I love this idea. I have almost all the cosmetic heroes they've released but I missed like two (Sylvanas and the warrior dude). I wouldn't mind getting those.
My hype has already pretty died out this week with all the waiting think they really should have teased at least small bits already.
At the time of your posting, they had already revealed 4 new cards and an amazing video (not the constellation one, the one with the star-crossed lovers).
I don't abuse the timer myself, but I actually love that it sends impatient people into fits of screaming baby-rage.
It's not that much time. If you simply cannot stand to wait through that timer, you deserve all the unhappiness you are causing yourself with your own impatience. That's right -- you are the one pissing you off, not the other person.
Remember: You can't control other people's actions. You can control how you react to them.
Nobody asked for this, but I'm just gonna list a few class cards from basic and classic I haven't seen played in constructed in a very, very long time because of how bad they are considering the newest sets or they just don't make sense anymore.
There are a lot of potential candidates in my opinion so I'm curious how they plan on solving this. I don't think all of these are necessarily unplayable, just that there are much better options to consider with each expansion or some archetypes have never received the required support to make certain cards work.
Aren't there already cards a bit like that? Random cards look different in hand than in play (eg Animal Companion). So as long as it is clear and consistent. You wouldn't it to be misleading (or would they?)
@Fluxflashor mentioned MTG - are there examples from other card games, that can be linked to?
Anyone who thinks they definitively know what the best deck is has no idea what they are talking about. All deck-tier lists for this game are educated guesses -- and what's worse, those guesses are strongly influenced by the listmaker's personal play style. What works well for that person may not work at all for you. And that doesn't even mean one style is better than another -- LoR is a game with room for many different "correct" ways to play.
That said, Swain + Twisted Fate is a very solid archetype. I've had a lot of success with it, and I find it troublesome to play against when I'm using some other deck.
Basic and classic set are mess right now. Half of card is used in almost any deck (specially class cards) and second half is useless or so damn boring and does nothing.
Ok maybe not exacly half/half cards but still Basic and Classic are very powerful or useless.
While it's ok to have less powerful common or rare cards when you look at legends they are deck defining or Useless.
On the subject of alternate art, I hope they make it an option so people who prefer to only see the original stuff could do so. I also suspect alternate art would have to be an option on mobile, to keep the download size smaller for people who don't have the storage available.
After taking a bit of time to test out the newer cards, there were a few that felt pretty decent. Channeled Force felt very strong, as being able to somewhat wheel our hand as well as removing a planeswalker is very good in the deck, Two other cards that I spent a decent amount of time testing out were Niambi, Esteemed Speaker and Chevill, Bane of Monsters. Niambi is pretty neat as she lets us play Niv again without having him die and then pay an additional 2 mana for commander tax. Chevill on the other hand is occasionally overkill, but I've felt that it does a fairly solid job at making sure we don't run out of gas when we cannot rely on Niv to draw 3-5 cards. Oh and cultivate, card is solid and is essentially just better Circuitous Route for our deck.
For the changes, I'd probably do...
+Channeled Force
+Chevill/Niambi (both essentially do the same in the long run, I'd go with whichever you already have/want to play)
Overall, as others have said, taking a break always works for me. But to your specific points:
1. The meta shifts drastically at least once a month. I don't know what more you expect. Anyway, it's about to shift even more drastically, so just take a break until the end of August and all will be well.
2. If you truly believe "made hand scenario" is a thing, you could always try to come up with a counter for such predictable plays.
3. Make friends who agree to play off-meta decks. Play Expeditions. Play Labs.
4. In a world where nearly every other CCG in existence takes loads of crap for being too expensive to play, you cannot seriously be complaining about having all the cards. I'm not even going to dignify this one with advice.
5. This one is pure projection. You have no idea what your opponent is feeling. The solution is to stop assuming you know what's going on in other people's heads.
6. This is just another version of items 1 and 3, and the solutions are the same.
As the old saying goes, "Only boring people get bored." If you can't figure out a way to have fun in this game, play something else for a while. You can rest assured LoR will be significantly different when you come back.
I don't have a problem with it, but I figure some folks might, especially casual players. Hearthstone always stood out to me because of its vibrant art and oftentimes I recognize cards just by glancing at the art, without the need to re-read the card text to make sure. Introducing different artworks for the same cards might introduce some confusion there and generally slow down gameplay, which is why I'm not sure how to feel about this idea.
Comparing this to Plaza Guardian is understandable, but you have to remember that Overwhelm is about a million times better than Quick Attack in the endgame, when you're more often trying to deal lethal, not just fight for the board.
Anyway, there are plenty of decks already in existence that would have this costing less than 5 in short order. Targon doesn't need to bring more to the table in order to make this good, but I'm sure it will anyway.

So you do not need to buy preorders anymore? They will sell the hero skins in shop?
New Tales of Runeterra For Targon Introduces Some Friendly Faces
I don't know much about Runeterra lore so I've been trying to read up. As near as I can tell after a half-hour of Googling:
Solari
Lunari

#NewRogueHeroWaitingRoom
In all seriousness, how does rogue only have 2?! The same as DH, which was just released!

Hearthstone card search needs a filter for standard
This has been a thing for a while now with the latest change to the card search page. Marking as Resolved.

Druid: Savagery, Keeper of the Grove, Ancient of Lore, Ancient of War
Hunter: Starving Buzzard
Mage: Ethereal Arcanist
Paladin: Hand of Protection, Humility, Light's Justice
Priest: Lightwell, Lightspawn, Mindgames
Rogue: Patient Assassin, Headcrack, Perdition's Blade, Master of Disguise, Kidnapper
Shaman: Dust Devil, Forked Lightning
Warlock: Corruption, Drain Life, Blood Imp, Felguard, Void Terror, Pit Lord, Bane of Doom
Warrior: Charge, Warsong Commander, Arathi Weaponsmith

Not at this time, sorry, but hopefully in the future once we find someone to do it.
New Targon Card - Arbiter of the Peak
Noxus might be the way to go as a combination. Transfusion and brother's bond should both count twice, plus draven and Kato.

Sorry, but I couldn't care less about vanity cards. But if that will bring more players to the game, so be it.

Malygos, Ysera, Alexstrasza, Edwin VanCleef are outstanding.
Poor Millhouse Manastorm or The Beast are useless.
This is good news. Only downside is we have to wait so long.

I wonder if this is the team's way to make a set of Classic cards for Demon Hunter, since with next rotation the initiate cards will rotate to wild?
