  • How about combining news items for fewer posts?

    Pro

First off, I just want to say Out of Cards is my one and only source for all things Hearthstone ... you guys are killing it!

Occasionally we have a big news day, and I am confronted by numerous articles on the various topics of the day. On these (admittedly rare) occasions, I feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of articles, and wish there were just one big post with "Here's everything Blizzard announced today" or something. As sort of an example, today there was a post about Dean Ayala saying there would not be new classes any time soon, then another about the full Q&A containing that info and more. Why not just do one article?

    Respectfully submitted,

    Pezman

  • Okay, Tiny Dude's Big Now

i desperately want this archetype to work, but i just can't quite get it to pop off. maybe rally?

  • Rewards Track: Current progress

I'm at level 115, I don't play that much except for weekends and I haven't investigated exp quests or the special achieves that give exp. That sounds like playing parts of the game that don't interest me.

  • Rampant Corruption Control Priest Deck List & Guide - Memes and Dreams #5

I would say dreams. How often are you going to be able to play enough cards to be able to corrupt growth enough for it to be lethal? you might as well play fatigue because it is going to take a really long time to pull of this OTK. There is also the possibility that growth happens to the final cards of your deck meaning you would already have to dip into fatigue to pull off the combo.

  • Hysteria's Nerf Arrives on January 28 - Can No Longer Target Friendly Minions

Last time I checked on my iPad it still had the wrong art for Town Crier. I guess that will be fixed. I'm expecting a delay for mobile because bug fixes mean code changes. Unless they're server-side bugs. I know I've seen balance patches where you didn't have to wait because it could just download the new data from Blizzard servers since none of the executable code changed.

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

What metric would you use? Random Internet commenters' opinions?

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

Then be strategic and only play Achievement decks when you're at a rank floor. They happen every five levels - i.e. all the time. The first thing I do when I hit rank 10 or 5 is queue up some meme decks.

  • Cloneball!

It said cloned 4 times, so I thought it was 1 original, then 4 clones, times 6 different cards. That would work out to a standard 30 card deck. If it was actually 28, I didn't notice. I could've added up the cards in my hand and deck if I'd thought it would be different than 30.

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

How is it "massively complicated"? Good lord, y'all will complain about anything. Truly sad.

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

Ah, well good thing we elected you specifically to represent every player of the game. -eyeroll-

My gold has been significantly increased, so I sincerely don't know what you're talking about.

  • The Lack of New Tavern Brawls is Due to the Hearthstone Live Content Team Working on the New Game Mode, Duels, and Book of Heroes

If that team has been the people working on the Book of Heroes, what has the solo adventure team been working on all this time?

  • Favorite Class Rankings

Thanks for replying!  Here is my own list, I wasn’t sure if I should post it initially.

    1. Warlock

Warlock has such a high variety of decks and deck archetypes, and Renolock is so versatile and after Tickatus can do well against any archetype combo aggro and control.

    2. Mage

I like Reno Galaxy Mage a lot and the general spell based synergy gameplay.

    3. Hunter

This used to be lower for me but after the new expansion Deathrattle hunter with Tonk, Flark’s Boomzooka, and other things became one of my favorite decks.  I also like the death knight for hunter and its hero power.

    4. Shaman

Shudderwock is my favorite card in the game and I like the flavor of the evolve mechanic.  The battlecry quest enables a lot of archetypes as well

    5. Druid

Many different deck archetypes from aggro to midrange to control to combo, it has the aviana kun combo for many different possible combos, plus Reno Druid is one of my favorite decks

    6. Priest

It has some nice control value decks but somehow is less enjoyable than other classes with similar decks

    7. Paladin

Paladin is too limited and doesn’t have any control type decks, pure recruit paladin is nice though

    8. Rogue

Kingsbane rogue and Thief rogue are ok but one gets repetitive and the other has a very low winrate so I end up almost never playing it

    9.  Warrior

It has a lot of deck types, but so far most warrior decks I tried are just boring to play for me or are not competitive at all

    10. Demon Hunter

Too limited to aggro, and it’s not even the most enjoyable aggro for me.  Outcast is a nice mechanic though

  • New Parsa Creature - Khyber Outcast

Really cool flavor text. I don't play the game at all but this card set the tone for the set.

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

Iksar actually did indicate that there is something changing with respect to deck slots. It just didn't seem to make it into this recap.

Every educated European knows that mac and cheese is really good, but only with a mandatory glass of red wine.

(There are rumors that some barbarians overseas consume it without a proper digestive, but what to expect from people of low culture.)

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

Mac and cheese is not good?!?!  Dean just lost all credibility with me!

And sint also relaly low data to poitn whe reit says it may be innacurate?
So ti could still eb high mulgian winrate  but aslo still eb far from 93%

    I'm sorry, what?

Saying Nozdormu on curve isn't great because the opponent has a 10 mana turn before you do isn't all that black and white. Generally, the opponent mulligans for their early game, which means they're not going to keep expensive cards. More often than not they have trouble even using all those mana crystals on turn 10, since they're not prepared for it. And why would they be, considering they'd have 5 mana in any other situation.

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

yeah, its better to hurt your mmr  instead for blizzard apparently

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

is like being hated to no end after the tavern pass was out, and being forced to change it and remove a lot of packs to replace them with gold in the trial didn't make them understand that people doesnt want their gold to be reduced

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

Reducing the amount of gold that people gains in order to reward specific packs its a terrible idea  always, at this point it should be obvious with all the Tarvern Pass hate and changes that blizzard had to say,  there is no more to say, spending eficiently is not an excuse to reduce it.  Blizzard already tried to remove some gold from players  and they got oblitherated, and here we are with this statement we only see  that the idea to do it isn't over yet, the game was expensive enough before.

And if i want to  buy  wild packs, i dont want  packs from a random expansion that the developers think i will have fun with, if i want the gold to open a lot of pack the next set, changing it for packs from the current expansion older, or the usless "year of the X" packs because they think i will have fun with, guess what will make me less willing to play the game cause its not what i want, and what at least in the past had the chance to do.

Edit: and that applies double for those who want to play Arena, and triple for the ones who want to play duels and are forced to have specific expansion cards, packs doesn't buy you an arena ticket, and packs from a random expansion that isn't the one you need only gives you a pathetic amount of dust to craft the cards you need o unlock treassures and hero powers

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

Well i know that mac and cheese bad for digestion but it is kinda tasty, but I don't eat it anymore because my trainer said that mixing cheese with carbs is a really bad idea and will not digest well at all

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #3 - New Classes, Champion Cards, New Achievements, Spell Tribals

I only mentioned warlock because in a previous AMA Iksar discussed attempts to change it back when HS was still being designed. I don't think it needs a rework at all.

Shaman's certainly has a lot of subtleties to it that could be tweaked without altering the core idea, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a small but meaningful change there.

Warrior's is an interesting one, because it is very deck dependent, in regards to both yours and your opponent's deck. That's true of all hero powers to some degree, but gaining armour is so 1-dimensional that it doesn't give you much scope to leverage it when one of the two players doesn't care about your life total. I'm not immediately against setting it to 1 mana and leaving it at 2 armour, but it would need a lot of playtesting (without the restriction of even decks) and I suspect it would push it too far. You could try 1 mana 1 armour but I think control warrior would prefer the original at that point.

Can anyone provide a list? I'm missing Nozdormu and both tip the scales and would be very hesitant to craft them, but I'd like to see how this thing works.

Edit: Found it (Murloc Version). Do you think this will get nerfed?

Its just my personal advice, but if you dont have all the cards don't bother crafting them. Not only are they rotating in about a month and a half, the deck suffers from serious consistency issues, far more so than druid, which basically it intends to ape.

Let's also not forget that Nozdormu grants the opponent 10 mana to play before you do, so on chances you face up against priest or mage, you're better off just playing the normal aggro murloc game. Yes its hilarious when you win with Alura or get a board full of clowns and your opponent happens to be aggro, but those are just moments against the many times you either don't draw the cards you need, or just die from aggro without playing a single card.

Again, just my opinion, but I think this deck is held up mainly by Alura+tip the scales on 4/5. Nozdormu on 4 will likely just end with you dying more often than not.

It won't be nerfed, for the same reason why druid still exist. The deck is nowhere near consistent enough and against value decks it might as well start praying.

Thanks for the advice, I am actually close to crafting it. I'm wondering if this wouldn't work in Wild as well, it reminds me a lot of the Darkest Hour deck before it got nerfed. But giving 10 mana to your opponent is probably an even worse idea in Wild
