was probably a BAD legendary, but this is worse than i could have ever imagined lol. Was kinda hoping for at least a bad legendary that i could use in a meme deck. Unfortunatly The Skeleton Knight is too bad to fit into a meme deck. (Already tried using him in Big warrior for fun, lets say it didnt go well lol. At least one opponent conceded once i played The Skeleton Knight, just out of pity/respect or something lol.)
Got a legendary Tavish Stormpike on my fourth pack (or ninth if you consider I bought the standard bundle with five packs a few weeks ago). But take it with a grain of salt, might've just gotten lucky.
Quite interested to see decklists this time. Players have had less than 24 hours to experiment with the new cards, so it's likely they'll stick to old decks
Its really just too early to call it, but from my own experience day 1 here's what I think;
- Taintheart Tormenter is not really as bad as I first thought, though its very matchup specific because the very much better Illidari Inquisitor is always creeping up the corners whenever this card is mentioned. Played against control decks and druid, this card can pretty much just win you the game. But in most other matches Illidari inquisitor is simply just the better choice.
- I think decks with Deviate Dreadfang is just not very good right now. There's really no reload like how Exotic Mountseller used to have in Overflow. It might be that its simply not optimized, but when you play this card its really all in or bust at that point.
- Ive played a little with Frostweave Dungeoneer in a minion heavy deck, and its honestly not really that bad. There are some frost spells you would play in a tempo mage deck like Brain Freeze, Flurry (Rank 1), Oasis Ally, and even (in my deck anyway) Snap Freeze. Its not overperforming by any stretch, but definitely not weak. With more frost spells, this can only get better.
- Against All Odds is really funny. On paper its simply magnificent but in practice, there's just so many variables that make this card only partially deal with boards as opposed to actually wiping it. Yes, there's Wave of Apathy, but it really does affect the consistency of this card. From my few encounters against priest, not one of them actually managed to play this (I can tell they're trying because they're all playing Cabal Acolyte and wave) despite needing a board wipe. Its also funny how many priest cards have odd attack values as well.
- Primal Dungeoneer is basically the best card of this set. It enables so many shaman builds its not even funny. Played with it myself, and yes, its broken levels of good in a class with no card draw.
- Archdruid Naralex is underrated. I played it and I like it. But I havent actually faced anyone else playing it so I have to assume the community was not impressed. We'll see.
- I can see why you don't like Kresh, Lord of Turtling, but I really think this card has the qualities to be a staple in warrior decks. I havent actually played any warrior yet, but no doubt I shall within the next few days.
After playing it in ranked its very fun and catches people way off guard. If you get a highroll, the only thing to stop you from winning is the animation. Regardless, I was consistently doing it on turn 7/8 which is still too slow in wild a lot of the time
Yep, that "of" was a small typo that made the phrase incomprehensible - it is now fixed.
But yeah, my thoughts were: "what if they either make it a 2 mana draw a card or a 2 mana give +2/+2?" -> five seconds have passed --> "nhaaa that would be such a stupid change"
The next Sets will definetely include some Spell-school synergy similar to minion tribe synergy. There is no way they would update every past, current and future cards and then never use them again.
New Rogue Minion - Water Moccasin
Not bad but also not that great. Still decent enough to maybe find it's way into some decks.
New Hunter Minion - Sin'dorei Scentfinder
OK card, but not sure that this will find it's place in the meta. Maybe wild for Quest Hunter?
New Mage Minion - Floecaster
Very nice addition for my freeze Mage. Not sure tough if i will build a Freeze Mage list that will include Hero Power Stuff with Mordresh or Freeze Mage with C'thun etc.
New Paladin Spell - Judgment of Justice
Interesting card and i think at least now (at the beginning of the new cards) lots of players will not think about this card and not play around, so this could be decent enough to find it`s play.
Also can slow down many plays if the opponent only has 1 strong minion on board that can attack - kinda like if you bluff with hunter to play Freezing Trap for example.
New Warlock Minion - Stealer of Souls
Well i guess this is pretty damn Scary in Wild - sure also good for standard but not as bonkers as it could be in wild.
But i could also see this working in standard - and it also has a decent body so it is not that easy to remove.
How to Get Champions
Maybe i am kinda late, but i didn't find anything like this anywhere else. I just got out of a gold chest a Draven in the Noxus tree. Right after that, i opened the epic capsule after that gold chest and i got another Draven out of it. I am just hyper lucky or does that happen more often?
New Shaman Minion - Wailing Vapor
Awesome 1 Drop for Shaman. Good stats and good addition for elemental shaman.
New Neutral Minion - Selfless Sidekick
Decent Card - could still be a little slow to see play but still decent because it also equips the weapon - so yeah lots of classes could benefit from this.
New Warrior Minion - Kresh, Lord of Turtling
Well this one is pretty darn good i would say. Synergy with Saurfang and N'Zoth and therefor will give you lots of armor.
I like it.
New Neutral Minion - Meeting Stone
I think this one is decent - sure not the best one but this could work pretty well in Zoo-ish decks and i think also works as some sort of Soft Taunt because if it isn't removed it still gives you pretty decent value.
New Priest Spell - Against All Odds
Interesting. Priest has some good removals and this plus the Wave could add one more boardclear to that list.
Not sure if you would run those 2 cards instead of other stuff but defenitely not as bad as it looks.
New Hunter Spell - Serpentbloom

And in my 1st Wild Pack i got The Skeleton Knight. Whoo 400 dust! :P
Already knew the Wild Legendary was probably a BAD legendary, but this is worse than i could have ever imagined lol. Was kinda hoping for at least a bad legendary that i could use in a meme deck. I respectfully disagree. Paladin may still be the best class after the mini set, but not by a wide margin.
