This card can totally lock you out of a game.. Just like despicable dreadlord locked out odd paladin.. You get some spells damage and you could basically win against aggro.
The problem is not - how are we gonna meet the condition and get the sweet heal. The problem is - are we gonna have a free slot to include this one? I think if not now, then by the time next rotation hits this will find a place in some deck for sure.
Why not? Seems like a strong card.. Maybe make a new deck..
Shaman desperately needed good healing and now they have it (so they can now actually play control again)
In Druid it might give Quest Druid a boost ...and any kind of slow Druid that isn't purely Spell based (which is great because Glowfly Swarm can eat a dick)
Groundskeeper is exactly what control Galakrond Shaman needed. Honestly, the class is actually fine, but it just doesn't have any efficient healing. Walking Fountain is too slow and Witch's Brew is way too clunky.
This solves all problems: You can heal early, you develop the board and it has taunt. It'S perfect.
We've got more than half the cards left to see in this expansion. Who knows what could happen once the expansion releases; maybe Discard Warlock makes a comeback, maybe Control Priest becomes meta and DH can't play Glide. It's too early to decide what the meta will be.
I just think this deck would apply a lot of pressure with the non stop waves of 4/4 lackeys but I could be wrong.
Getting the 4/4 lackeys takes time and luck of the draw to set up, at least that's my experience in past efforts. Some of the new tools might make it a little easier, but I'm still not sold on this idea just yet. We'll see how things go once the set is out and everyone can play with the new toys.
Pretty sure the idea is that its because its galakrond which summons the elementals not the card. The card's effect is to invoke, not summon.
If you look in the history tab, it will show the elemental being spawned by Galakrond's Fury, ergo not the card itself. Its actually funny how that's the interaction team5 went with.
It should work with the 8/8s from galakrond itself though, but Ive never got lucky enough to try it.
Excellent piece on the history of orcs. Now we know why there weren't any racism in orcish cultures, their skin color just never stick. (correct me if Im wrong, but the standard brown orcs like Garrosh are generally discriminated, no?)
Can you also elaborate on how jaraxxus turned mecha? I always assumed it was just a hearthstone thing.
We haven't even seen half of all the cards yet, so its perhaps a little premature to go with zoo.
But just to make a few observations on your deck;
Gandling and tekahn in the same deck? A little too heavy, dont you think so? Also, vectus and erkh as well? Seems a little less like zoo than midrange lackey deck.
Your deck only has Nightshade Matron as the only activator for Hand of Gul'dan, and with Sea Giant in the deck, while there not being many cheap minions, means half the time you'll be discarding giant or worse still, have no chance of playing matron since your hand is already full of stuff.
Also, with not a lot of cheap stuff, and having little to no rush minions aside from matron Imprisoned Scrap Imp is virtually useless.
I'd go full zoo, remove vectus, and erkh. Replace with Magic Carpet, and the usual suspects of 1 drops. Also add Soulfire and Expired Merchant so Hand of Gul'dan actually gets discarded more often than not.
As for gandling, I'm a little convinced that he can only feature in a deck without imprisoned scrap imp and carpet, but maybe the 4 eggs are good enough reason to play him anyway. But tekahn is still probably the man for the job here. The lackeys can still be good under gandling, but magic carpet wont work with him.
A card stronger than a card that sees no play is not powercreep
Well, if the card had never seen widespread use at some point in its lifespan, this would be a true a statement. Chillwind Yeti was constructed playable for a decent part of Hearthstone's history, but has been overshadowed at 4 mana for years due to natural power creep that exists in all card games. So is Groundskeeper power creep? Yes. Is it as insane as OP made it out to be? No, not for this stage in Hearthstone's life. Something like this should be expected for the current power level of the 4 mana cards in the game even though Groundskeeper is on the strong side.

Better Dreadlord so I guess it will be a staple regardless of how reliably you can combo it with spell damage

Yeah, strange, but that must be the explanation.

The game is fiesta, so I went full fiesta, too. :D
Playing Gala Evolve Shaman and losing to most aggro (especially Paladin), but oh boy, do those funny high-rolls completely obliterate Priests! :)
After I spawned Khadgar, why my Invocation of Frost and Devoted Maniac didn't summon additional 2/1 Elementals?
