  • Archetype cards you wish they would add to LoR.

    Quote From Hellcopter

We have a few cards that can use the Graveyard:
The Harrowing, Kalista, The Rekindler, Mist's Call

Allowing too much use of the Graveyard as resourse is a dangerous move.
Modern Yu-Gi-Oh! is the best example as it uses the Graveyard all the time for plays and look how bad their metagame became.

Also keep in mind Runeterra has the spellmana system. That could allow some degenerate power plays. Example: not playing anything on T1/T2 to store 3 spell mana; then play Get Excited! to discard a big unit; ressurect it with an effect similar to Mist's Call and attack RIGHT AWAY as this game don't have summoning sickness.

Do any of those cards work on discarded cards? Really do want to know. Because that would make them a ton better.

  • Brawl Haul - Stampeding Over our Opponents with Sethron, Hurloon General

Oooo, was trying to figure out what you could do with jumpstart cards!  Generals is cool.  I got the devil that causes players random draws and discards.  That could be fun.

  • Newish player question:

Been playing LoR for a bit over a month and have farmed a good portion of the cards but I have to ask: Is there a chance they will nerf some of the mechanics that make this game toxic for newbies at some point?  I dont mind getting facerushed or burn-spelled to death, but when I consistently come up against 3-4 recall/stun, deep, unyielding spirit and Heimer decks in every category of play ( Even casual and the tail end of gauntlet) it makes me want to uninstall and go back to some other TCG...  Is there hope or should I just quit while I have fond memories?  Even the pillage mechanic everyone seems to hate isnt as bad as the previous stuff, at least you can counter it with a strong board.

Some Vets pls chime in. I want to like LoR but... I quit Hearthstone for the same reason, only 3-4 decks can compete and I don't own all the cards.

  • Question about Ashe.

    Quote From Vincent3383

So why does Ashe walk around half naked? -_-

League of Legends is a moba game that originated from Dota 1.
In Dota 1 there was a champion named "Drow Ranger" that was inspired on Blizzard's Sylvanas Windrunner:

    Show Spoiler

Drow Ranger was one of the most popular picks in Dota 1 days.
Riot made Ashe's kit and design very similar to hers:

You can add now any explanation you want to fit the lore, but that is the true origin of Ashe's design.

  • New Druid/Shaman Spell - Lightning Bloom

Great to combo with the Shaman return a spell to your hand guy. Lots of mana early on, but that overload is gonna hurt.

  • New Shaman/Mage Spell - Devolving Missiles

    Pro

This is my question indeed. It ought to, as the transformed minions should be there right away.

  • New Hunter/Druid Minion - Shan'do Wildclaw

    Pro

I can see both Druid and Hunter doing some nasty business with this guy. And really, just the copy ability. Buffs are buffs, but copying a potentially huge beastie is something else entirely.

Nice card. Is it just me, or does everything so far look just okay? I haven't seen anything I think is terrible or busted.

His justification was incorrect... card doesn't qualify to cross out that box. Period.

I keep telling you that you're right, i don't know why you keep replying.

Just sinked all my gold on jumpstart, time to rebuild a little and get those.

The only reason I ever opened a tournament stream was for twitch drops. And I never actually watched the stream.

  • Question about Ashe.

    Quote From CursedParrot

It’s a holdover from LoL’s early days. LoL was initially just a collection of various stereotypes, which is why a lot of the old champions seem kind of boring in design. When Ashe was created she was just meant to be “sexy frost archer”, and her lore was created afterwards to fit her design. She hasn’t had a major redesign since then, so she still looks like the basic “sexy frost archer”.

A lore justification would be that Ashe is a descendant of the Iceborn, and so doesn’t feel cold.

Beside this, an "actual explanation", who is a 100% conforming, is the thing that Ashe, Braum and Tryndamere are Avarosan, who are the tribe who lives most to the south of the Freljord, who is the less colder zone of the Freljord, but that isn't a full answer and its vague, cuz the Freljord is the Freljord, is a omage a to the nordic lands and his people and... generally here, is very cold

    Sorry for the bad english

Does it technically count as card generation though? If it was phrased instead as "Give your next spell twinspell", or "Your next spell does not leave your hand" it would have the same effect but you would not consider it card generation. I would personally treat it more like Headcrack or Anub'arak than anything else, which I consider to be the same card rather than being generated each time (even if in the code it might be the latter).

The thing is, you're still generating a resource. Even if it is the same resource you had before, being able to use it again is an additional new resource.

    What is it inconsistent with?

Itself... You put it in your deck, but each game does a different thing (because probably you'll be on a different game board), you can't rely on what you'll get. But it's already on the bingo card anyway.

  • JumpStart is Now Live on MTG Arena - Here's Everything You Need to Know

You get to keep all the cards from the previous selections, even if you resign.

  • Aggro: Secret Rogue

Hey, thanks for checking out the deck! I tried to make this deck as aggressive as I could. Hopefully future updates will make it more viable. Shadowstep certainly adds a lot of value and could help you keep up pressure in the mid to late game through all the secrets you would get, however, the goal with this build is just to finish off your opponent quickly. I'll have to try a more midrange version of this with shadowstep though, sounds like fun!

    Hey hueuebi!

The best thing one can do to get their feet wet is to share their decks on the site and write guides for them. It is a very easy way to showcase knowledge of the game(s) and is the first thing we look at when we put out applications or people contact us.

  • Control: N'zoth Shaman

Hello! Thanks for checking out the decks, i'm glad you liked them. I play test all of my decks in order to make sure they're as good as they can be. Some of them only a few times though since there's so many of them. Shudderwock would be pointless against aggro decks, once you play N'zoth you already won. As for adding him against control decks, that wouldn't be a bad idea, I would also remove some of the healing and add bigger threats. Let me know how it works out for you, i'm sure it'll be fun since it's such a strong card.

  • Custom Class - Aisha, the Alraune (WIP)

Knights of the Frozen Throne is now complete! As with everything, the balance and whatnot is up for debate, and I'll come back and work on them some more after I take a day off; see how I feel about them.

Next up is Kobolds & Catacombs...a set I haven't even begun to think about lol. Kind of like Rastakhan's Rumble; a hurdle I'll have to overcome eventually.

Edit: July 18, 2020: Rearranged some stuff in KFT...and I officially give up on the set. I spent way too long trying to make Abominable Treeman unique *and* fit within a very narrow window of themes. We're movin' on!

  • New Shaman Minion - Diligent Notetaker

    this dude is pretty good.

if aggro shaman is a thing it's a bootleg electra or just a river croc with an upside on 2.

shaman has a lot of good spells you might be interested in copying with this.
