  • SA Arena rotation?

I think it is simply that old decks are still legal (i.e. you could still make the same deck with the SA card pool), so there was no need to reset them.

  • SA Arena rotation?

Same here. So far I don't find anything about this. But I'll not wait, little to no loss.

I start to worrying a lil bit about the future of the Arena.

    Pro

A friend of mine is playing Quest Soul Fragment Warlock with Rafaam as a late game thread. Looks pretty strong, the Fragment cards make for a good early game.

Can anyone say if sphere is any good?

  • Hadidjah Leaves a Goodbye Easter Egg in the Scholomance Academy Pack Opening Animation

    why did she left hs?

  • Day 1: What works and what doesn't?

I've been playing a tempo buff Priest, mainly feeding on the ramp druids. On a good curve it feels unbeatable. So far, Devout Pupil and Gift of Luminance are feeling like I massively underrated them.

Devout Pupil due to it being able to be discounted, which then allows you to Grave Rune and Gift of Luminance/Psyche Split on the same turn, creating a really stubborn wall. Gift of Luminance because there are so many good targets for it, Sethekk Veilweaver, Alura and Dragonmaw Overseer being the best targets

  • Pack opening story and analysis

Rattlegore for logging in, Alabaster in the first 4 packs and then only Speaker Gidra after 43 packs opened.

Still missing 20 rares at this point (I ended up craftin Voracious Reader because I don't have time to wait for that many packs)

  • Pack opening story and analysis

I play on all 3 regions, and usually get a good opening, and ok one, and a below average.

This time I'd say all 3 were below average.

    NAScholomance AcademyP 72E 15L 3LE 0LL 26
    EUScholomance AcademyP 78E 17L 4LE 0LL 34
    ASIAScholomance AcademyP 73E 16L 3LE 1LL 21

    P = Packs

    E = epics

    L = Legendaries

LE/LL = how many packs ago that rarity was opened.

So if we discount the 3 legendaries here that are guaranteed in first 10 packs, and remove 5 packs from the total of each region as an average, I opened 208 packs and got 7 legendaries for an 29.71 average - way higher than the 20 pack average.

Of course given I'm way into the pity timer on each region (26,34,21) I'll continue opening them when possible for the next legendary and the average will drop.  It will still be below average though for all 3 regions.

And to be fair epics were slightly above average.

Though in summary it felt  like this:

i.e. pack after pack with no legendary

  • Day 1: What works and what doesn't?

High Abbess Alura looks busted. I'm trying out this Aggro Paladin, and playing Alura + First Day of School on turn 4 is often a game-deciding play. Even if you just hit her with a Hand of A'dal, she'll still balloon into a 5/8. The dream is to hit her with Blessing of Authority, and most opponents won't be able to deal with an 11/15 on turn 4 or 5 lol.

  • SA Arena rotation?

    Hi there

Usually I leave my arena runs on 2 losses for a free ticket for expansion launch, but this time that hasn't happened.

Did they decide to add SA to arena but not reset the arena runs?

I could easily have missed this already being announced or discussed - apologies if so.

  • Got 2k gold. Just wondering how to spend it.

I will never waste gold or money on the BG pass ever again, considering it's only temporary and you have to keep buying it every time a new expansion comes out. I only realized this after I spent 1250 gold buying the pass, thinking it was a permanent perk. Still mad coz I could have used that gold for SA packs which i desperately need right now :(

  • Pack opening story and analysis

I opened 102 so far, bought from gold. 10 to come with quests and my last 600 gold.

I had my first common twice in the first pack, my first rare twice in pack 5. The last all new pack was #10.*edited. I meant both copies of a card.

I finished commons with the 28th pack, rares in 62.

With 20 epics I'm completIy average here. got all priest ones double, and one of each paladin and hunter.

I got 7 legendaries + a free Mozaki, Master Duelist. This is way above average, specificly I'm in the luckiest 14% percent here. The longest stretch between was 38 packs, and once I had two legendaries in back-to-back packs. Ras Frostwhisper,Infiltrator Lilian,Vectus, Ace Hunter Kreen, Sphere of Sapience ,Speaker Gidraand Instructor Fireheart. I'm quite happy with those, since I like to play hunter and rogue, and, if it is viable, I also have everything for a spelldamage deck.

I got 5 golden common, 3 golden rare, and 1 golden epic.-slightly below average, but who cares.

Who are these people and why are they so angry?

I lost a game yesterday against a murloc shaman. Turn eight i coin out Voidlord, finally hoping to stabilize against their board at 9 health. They topdeck devolve, i get the worst possible 8 drop Captain Hooktusk, they hit me in the face, at this point i have 4 health, i have plenty of healing in my deck due to two Aranasi Broodmothers and the 8+ soul shards i have shuffled in there through the course of the game trying to stay ahead of an insane Underbelly Angler turn, and i still haven't played Bloodreaver Gul'dan yet, since it's still in my last 10 cards of my deck. "It's fine i have another Voidlord" i think, i play it. They topdeck their second devolve, hit me in the face again and i die.

  • Got 2k gold. Just wondering how to spend it.

GA is probably the best because, while it’s not the most amazing, it does still give some cards that are worth it for competitive use and casual play.

With 6.3k though in battlegrounds, I’m pretty sure you’re above average still. Altogether though, I can’t say how much enjoyment you’d actually get out of the pass, since it’s mostly for competitive use as far as I know

  • Anti-aggro Cabal Priest

I have had a lot of success with deck I hit diamond from silver today with this deck with barely any losses.

I posted this deck on my hearthpwn account as well with a more detailed description but no mulligan guide or anything as of yet.

    Hope you enjoy

Reminder that the only way to easily beat the rez mechanic in wild is to play a meme deck that only works against them:

And nothing else. Convincing infiltrator has gone on long enough, and the only reason people defend this shit and the rez mechanic as a whole is because they play it themselves. No deck should be as autopilotted as this one. Aviana was nerfed to 10 mana because of this where you can just autopilot until turn ten while drawing your entire deck and just win. Priest is the same way. With more and more spells for aggro priest, and with more and more rez effects for resummoning convincing ilfiltrator, i ask yet again. When will it be enough for blizzard to nerf this mechanic.

  • Day 1: What works and what doesn't?

Tried some tempo stealth secret passage  rogue, and as soon as I left casual after steamrolling three opponents, I lost the next 3 games due to bad starts and no comeback options.

Then tried some spelldamage mage, but I never had enough spells- although I once had 8spelldamage.

Questhunter is to slow in this meta, you lose too fast, I could never-in 6 games- use my finished quest.

But tempo priest seems to be finally strong enough, a lot of resurrection, copys, buffs, lost every game against them. Frazzled Freshman,Psyche Split, Grave Rune, Devout Pupil,Apotheosis and Dragonmaw Overseer form a strong package, especially with a good start.

Now I'll try highlander hunter and highlander paladin.

  • New Demon Hunter & Hunter Weapon - Trueaim Crescent

I have just realized that the forced attack from [Hearthstone Card (lunar crescent) Not Found] is free: this means the minion can still attack normally afterwards, if it survives ofc.

Basically a minor version of windfury, board-wide.

Or, otherwise said, a reverse Warglaives of Azzinoth.

Faced it in combo with Ace Hunter Kreen is basically game over. While I knew of Kreen already, I didn't realize Crescent is a HUGE comeback tool.

Thank you Blizzard for another expansion of DH making any other Tempo deck look silly in both Standard and Wild...

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

Have always hated aggro, hate face decks. Hated DH.

    This new meta is awful.

Even though these decks are successful, I've rarely played them. No-brain decks are not fun to play, nor are they fun to face.

    Hoping for hard nerfs.

  • Day 1: What works and what doesn't?

Beast Druid, Spell Druid, or a combination of both are frustrating to play against.  Lightning Bloom is disgustingly strong in Druid.

I usually play Rogue, but I got Turalyon, the Tenured in a pack and have been playing Big/Duel Paladin since. It's 50/50 so far, but really fun to play. I tried tinkering with Spell Damage Shaman using Lady Vashj, Lightning Bloom, Diligent Notetaker, etc. to make a OTK combo, but haven't successfully pulled off one yet.

  • Day 1: What works and what doesn't?

Big Warrior is really fun while still being highly effective on ladder. It beats Warlock since Warlocks don’t know when to stop drawing cards, Druids are hit and miss depending on who gets a good board faster, and everything else has been easy

  • Day 1: What works and what doesn't?

Trying spell mage with quest not reno looking what i face. It´s 50:50 so nothing too special but cool to play for me now. Ramp druids are disgusting and we all know that mana cheat/ramp was always bonkers and got nerved .... why bringing it back. Highroll was never fun and stable (crazy) ramp was always bad and landed S tier.

  • Hadidjah Leaves a Goodbye Easter Egg in the Scholomance Academy Pack Opening Animation

No. The first instance was "Well played!".

Close, but I'd actually say it was "Sorry", became so oppressive they had to remove it.

  • New Demon Hunter & Hunter Weapon - Trueaim Crescent

So I got it from a pack and wanted to confirm: The attack order is from your oldest minion to newest. This means that the Ace Hunter Kreen synergy is much better than we thought since if you play him just before attacking, he will attack last and therefore not attack at all most of the time.

  • Day 1: What works and what doesn't?

    Quote From sense124

For those who cared about wild, Odd Rogue is absolutely insane. I grinded from bronze 20 to legend today. Cutting Class, Vulpera Toxinblade, Secret Passage, Tour Guide, and Jandice Barov are all incredibly insane additions that shot this deck right back up to tier 1.

I thought so. Might share your list?
