I was the one that started this thread, and that was largely do to the issue of value denial. It was less that a card gets stolen, and more that the card stolen denied you the potential to draw it. Not to mention that stupid things like stealing Ashe's arrow was possible, or buffed units, or yetis. So yes, nab is far better than yoink and we even see the deck it was in go down to tier 2.
Yeah I kind of raised this point where decks that revolve around a single champion without an adequate way to tutor them out are fundamentally broken.
Now I think the idea is you use deep meditation, stattick shock, and shadow assassin to draw enough to increase your chances of hitting heimer. So you need to control out the game for as long as it takes for that to happen.
This would problably be a very low priority feature, but while writing a thread on the Mythgard forum, I linked to something that won't happen for another 15-20 hours. I was thinking it would be cool to have some sort of text box, simmilar to the image and url ones, where you introduce a date and time (maybe even with the possibility of picking a time-zone), and there'd be a countdown telling you how many hours are left until the event happens. I doesn't even need to update itself constantly, only when you refresh the page.
This would also work amazingly with the calendar that was mentioned in another thread, if either ever get implemented.
Well, this forum is pretty much dead. Time to do like a Priest and revive it! The expansion is FINALLY coming, and I'm going to use this thread here to post the schedule for any spoilers I come across.
New Mechanic - Forge: "if you've burned a copy of this card this game, gain this effect". Read more here.
Kazakus is exclusive to mage priest and warlock. He's the tri-class legendary from mean streets. Demon hunter wasn't around so he doesn't get access to any tri class cards.
Kazakus is from the MSoG expansion and is part of the tri-class-card mechanic. Tri-class divides into three groups Goons, Cabal or Jade Lotus. Kazakus belongs to Cabal and are only for Priest, Mage or Warlock.
My go-to fun deck is Reno Demon Hunter at the moment. I net decked the list and didn't pay much attention to it, but today I noticed that Kazakus is missing from the usual Highlander package. So I tried to add him and... I couldn't. While the deck list is open, the card isn't shown in my collection, no matter what I do. Has anyone else encountered this?
I don't understand. I heard a few streamers say that. But the deck sucks. It completely revolves around you getting Heimer. If you don't get Heimer you lose. Plain and simple. Vi only protects him that's it. How is that the best deck in the game?
It is definitely worth buying drafts. Yes if you screw up you could waste gold, but if you learn how to get good at draft you can earn a ton of extra gold and gems.
If you "rare draft" (pick all the rares you see) you will get a decent amount of value from your pick phase (usually between 5 and 7 rares/mythics). It may be hard for you then, but as Limited is the best way to enhance your collection in Arena, you'll have to learn to play draft. So I would say that learning it with a discount is never a bad deal.
I think Nab would be fine if it was simply underpowered and something you only see occasionally as a meme deck. Playing 1 game out of a hundred where your opponent Nabs something important and wins with it can be an interesting and fun moment, like when you get killed by an Elnuk deck that drops a 3/3 and 3 4/5s on turn 5. But when it’s 1 out of every 4 games that you lose due to Nabbed cards, it starts to feel unfair and unfun. I think if Pilfered Goods were simply moved to 3 Mana the Nab package would be a fun meme deck, like Elnuks, instead of an auto include package in every Bilgewater deck.
The trailer will probably be closer to mid July if it's releasing in August. I feel the single player adventure launched quite late? The virus could have a knock on effect *shrug*.
I was actually thinking about this the other day, and the expansion did seem a bit late, but I think they wanted to tie it in with the Felfire Festival. I would expect an announcement within a week of the Festival end.
Another thing I was thinking of earlier, I believe the new game mode should be released sometime during the next expansion cycle. And I personally felt like the solo content this time was a bit "meh!" Also, no arena rotation mid-expansion this time. So clearly they are putting more focus on the new game mode, which means they are likely waiting as long as possible to put their marketing messaging out there so they can give us an update on the status of the new mode.
The buff to braum has only cemented the place of this region at top of the pile since patch 1.3, and while its true the power mostly lies in the champions, it turns out thats kind of a big deal. Also the changes to yoink made buffing your deck, and yetis inherently better. Also has some of the best combat tricks in the game.
Tier 2 - Noxious
What really impressed me with this region in the new season is deck diversity. Sure we see aggro nox decks of various varieties everywhere, but we also have allegiance just starting to be a thing with the buffed bassalisk rider, we have its pairings with frejord in midrange builds, you can even run it with shadow with a longer endgame plan
Tier 3 - Shadow Isles
Shadow is always the best anti aggro region with withering wail being a pretty obvious mvp control card. The champions are solid offering a variety of deck builds, and keeper is still the best 2 drop in the game despite the nerfs. Deep is still solid, with only ephemeral still being in need of a little work.
Tier 4 - Bilgewater
The yoink nerf hit this region hard, you no longer need to fear MF tempo decks like the plague, but that just gives room for gangplank and TF to shine in control builds. Kegs have received consistent buffs and is in a healthy and solid position, the perfect slightly above average region.
Tier 5 - Ionia
Provides elusives, counterspells, bounces, and stuns, and great card advantage tools. While there might not be anything about ionia that really strikes you as OP anymore in the champion department, it turns out just being solid is good enough. Ionia struggles against aggro a bit, but punishes midrange so its placement on the tier list will always be moving up and down as the meta changes.
Tier 6 - P And Z
I absolutely love this region, but beyond the very limited applications in burn aggro, and Heimer Vi it's truly underrepresented at the moment. Its top end options could use a few buffs cementing its placement as a control region, with the likes of Corina, celebration day, and that 7 mana multishot removal spell.
Tier 7 - Demacia
Not only have they suffered nerfs to their flagship midrange bannerman deck with the likes of badger bear and grizzled ranger falling from grace. But the real bullet to the head, was changing their indestructible spell from burst to fast speed, which hurt lux in a big way. There isn't a lot of reason to run this region other than single combat which is the most efficient removal spell in the game.
Conclusion - Expect these rankings to change with future balance changes and expansions, legends of runterra is a well designed game and the difference between a top tier region and low tier region is just a numbers tweak away.
It's impossible to have fun by losing most of the time. Johnny himself is confirming this by whining on netdeckers all the time.
1- ALL top tier decks were Johnny decks at some point; 2- A lot of people have fun on pulling some weird combo or playing certain cards, even if those only work less then 50% of the time; (Yasuo/Teemo decks before it was meta); 3- The concepts are not cut and dry.
I am mostly a Johnny myself with a Spike side that requires the deck i craft meet at least 51% winrate for me to play it. I have a lot of fun finding stuff no one else though it could be competitive viable and see how far i can get with it. For example, take my Spider token deck, which was later called: "Endure Spiders". Its no exageration to say i am the father of this deck, as i was literally the first guy to discover and pilot it to very high ranks in a time NO ONE even knew that concept could be competitve. It wasn't listed on Mobalytic or any other site. It was only me alone, playing the deck, and very often most adversaries had no idea what they were facing until it was too late. It was a TON of fun for me. Then after some time, the deck shows up on Mobalytics as a tier B deck, having a somewhat unrefined list. At this point someone playing against me could say i was netdecking, EVEN IF I AM PLAYING MY OWN CREATION. Nowadays the deck is popular and optimized enough to the point it surpasses even my list.
What i am playing right now is another Johnny deck: EZ/TF/R.I.Ptide. The deck is actually doing very well (i say it falls somewhere around tier A<->S) and was crafted with the help of many users in this very forum. I would not be surprised if that deck concept appears someday on the radar as a possible strong netdeck option, just as Endure Spiders did.

Done, thanks!
3 feature requests for searching cards
Thank you!
how is that possible?
wow thanks mate! really thought ppl are able to cheat ... thanks again
how is that possible?
I can think about only one logical line:
Warden's Prey -> Mageseeker Conservator(3 or less last breath unit) -> Harsh Winds (6+ mana spell none demacian spells)
how is that possible?
i was playing with freljord/SI deck vs nox/SI player in unranked, when he used Harsh Winds on me to win the game ?!
He had no card steal options and I dont even have Harsh Winds in my EndureSpider deck.
How the hell he can use the freljord card ??? Cheating? or did I miss something?

Has Yoink Gone Too Far?
That's some interesting math there. 9/40 equals one-third, somehow. And then, in the next sentence, one-third becomes guaranteed 100% multiples. Nice.
