I gotta say I like the idea of [Hearthstone Card (sonic speed) Not Found], although I would have liked to see the art be a blue troll doing a front flip
I like seeing how their tech slightly changes. I also like seeing that their tech is specific for their environment but it bleeds into the community of gamers thoroughly.
For what it's worth, if you watch Swim's Youtube channel on the meta tier list each week, you'll see that the way he arranges decks by tier level is highly data driven (he has access to Mobalytics statistics) including win rate, number of games played etc.
I'm not trying to impugn Swim's credibility here, I just think Mobalytics should build those lists based on data which is itself transparent, and their methodologies should be clearly explained on the page, rather than just leaving it up to one or two streamers to interpret the data however they see fit. I shouldn't have to go watch YouTube videos to figure out how these deck lists are being picked, especially when there may well be variance in similar lists for teching purposes.

Yes the Dual Lands and now Tri lands are required for the S tier control decks. Takes a while to collect them for free, however if you pick a house that you like you can collect those lands and focus on them.
I dont think that you know if you are going to win on turn 2 or 3 honestly. That is mainly if you are playing aggro decks like mono red or green stompy. Greedy decks are currently on a good place since there is a lot of control tools. That makes it hard to get into the game for f2p players. However you can craft the cycle deck that runs all commons and un-common cards quickly. That deck can farm in event standard for a lot of gold.
Eh, maybe. As the first balance patch since the full release, it will certainly be interesting. But I'm very cautiously optimistic about the impact it will have.
Back in patch 0.9.2 they talked about Elise, Frenzied Skitterer, Glimpse Beyond, and Shadow Assassin on the watch list. Of those cards, the only one to see any changes in 0.9.4 was Frenzied Skitterer, and the change was fairly minor. Mind you, that drop in health it got was non-trivial, and I think it coincided with a significant increase in P&Z prevalence in the metagame. But if Shadow Isles and Ionia are the consistent "S Tier" regions in the game, P&Z has never been any lower than "A Tier." This change meant an increased valuation for P&Z, bringing it up to "S Tier," but it still left a lot of the weaker regions out in the cold.
Meanwhile, Shadow Assassin remains a 3-of in any deck that runs Ionia, Glimpse Beyond is a 2-of or 3-of in just about every Shadow Isles deck (with exceptions for Maokai decks, which toss so much they don't want the additional card draw), and Elise is such a powerful early game card that she warps a lot of the meta game around her. It's no coincidence that right now on Mobalytics, the S Tier decks all feature P&Z* - it's the region capable of consistently dealing with Elise (and really any early game snowball champ) before she becomes a problem.
*Technically Bannerman + Vi is one of those S-Tier decks, and they run basically no P&Z cards, but get by with strong early game curve into buffs to answer Elise.
Really? Granted, I've been playing mostly unranked games, but I'm seeing almost constant Noxus+P&Z burn and Demacia Bannerman--very few control decks in sight.
Same in ranked.
While Noxus+P&Z is the deck i face the most and banner in second, meisterz39 is right about Ionia/SI being a bit stronger then others. With the exception of exactly those 2, all other top 10 meta decks run either Ionia or SI.
I'm Diamond already, I think this month I'm in the right track! I'm not completely F2P tho, I usually spend 20 € per expansion and I purchase some bundles with good value. It would be a feat for me anyway!
Well I don't want to imply that f2p is better than someone who spends lots or vice versa - people should spend €0 - €1000+ as long as it's the right amount for them!
Diamond is great! You can do it my friend and there's half the season left! And even if not, just getting to Diamond should net you nice star bonus for next season :) :)
Card 1 - "Deal 1 damage to 3 random different enemies."
Card 2 - "When you cast a spell...stop all enemy spells and skills targeting me."
Apparently random = targeting. Fucking bullshit.
Yeah Make it Rain is really weird in how it interacts with other cards. When it was revealed I expected it to select its targets once the effect resolves, but instead it selects its targets immediately when its played and before the effect resolves. This makes it interact with other cards that interact with targeting effects (e.g. Ezreal and Fizz). It also gives the opponent a much better chance to respond, as they will know exactly which of their units are about to get hit.
I'm not sure if I would prefer the spell to select its targets when the effect resolves and not before, or the way it currently works. The former would give both players the same amount of knowledge to work with, but it would probably also make the card much more frustrating to play against.

You can set a "favorite portrait" for each class, so that whenever you make a new deck, it's that portrait, but you can also change to portrait for each deck individually.
I'll try and write down my thoughts about this like last time. Maybe someone is able to pick up a piece and we'll get there together.
"cop folded shoplifters"
DestroyerR told us it's an anagram, so rearranging the letters presents us not only with a coherent answer but also with a hint at a specific card which is strong enough to solve the riddle.
From "cop" alone I would deduce that the anagram consists of the whole answer and not word by word, since I don't know another word made of the letter c, o and p. So we're looking for a sentence with an unknown number of words, made of 20 letters. (The number of words in the solution would be a great hint!) On second thoughts, maybe the number of words and the number of letters per word are correct... that makes me pretty sure the first word is "the".
I'd still like to try and think of the solution from the back end onwards like in my example with Hagatha. There aren't that many characters who are iconic enough in context with their set to determine them with a short sentence. The Lich King is another one that comes to mind as well as Arch-Villain Rafaam, Medivh, the Guardian and Dr. Boom, Mad Genius.
None of those ring a bell for me when it comes to the fact that the riddle is presented in the form of an interview. The only connection I can come up with is Rafaam recruiting the League of E.V.I.L. - maybe he did some job interviews?
Finally, "mischievous spirits" causes an itch at the back of my mind. Maybe there's a hint in here, but I don't get it (yet). It feels like an error textbox for a game, but that wouldn't help solving the riddle.
Conclusion: I guess the first word is "the" and it has to be a card that is iconic for it's set. For the sake of making a guess, I say The Lich King.
it’s a minion, but not that one. as for the hint you requested, the de-scrambled answer contains 5 words. another nudge: perhaps you should try to think less about how iconic a card is in a set or Deck in order to pinpoint it, and more about how... flavorful it can be.
lastly, the mischievous spirits part isn’t meaningful in any way, it’s just an excuse to make an anagram.
i’m glad this take on the riddle is challenging, but if this isn’t that fun for you guys i’ll tone it down a bit
