Honestly, I am only remiss that I crafted Lorekeeper Polkelt, Sphere of Sapience, and 2 Tortollan Pilgrims yesterday to make the deck. I love combo decks, but even I think that deck is close to the bubonic plague. The turtle will see play with highlander and big mage, but that will be the end of combos with it.
As for Guardian Animals, 1 mana difference with the mana ramping Druid won't be as impactful I think. Yes, it makes it much more difficult to yank a couple of potentially buffed minions out of your deck and throw them into your opponent's minion wall. However, if they wanted to make this more viable, they would have kept it at (7) mana and made it pull (4) cost or lower minions.
The turtle: good riddance. It takes something truly special to make me remember Shudderwock on day 1 of Witchwood and thank it for only making me wait 5 minutes for it to inevitably kill me.
Guardian Animals: I like the nerf, though I do wonder whether Twilight Runner isn't the bigger problem. I'm sure they designed that card specifically to be great with GA, so are reluctant to raise its mana cost, but it is really one of those cards where you have to think they were pushing a little too hard even when it isn't recruited with rush.
and 3 packs per week, new free battlegrounds content and another free Book of heroes chapter. But I quess you can always complain about something if you really want to.
I love both the nerfs, the nerf to turtle means that the combo is dead (not that i mind too much, to be honest) but the card still can be used as it always have been.
Guardian animals is one of those cards that are too important in a deck that there is a huge difference when you draw it and when you don't, i don't have any respect for this kind of cards.
I don't think that hunters are more penalized than druids for a nerf to a card that most of the time they don't even play, while for druid is the only important one card that enables some druid decks (which is stupid as it sounds); but dual class cards being mostly a one class cards is a common theme of this expansion
This is one of my main complaints since I started playing HS in 2016. Blizzard should allow us to see the whole card arts, some of them are really nice. But since we mostly see only a glimpse of a card... it sucks man. Just like here, it's a horseman, but we will not see it most often :(
I understand, during battle - card arts have to be small, I get it. But PLEASE give us a way, to see whole arts. During battle (in some way that does not interrupt gameplay) and in collection.
Some people just love watching card arts in details, those are piece of arts and effort from graphic developers...
we get a free run? thats insane!!! Blizzard is so generous...
Edit: guys i was making a reference to Blizzard not giving a free run at the Brawliseum. Ppl like to jump on the hate train without even considering if the comment was made as a joke to something.
Something that I would like to see with the Hero Skins is in the "face off" at the beginning of the match, you see the whole art. In this case, you would see Uther on the horse. With the Hero portrait, I can understand it only being the bust of the hero due to size constraints. But to not show the entire art work is a slight against the artist that put work into it for the community to enjoy.
I decided to let it stay a Mage Minion because of the Abilities. I also changed the Watermark to Scholomance because as suggested it fits the Card better.
I actually think the art looks really cool. Might also just be me getting quite bored of all the Paladin skins looking very similar (we don't talk about Sir Annoy-O). I'm probably going to get a ton of flame for this, but I don't mind not being able to see the horse in the skin. Did you know in the full art for Gul'Dan he's holding a sword and we can't see that either? I realise it's not quite the same, and I do agree that it would have been really cool to see the horse, but I think it looks good regardless.
Valor1204 - This card is better than the previous one, but it doesn't feel very Shaman-y to me.
Arkasaur - A neat idea, but I definitely think it can have more stats. It's hard to use the upside effectively.
FieselFitz - A fairly basic, but neat card. I think it'd be extremely good with the Scholomance watermark though. It fits the Spell Damage theme and the artwork to a tee.
Wailor - I somewhat prefer the Rare version because it's easier to balance, but the effect is good either way.
KingKuba - I see you've already submitted, but this is a really nice card.
Este - This is kinda cool. Ancestral Healing is a pretty bad card to put into your deck, but it's a lot better when it's generated by something decent.
RealJC1234TheToonist - I have no idea how you remember that username when you log in (lol). I see you've already submitted it, so there's nothing you can really do about it now, but I think the card could've been improvable. It doesn't have any impact on the board which is really weird for a Secret. Not entirely unprecedented since Hidden Cache exists, but it's still weird. Speaking of Hidden Cache, this card seems a bit too similar to that card and handbuffing did not exist in Classic, so I wouldn't be using the Classic watermark.
Nirast - I already voiced my thoughts in the staff section of the Discord, so I won't repeat myself here.
Anchorm4n - Polar Ursa Champion seems fine, although it feels more like a Common card than a Rare one to me. Polar Furbolg is a bit better. If this is intended to hypothetically replace Abominable Bowman, then remember to mention that in the description if you choose to submit this, or else you will probably receive penalties from people believing both would co-exist in the same set.
Bananenparty - Educate the Wild is a completely fair Hunter/Druid card, although neither Hunter nor Druid are classes that really utilize Spell Damage very well (except for Malygos in Druid). Trainee Archaeologist is a design I've made myself a few times for fun, so I quite like it. Follow the Frost is kinda neat in theory, but it feels very weird to use since it's either a worse Frost Nova that's easy to play around and prevents you from playing any minions, or it's a way to give your minions +2/+2 but then make them a complete non-threat and easy to ignore.
The early is really weak. Except for the 2/2 tavern 1, they all have weak stats. For exemple demon has 3/3 that respawn a 1/1 tavern 2. Elemental has 2/3 taunt that need to play a lot of elemental to be buffed... Mega windfurry is useless, minions always die after 2 shots. Wildfire elemental deal damage to only one adjacent minions, it should be like the dragon that deal damage until it doesnt kill someone.
The only viable thing I can think of, is to rush tavern 5/6. All T5/6 elementals seems strong. I just dont get the point of nomi. You buff all the game your elementals, why would you buff bob's minions until they get the same lvl of stats than yours? It's a loss of time, maybe its cool in a way of playing a lot of elemental and make sure your 7th minions wont be a 2/2 but a nicely buffed elemental, but its all for me. You dont want to sell a well buffed elemental in hope to take it back buffed a little more, your chance to get it again are really low.
I wonder if stasis elemental can get you a superior tavern minion ? If yes it could make element good because you have a chance to get a T5/6 elemental. If not i'm afraid elementals wont see too much play since it looks like a rush-high-tavern-to-start-playing.
That said, chenvalaa help elementals to rush tavern, it could see plays. Al akir is broken, i mean, divine shield on all the board, you play murloc poisonous and its done. It's like playing george but you dont have to pay for the divine shield. And the windfury could see strong play with the parrot in beasts...
Ragnaros the firelord seems weak for me and rakanishu you have too few impact until lategame, it wont be high tier i guess.
I like the idea behind elementals, i just hope the late game will be enough to support the weak start or it will need a buff.
EDIT: I played elementals and they are strong, ragnaros the hero is strong... I just called all the opposite of the reality, yeah !
Good luck with this week's contest everyone! I will skip this week as I don't want to participate to my own theme. The challenge of this week's theme comes from the limited availability of artwork that may require an extra mile of creativity. However, I have no doubt that you will come up with some brilliant card ideas once again! Good luck and have fun everyone! :)
Nah, I know you just want to let someone else win this time.
The Lil' Rag - does that add the stats, or set the stats? If I'm tier 4, will my 1/1 become 5/5 or 4/4 ?
It actually doesnt give boost on the tavern you are, but the tavern who the elemental you play is. So if you play an elemental tavern 2 it gives +2+2, if you play an elemental tavern 6 it gives +6+6 no matter the tavern you are.

I'm a little sad that they didn't go the route of "If you played an elemental last round" for Elementals. It would have made Elementals a very interesting playstyle (although I can see why it might not be the best mechanic for Battlegrounds). Even something like "If you didn't buy this card this round" would make Elementals a bit more unique. I just wish that they'd gone in a different design direction than just Buffs plus Card Generation.
I think its bad enough to have your chosen built be destroyed by mere rng, so that 'if you play an elemental last turn' idea is merely another way to have your life made more miserable by luck.
Also, in late game there's hardly any room to keep playing elementals. So either elementals be ridiculously powerful because they're usually 1 slot weaker than the others, or they become the next highroll tribe to be played only for memes and very good luck.
I'm ok with both nerfs, wasn't really looking for them, but both are fair enough. Neither type of deck was that oppressive, but I can see why they did both of them.
Having said that I definitely did not enjoy playing against turtle mage.
