Maybe the community should just give it chance its not even be implement for a week The community is going full nuke withou even knowing everything Also blizzard have no data its just a guess i am sure if they see that the average of the playerbase not gonna make at least the same amount of gold They gonna do something about that but to know that they need data
Traditionally, HS has a few annual events (here's a list)
The Lunar New Year, the Midsummer Fire festival, Hallow's End and the upcoming Winter's Veil are probably the events they're referring to, allowing them to add seasonal achievements hopefully for additional experience like their press statement says.
They may add additional experience achievements during the mid expansions, too. Notice how the Dark Moon Faire Achievements have space for one more achievement to unlock?
Anyway that's what I'm getting out of their statement.
Makes me wanna buy the bundles but I'm probably not going to - this game's still too expensive, yo
I hate bringing more negativity into a negative situation because negativity only feeds into more of it and we really, REALLY don't need more of that shit in gaming, but it all needed to be said here too.
Well replacing those packs with gold is nice. One of my conditions is satisfied
the event XP... I would need to see it to believe it
if events provide significant amount of XP then it is fine, but it has to be like 50k XP per event at least Well Winterveil is soon, will judge them at that time I suppose.
Oh, wow. Nobody could expect that they would be THAT generous! In the end we still end up with less gold anyway. Why do we need reward track if it will be 90% gold anyway?
I'm not gonna put away my pitchfork until we'll get at least as much gold and non-gold rewards as before.
This is indeed a step in the right direction, but I'm not satisfied at all: showing gratitude right now means settling for what we received, and I really don't want this to happen.
I'll never lose my good manners, but I'll always keep asking for better. Blizz is still far away from cleaning everything up.
I'm glad to see some changes are coming, and I'm happy in the fact that Blizzard are acknowledging and responding to some of the main criticisms mentioned by this community and a fair amount of streamers.
The pack change is great, glad they did that. However the "wait for events" reply to the backlash they got is... worrying. I for one don't trust them at all to just sit, wait and hope this time they'll do it right.
I don't see this as being a useful card. Anyone that wants some reach damage will have better burst options. Playing it not for lethal has too much of a penalty attached.
More had buff mechanics. If it doesn't hit your three or four drop, it will be a feels bad play. I don't think it carries enough stats of its own to make sense in an aggro style deck.
How many druid decks want to play a 4/4 minion on the turns that it will be before discounting this to a reasonable number? I don't see this as being very viable.
Three mana draw two is already a playable card. The option to draw four makes it even better. You can get acceptable value early to mid game and good value late game.
I guess it could come in handy late game to try and fish for something useful. The only problem is that the low cost card that you feel is good enough to swap for a random other card in your deck just became an option to top deck next turn.

Great. Hope they communicate properly in future.
New Neutral Minion - Knife Vendor
I don't see this as being a useful card. Anyone that wants some reach damage will have better burst options. Playing it not for lethal has too much of a penalty attached.
New Neutral Minion - Costumed Entertainer
More had buff mechanics. If it doesn't hit your three or four drop, it will be a feels bad play. I don't think it carries enough stats of its own to make sense in an aggro style deck.
New Warlock Minion - Midway Maniac
Annoying taunt to set up a turn three minion that you want to stick around. I don't know if it makes sense in most cases.
New Demon Hunter Weapon - Dreadlord's Bite
This is decent, but I think DH has better than decent options for weapons. This probably doesn't make the cut.
New Shaman Weapon - Whack-A-Gnoll Hammer
I guess this is a good weapon on a token/totem Shaman deck. Stats alone might make it worth playing.
New Druid Minion - Umbral Owl
How many druid decks want to play a 4/4 minion on the turns that it will be before discounting this to a reasonable number? I don't see this as being very viable.
New Demon Hunter Minion - Stiltstepper
Feels like a tough condition to meet. 4/1 on a turn when you hope to play a drawn card won't mean much on a board.
How much Gold is XP worth?
Yeah would also have been helpful if I'd have titled the graph. Ah well live and learn.
Added 2 other graphs reddit people's asked me to make.
New Demon Hunter Spell - Acrobatics
Three mana draw two is already a playable card. The option to draw four makes it even better. You can get acceptable value early to mid game and good value late game.
New Demon Hunter Spell - Relentless Pursuit
More DH attack buffs. Makes the OTK options for that new legendary even more viable.
