  • New Bilgewater Champion - Nautilus

With my weird [Hearthstone Card (Zephyr Sage) Not Found] shenanigans, you can get to less than 15 cards pretty fast and on a pretty consistent basis. Naut will give my Zpehyrs +3/+3 and also add some that were Tossed. Also with [Hearthstone Card (Smooth Soloist) Not Found], they can cost up to (0) mana.

I'm sorry for being so obsessed with that Sage, but I guess I really enjoy the idea of this late game win codition that cannot be countered once you pull it off.

  • New Bilgewater Card - Dreg Dredgers

it's much better than the spell, if you play 3 of this(by turn 2) you are already at 15 cards drawn you only need 10 more for deep to be enabled which doesn't seem like too much I think this card enables early deep triggers maybe by turn 5 or 6..

  • New Bilgewater Champion - Nautilus

if you can get into deep by turn 7 or 8 this card can be really devastating.. I mean you can then flood the board with 7/7s on the same turn!

that's really strong.. but how long will it take you to get to 15 or less cards in deck?

there's not only toss but also card draw, natural draw and other synergies like maokai..

  • New Bilgewater Champion - Fizz

    Quote From OldManSanns

I really want to like this card.  He's like a cheeky Teemo: cast a spell to give him elusive, cast again to negate removal...  The problem is that Ionia elusive decks exist, and they will just block this guy with a Greenglade Duo or Assasin or even Bladescout and then that will be that.  The good news is that this probably means Ionia elusive burn as we know it will ultimately be significantly nerfed.  The bad news is that if Fizz is any good, elusive burn decks are just hoping to rise up to counter them--and if he's bad, then we'll he's bad.  Therefore I can't see giving him any higher than 2:5.

that's very narrow way to think about fizz..

fizz is a 1 drop, you pay 1 mana to play him.. that's it.. and it got elusive when you cast any spell in the round while being annoying to deal with.. if fizz can trade up into a 3 or 4 cost elusive then it's great.. isn't it?

Thanks a lot for that Pirate Galakrond Warrior list! That's exactly what I was looking for! I just love Deathwing, Mad Aspect and it's entry animation (CATACLYSM!!) and call me stupid but I'm also a huge fan of the Deathwing alternate Warrior hero but didn't feel comfortable playing a classic Pirate Warrior list with him. The flavor just wasn't there for me. That's fixed I guess :-)))

  • Top Secret - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

    Pro

I agree, most of the Rogue secrets don't appeal to me either. My favorites are Counter Shot, Saving Grace and Maternal Instinct in that order, they all got 5 stars from me.

I'm not sure what to do about the "go dormant for 2 turns" issue. I will definitely give them all the same rating since I don't know if one of them knew of the others and I don't see any major differences between them (no spelling mistakes, art looks good on all of them, ...). I would initially have given 4 stars, maybe even 5, but that doesn't feel right anymore with three identical entries. I reduced my votes to 3 stars for the moment but I will think some more about it till the deadline tonight. It's a hard decision for me. Is someone willing to discuss how they are rating these cards and why?

It doesn't say instead, so I guess it first stun them and then shuffles into the deck if there's a nautilus.

Yeah, but does Yasuo get to damage them? Because if he does and kills the minion, it shouldn't be reshuffled.

  • New Bilgewater Spell - Jettison

This card does basically nothing, unless you try to turbo maokai, or turbo deep this isn't that great, I think this will ultimately not see play.. But also it makes Coral Creatures unplayable, sadly, unless of corse you benefit from toss.. or discard.. but  P&Z got a lot of trolly 1 cost spells as well.

How does this work with Yasuo? Doeas he get to deal the damage or does the card get shuffled first?

  • Nautilus is the Newest Champion Coming to Legends of Runeterra in the Rising Tides Expansion + Deep Mechanic

Maokai decks look less of a meme now, with a natural 2nd champion to go into that deck.

About the deep mechanic, without intervention you can't reack that mechanic quickly so you have to use toss, hope lower cost units have that mechanic for it to work better since there are diminishing returns for stats, more than a 6/6 is generally an overkill.

So big stuff getting +3/+3 is worse than a small guy getting that boost.

Nautilus has fearsome so at least he can't get chump blocked..

Riptide is bad if you are in Ionia since there is a better card in that region.

0 mana 7/7 if you have Nautilus on board.

If my calculations are correct and if they keep their goal of revealing all 120+ cards through April 27th (cause they will make them live by April 28th with patch 1.0) then we should see new card reveals every 10 hours, with some 10-12 new cards each time, so far they have revealed 64 collectible cards + 11 tokens.

I hear that Legends of Runeterra is going live on 30th April. Is this date confirmed?

South East Asia could not access the Open Beta.

The one catch is they aren't launching yet in China or Vietnam, so hopefully you aren't in one of those countries. Otherwise: hope to see you Thursday!  This game is SUPER f2p-friendly: just make sure to hit Vault Level at least Level 5 preferably 10 every week by Tuesday and you'll have a some respectable decks after ~1 month and a decent collection after ~2.

I live in Thailand so I'll be able to play! Thanks for the tips!

  • New Noxus Card - Citybreaker

In light of the new Plunder mechanic, I'm updating my rating from 2:5 to 4:5.

  • The Beast Below

4 Mana 7/7 if you're deep by the way.

Seems cool, but way too slow and small of an impact compared to the other late game win conditions like “Tuskraider”. It does seem like it’ll be an interesting deck though, especially with all the different combinations of regions you can use. Hopefully, Riot releases a 3 Region game mode so that I can pair Toss cards in SI and Bilgewater with the Piltover and Zaun shuffle cards

  • Release date confirmed?

Thanks! I have no clue of what the rules and the mechanics are. I'll jump into the tutorial and we'll see from there.
