Robotic 2 made the trick for me: it's a combination between Mechs, Murlocs and Silver Hand stuff. I was even able to pull off V-07-TR-0N one game without too much set up.
Sounds a lot like my earlier confusion with how the "survive damage" effects interact with barrier. I guess it's consistent, although it seems highly unintuitive.
This. I'm firmly in the "don't-treat-0-damage-as-damage" camp, but at the very least, there is consistency here.
Not too sure about thread placement, but figured this was the most logical place for it. And so I wanted to ask whats an "Avatar theme" it's listed in profile customization but I haven't seen anyone with one and don't have any of my own so I was just kind of wondering what it was.
All spells bar this one will fizzle if their target is removed prior to resolution, irrespective of their effect on Nexus health.
As it just came to mind, I want to add that this only applies to single-target spells. A Trueshot Barrage will continue to resolve if 1 (or 2) of its targets is removed beforehand. One could construe an argument where Final Spark always has the enemy Nexus as its secondary target by default. I know it's a bit of stretch, but worth thinking about in my opinion.
I wouldn't mind some more gadgetzan either since it was when I started playing. Controversially I loved golems but never used druid so I would love a revisit to see Aya again plus the tri-class mechanic was sweet and I'm confused why they never did that again.
Hello all, first post on this site, looking for advice on balancing the following:
Show Spoiler
First off! Welcome to OOC! And secondly welcome to the WCDC (Weekly Card Design Competition)!
I like your idea with this card. I would agree with what DescentOfDragonsOp said. A drop to 6-mana should be fine. Since the card doesn't reduce the cost of the cards, Mage will have a hard time playing all of the copies that are created. Because of this, 6-mana is more than acceptable. You will already be losing an entire turn of tempo just to copy all your big spells. I might even say 5-mana would be even better. I'm looking at Hunting Party which has a similar effect.
I'm just gonna reply to myself here before someone else calls me on it. Yes, it's wrong to misrepresent someone else's comments like I've done above. However, the comment I'm responding to misrepresents my original statement. I'm not "demanding" anything, and I'm not really even complaining either.
I love to come to this forum to discuss Hearthstone with other players. I started this thread to see what other players thought about the Tekahn interaction. Most people replied to point out how rare it is, and that it's not an issue. I agree. A few replied to say that they had also encountered it, and basically, yeah that's crazy good luck if you pull that off. I think that's kind of what I was going for in the first place. I'm not going to edit the thread title and pretend I didn't say the combo "should not be allowed." But I will say here that I no longer see it as an issue, just a crazy powerful synergy that you are incredibly unlikely to pull off.
Thanks to Alfi above for doing the math. 3% chance to get Tekahn? I'm certainly not banking on that. Out of curiosity, how many dragons are there and what are the chances Alex would give you herself (pre-nerf)?
Edwin VanCleef - it's time for Rogue to stop being able to steal wins with an early Edwin. This card is used in too many Rogue decks, and I feel a change is needed to keep things fresh.
Leeroy Jenkins - I'm torn about this. Leeroy I have a love/hate relationship with. Having a Charge minion for an aggro finisher is important to the health of the meta. But really, how many more years are we going to be able to put up with hearing "Leeeeroy Jenkins!!!" right before we die? It's a classic card, with amazing flavor. I appreciate everything this card is... but I think it's time to send him out of Standard.
There's always a pack opening thread right after new expansion for people to gloat/complain/commiserate, so I was curious if anyone else who's as data-driven as I am bothers to track their progress over the course of an expansion? Usually about a month out from the new expansion I stop buying packs at a "final" legendary and start hoarding gold for the next one, and I got that final Legendary today (Bandersmosh btw...cool...) so since I'm done getting DoD packs I thought I'd dump my stats here and if anyone else wants to chime in, get on in here:
233 DoD Packs opened
11 Legendaries - so Avg. 1 per 21.4 packs. Shortest time between pulls was 4 packs (which was NOT the one from your first 10 - that one came at pack 9...), longest was 37. 1 was Golden.
58 Epics - so Avg. 1 per 4.0 packs. Only 2 were Golden.
133 "40 Dust-er" packs - so 57.1% of all packs were the bare minimum.
Overall I'm fairly pleased with this expansion. I seemed to be right around the generally-believed "averages" on openings. Only dark spots were 1) that most of the Legendaries I got were ones I haven't found good use for (yet?), so most of the Dust generated this expansion went to crafting the good Legendaries. 2) I know the "end Epic duplicates" has been discussed to death, but despite my getting 58 Epics - which could have given 2 copies each of every single Epic (54 card) and I'd still have 4 "extras" - I'm still missing 13 Epic copies (and that's also after crafting a handful). So it's kind of crazy to see in stark terms that ~30% of the Epics I opened were duplicates.
Hello all, first post on this site, looking for advice on balancing the following:
i like this card maybe lower the cost by 1 mana becuase mage doesnt have alot of good spells that cost more than 5 (yes i know about blizzard firestrike and puzzlebox exist)
KANSAS: I prefer Ritual of Rejuvenation. It might be a bit too strong for the cost, since you're guaranteed to discover something good. I don't like double discovers so no Eaveadrop for me, Hellrat is too weak because of board space maximum and no offense, but the spider is boring.
I like the spider, I really want beast druid to be a thing. Do you think there is a way I could change it to make it more interesting? Or should I just submit Ritual of Rejuvenation?
First of all: it's just my opinion, there surely are lots of people who like beast druid. If you want to make me play this card though, you could try and rise the power level: make the deathrattle summon two copies! I guess that would have to show in the rarity and the stats, but it would certainly make me wanna try it out.
What am I really likely to get? A few epics, maybe a legendary, and a golden card or two that promote synergies I might build a deck around once or twice, but never revisit? The true value of this bundle is in the dust, but the collector in me would never disenchant a card I don't have two of. So, realistically, it's a waste of money.

I rerolled the quest and it just disapeared. Logged back in and it was back, this time unable to being rerolled. Guess you are right

I think you always get quest (1) for the first day, quest (2) for the second day etc.

They also have themes for members that donate to the Patreon. The one I have is the bronze tier, but they also have silver and gold tiers.

Do You Copy? - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread
Thank you DescentOfDragonsOp and Xarkkal.
The higher mana cost was a holdover from when the card copied all spells, and I think that I agree with the cost reduction.
Revised:
EDIT: Considering changing the name to a play on Hunting Party

Dudes is it safe to re roll the quests (to get 2packs instead of the single) anyone know?
Is Final Spark / Karma interactions intended?

2020 Hall of Fame Predictions
With the new year announcement just around the corner, what are everyone's predictions for which cards get sent to the Hall of Fame this year?
My predictions:
Divine Spirit and/or Inner Fire - this should have happened last year
Edwin VanCleef - it's time for Rogue to stop being able to steal wins with an early Edwin. This card is used in too many Rogue decks, and I feel a change is needed to keep things fresh.
Leeroy Jenkins - I'm torn about this. Leeroy I have a love/hate relationship with. Having a Charge minion for an aggro finisher is important to the health of the meta. Does anyone think blizzard is low key trying to teach people how viruses work? One deck will be best and “infect” all players in a couple days.
