  • Ramp Paladin?

Crafted it yesterday but didn't have much time to play with it. It seems pretty good, and I finally get to play with some new old gods. Heard from high legend players that it's quite a scary concept though.

Apparently High Abbess Alura has a 93% mulligan winrate on coin. To put that in perspective: cards like Prince Keleseth and Barnes hovered around 70% mulligan winrate.

Scary stuff, but we'll see how it pans out.

  • Ramp Paladin?

So Regiskillbin uploaded a new video featuring this really cool deck, which highrolls off of Tip the Scales and reportedly, it was apparently a “top tier deck” (I can’t tell if this was trolling or not). Has anyone actually fought it before or if it really is all that “good”?

  • Monks and Death Knights? No New Hearthstone Class is Planned for at Least the Next 2 Years

Well, they just started releasing mini-sets every expansion, effectively taking the amount of cards to 170.

"Mac and Cheese is not good."

Uh, excuse me. What is this? Macaroni and cheese is absolutely delicious and anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong.

  • Ever feel intimidated?

I've been playing since day 1 of open beta. I have 1k+ wins with all 10 classes. I keep all my golden cards. I have the legend card back. Those cosmetics are more indicative of time than skill. If you meet me on ladder, you'll probably win.

  • Monks and Death Knights? No New Hearthstone Class is Planned for at Least the Next 2 Years

I always thought a Death Knight class that had a passive hero power that granted Lifesteal to your hero would be amazing.

  • Monks and Death Knights? No New Hearthstone Class is Planned for at Least the Next 2 Years

The more classes they add, the less neutral cards they have.  Sure they can add more neutral cards but it seems like they will consistently stick to 135 cards per expansion.

Geez, you got me there lol

  • Monks and Death Knights? No New Hearthstone Class is Planned for at Least the Next 2 Years

I personally would like there to not be anymore classes, but I am not a developer so I don’t know what would be best for the game.

edit: Since I forgot to include it, my issue with more classes is that eventually I believe they will not feel distinct anymore. For example, (I) feel like demon hunter does everything rogue does in standard but better. It also worth noting that if death knights and monks got added they would both be classes with attacking heros, making that 9/12 classes that do attack.

  • Monks and Death Knights? No New Hearthstone Class is Planned for at Least the Next 2 Years

I wish they would take demon hunter out lol.

  • Ever feel intimidated?

I would personally call it more of a wow factor than an intimidation, and as much as I appreciate my golden cards, I don't associate a gold collection to any type of skills - at least not HS related - it simply meant you have played and possibly spent quite a lot ; if you play the game long enough, at some point, you will get to those same milestones.

You could also prioritize grinding a single class and owing a single deck, if gold is what you seek.^^

This interactions were not broken, but were way powerful and asking for trouble... Hysteria limited design space basically because such stuff was possible...

  • Hearthstone Adds a Happy New Year Questline - 3 Legendary Quests with a Total of 9 Packs as Rewards

    "Happy New Year

    • Play 5 games of Standard Ranked."

I wish they'd change the weekly of 5 ranked wins into just play. Most games i play have learned that some time ago, and i personally don't like feeling forced to win. I enjoy playing my broken dysfunctional and experimental decks and it always makes me feeling meh when i gotta look up somewhere what the newest fastest most broken meta-breaking combo-wombo bestest deck is so i can get the quest off my back.

  • isn't it cheating, when big streamers always disconnect on purpose in bgs?

While I think it is undeniable that firewalling yourself to get extra turn time gives a tremendous advantage to some builds, like APM pirates or chadgar brann shenanigans, it's the type of thing that's a necessary evil for the time being. This is because depending on how long combat takes, a player can get more or less time in their turn. If you are playing a build that's reliant on having a long turn timer, this can just ruin your chances to win simply because the opponents are playing a build that has deathrattles/tokens.

This ties back into the age-old issue that animation times are way too slow for a lot of things. While certain cases of this in the past that people complained about, like the ysera portals and other cast when drawn cards aren't a huge deal, I do believe that Battlegrounds should have a whole "skip combat" button, so that way the people playing apm reliant builds can still properly play the game and those who aren't can enjoy the combat phase since most builds aren't going to need an extra 30-40 seconds to spend all their gold.

  • Hearthstone Patch 19.4.1 Brings Balance Changes to Duels - Hero Power Nerfs, Treasure Adjustments

Honestly I just think they are trying to tone down some of the obvious synergies in duels.  Duels should be partly about starting deck synergy, and partly about treasure/bucket RNG.

Right now it feels like people still force certain starting decks/archetypes because of the OPness of certain strategies. This should do a good job of keeping that in check and fostering a more experimental environment (at least I hope).

  • Ever feel intimidated?

    Quote From anchorm4n

I wouldn't call it intimidation, but I do acknowledge 1.000 win portraits in some kind of "okay, you're dealing with an expert here, be careful" kind of way.

I dunno. I had a 1,000 win Demon Hunter nuke his entire board with a Shardshatter Mystic a few months ago, letting me win the game.

1,000 wins is just time spent playing, not time spent playing well.

  • Concept cards - community feedback

    Hi Everyone,

I've been working on some cards trying to create a set, and thought it might be a good idea to get some feedback/insight/ideas from the community on a some of the cards.

While I'm starting off with my own designs, feel free to use this space to post your own cards for community feedback.

Some of these cards are designed with combos in mind - so consider how they interact with the other cards shown.

I mean we do use decks from the site in our articles, frequently in Weekend Wild Decks, among others. But i like the idea of spotlighting decks the similar way we do pro/streamer decks, that could be fun.

  • Hearthstone Patch 19.4.1 Brings Balance Changes to Duels - Hero Power Nerfs, Treasure Adjustments

Welcome changes that should do the job for balance purposes. That 1 mana cost for Outlander is a great choice to slow the strategy down without killing the theme. It will still be strong but they can always increase it to 2 if necessary. Now they need to stop making insanely efficient, 1 mana DH cards. :)

I love the reduction to Royal Greatsword. The change to Death Games is nice but very easy to work around since the fast start is a bigger problem than targeting the HP. I think the bump to 8 for Bonecrusher is too much.

  • Hysteria's Nerf Arrives on January 28 - Can No Longer Target Friendly Minions

I"m glad to see that they realized how ridiculous this combo was and did something about it.  I am quite bummed that I was caught up in trying to complete all the new quests since the "mini-set" cards were released to bother playing either of the decks that were causing people to rage quit.

  • Hearthstone Patch 19.4.1 Brings Balance Changes to Duels - Hero Power Nerfs, Treasure Adjustments

Thank the Gods!  I am on win 9 of my run with my Mage and the only thing that has stood in my way are those damned Deathrattle Hunters with Death Games, Cannibalism, and Bonecrusher.  Seriously, I know that the elemental mage build I have been playing around with has caused many of my opponents to outright quit once I get going, but the fact that those Hunter abilities flow so easily is a joke.

  • Cloneball!

Total RNG.   I chose Warlock and started with 2 [Hearthstone Card (Ragnaros the Firelord) Not Found] and drew into another one with two of the Offensive Play and then getting another one in my hand meant my opponent conceded on turn 5

  • User-submitted deck spotlights

I would love this. More community engagement is always a good thing.

We definitely don't need every deck spotlight to be a community deck, but it would be cool to feature those more.
